I called Conway Traders after the original company I had contracted with could not get the job done. Paul, the owner of the company, was very responsive and easy to work with. He gave me an estimate quickly and completed the job before winter set in. He answers phone calls very quickly and is ready to answer questions and concerns whenever needed. The system has worked flawlessly since it was installed. Paul is friendly, competent and a straight shooter. One caveat: Paul explained his system to us and we went with it. However, what I didn't know was that his system is less efficient than some others out there. That is, less of the solar heat gets used than other systems. The reason for this, as explained by Paul is that his system will be easier to repair and keep up than systems that are more efficient. Had I known just how less efficient his system was, I might have spent more time getting other quotes from other installers. But, Paul has a really good reputation and because our original contractor failed to do the job, winter was approaching and he was ready to go. This is all to say that if you are looking to get a system, compare how the heat is transferred from the solar collectors to your hot water tank. Ask each installer their experience over time with each system's repair record and cost of upkeep.

Having heard the prices of other systems by other installers, I think the price was high. But, I was in a jam and didn't want to spend a lot of time getting estimates. He sized up the job, helped me get money back from the installer who never finished the job, and had it up and running as quickly as possible.
