He came out exactly on time. Did a thorough check of the area. We had been 'burned' by another service. Jim from Groton was great he agreed we had a rat and mouse problem. He lent us some traps, gave us advice on trapping and where to set them. Very successful we caught rat and are on the way to eliminating problem.

He was very nice and I would recommend them because they did a good job. They did as they promised to use natural substance. And he replied very promptly. And he gave an Angie's List discount.

The owner, Jim, sprayed for wasps and treated the yard for ticks and mosquitoes. We were happy with both services. He explained what he was doing, appeared to be very thorough, and guaranteed his work. We noticed a definite decrease in insect activity after the treatments.

This was great. They did an awesome job.

Not good. He put down some traps and said he would come back in a month to check them. He never came. I called several and left several messages and got no response. The problem never was resolved. This is a surprise because he did excellent work for us in the past and is generally a nice guy.

We were quoted a price of $185 for mouse extermination. Jim called before he arrived and arrived punctually. He carefully inspected our basement, pointing out where the mice were getting in. Here's the kicker: he declined the chance to make some money. As he told me, our situation wasn't a good one for his bait traps. He discussed some alternatives which have already proven useful. I wish all in-home service providers demonstrated the professionalism and ethics that Jim did.

Jim was EXCELLENT. He was very professional and friendly. He got along great with our dog and cats. He looked at all the areas of concern and asked several questions to make sure we were missing anything. Additionally, while he was here, we asked him questions about other pests. We would definitely use Jim again if we had a pest issue and we would gladly recommend him to anyone. He was great and provided great service.

Everything went very well. He responded to my initial service request very quickly, and he showed up the next day on time. He explained to me what he thought was going on, placed traps as appropriate, and gave me instructions on next steps. Hopefully this will take care of the problem, but he gave me a heads up that I might be dealing with more than mice.

Jim was friendly and very clear on how every thing would work. He carefully explained why the traps would not be a problem for our 2 cats. We have not seen or heard any mice since he was here.

Went well....I had some very smart mice, who were avoiding the traps. After the initial consult, we were still having issues. He came back, checked traps, repositioned and reconfigured what we were doing, no charge. So far, so good! We will see when the weather turns, but I would definitely call him back immediately if needed.

We've used Groton Pest Control for years. Jim is always arrives when scheduled. Our home treatment takes about 2 hours. Jim carefully explains the process and double checks to make sure what rooms will be sprayed with what. He is customer focused and takes great pride in his work. If there is a problem after treatment he quickly returns to retreat. In ten years we've only had to have that done once. If he comes across something that is outside what he does such as termites or wildlife problems he makes recommendations. Some years back we found that quite helpful when we had bats and flying squirrels in our attic. Although he was able to depose of a rather large hornets nest that made residence in the attic. We've also had a hornets nest under our outside deck as well as underground hornets Jim took care of both problems. Jim is the ultimate professional who excels in his profession. I highly recommend Groton Pest Control for treatment and prevention of any insect problems you might have.

They were prompt and professional. They came the very day I called and completely the required inspection in under an hour.

The treatment was very effective. We noticed a number of ants and other bugs around the house before we had it done, and didn't see any ants in the house the rest of the Spring/Summer after Jim came out and applied the treatment. Jim was also very personable and gave some helpful advice on how to protect against other types of pests.

Placed many bait traps throughout the home. Was very knowledgeable and set the right expectations that it may take one than one treatment based on the amount of activity. After 2 weeks we were still hearing mice in the walls/ceilings as he expected. He returned promptly and checked and re-baited all the traps. One week later it was all quiet, When looking to seal up the locations he suggested I found 4 different locations with dead mice. All sealed up and have not had a problem since. Went thru an entire winter with no mice activity for the first time in years. Quite happy!

There was not much that they could do, because we have an old house and there was no way to keep the critters out. Mice were coming in from the outside and he did an inspection. He did give us some good advice on how to catch them. I will probably call him again in the spring. He knows his stuff and I would recommend him.

I had some houseguests recently that heard some "scratching & rustling" in the ceiling while they slept. I requested Groton Pest Control come and take a look. Over the phone, he asked questions and tried to get a feel for the issue. He was on time for the appointment and arrived ready to go. He went up into the attic, the room where the noise was coming from and then checked the basement. We assumed it was mice since there were mice droppings around the insulation. (Last year I had some mice I wiped out.) He put out what must have been 10-14 food-like traps around the attic and basement. He was open to questions and we discussed the problem & what to do. He said the enclosed traps have poisen that usually causes animals (more than mice like it, apparently its tempting to them) to want to get out into the air, which means they don't die in the walls, they crawl out of the house to get fresh air. The traps don't trap them in the trap itself, it has a way to get in and eat, but the poisen isn't exposed. Sure enough, 2-4 days later, I was getting the hose and I found 3 dead birds all in one spot below the window/area that the sounds were coming from. No more noises. He followed up with a call about 2 weeks later to see how things were going and to see if he needed to come over to evaluate the traps. I called him back and said issue is gone, thank you!

Jim was prompt, informative, and professional. He also did a free walkthrough of our house to give us some helpful tips on how to prevent pests from getting in when we moved in a few months earlier. His prices were very reasonable as well. Jim was also honest and went out of his way to make sure that the carpenter ant treatment would be effective. The day that Jim was scheduled to do the work had rain in the forecast the following day, so when he came out he recommended that he come back another time since the rain could rinse away some of the chemicals and make the treatment less effective. He came back a week later and did the work, and we haven't had any ant issues since.

While on the quarterly service you can call them if you need anything and they will come out. It is included in the maintenance. They will spray the foundation for ants and spiders. He comes back a couple months later to spray around the gutters and soffit for bees and wasps. The service works and it is efficient. You don't have to pay again if you have a problem between quarterly maintenance.
