Olde Town Fuel

Brad is great. He left an appointment to fix my hot water heater before I had to catch a place this afternoon. Called me back in an hour and was at my place 45 minutes later. He take your heating system repairs personally. Great job!

The gentleman from Olde Town Fuel lets my tank get down to 30 gallons of fuel oil using a weather index and computer before he delivers more which I don't like because the problem I have is if we get a huge winter storm and he can't get in then my house is going to freeze up. He comes from a distance and doesn't want to come for only 100 gallons because it's not profitable for him. Right now I'm in the process of converting from fuel oil to natural gas. I'm not going to fight the battle any longer. He delivers when he wants to so sometimes I fib when I call him especially when I know there's a storm coming. He should know me because it's ongoing. I've priced other places and they are all within 5 cents of each other so pricing is not an issue with Olde Town Fuel.

The service is very good and they are very responsive. If I happen to have an issue they are here within several hours. They probably are not the cheapest oil company around but I know the guy who owns it and I like him. He also is reliable but I think they are a little pricier than others.

Old oil furnace needed to be replaced. We got 3 estimates and Olde Town (which is also our oil company) gave us the best unit for the price. We are very happy with them. Brad arranged to come out with 2 sheet metal guys to install the new unit on a Saturday so we could have heat ASAP. One company who came out to talk to us never sent the promised estimates, after trying to insist we change to gas, which we didn't want to do. The third place came in too high for a lesser quality model. We are very happy with our choice. Since the new furnace is supposed to be more efficient, we'll see what we save on oil and I'll update this review in the Spring.

He is always reachable and dependable even when we are late paying our bill.

John from Olde Town Fuel is the fourth person to clean our furnace et al., and he is by far best. He was meticulous and devoted more time and care to the work than anyone before him. He certainly knows his way around the various parts of the system and how to deal with each of them efficiently and thoroughly. We switched to Olde Town Fuel because we recently signed up with Mass Energy, which assigned the company to us. I'm very glad they did, not only because the service thus far has been excellent, but also because the cost of fuel oil significantly better than most other regional providers' (in part due to Mass Energy discount).
