 + -1 moreHe waited until the last minute and ended up causing serious fire hazard damage to the electrical system. Disconnected random wiring that he failed to reconnect. Left trash at our house. He was irritable and distructive and gruff throughout the process.
Description of Work: We purchased a home. This electrician had supposedly updated the wiring in the home for previous owner. During inspection it was discovered that he repaired only what could be seen without looking hard. Homeseller brought him back in to finish the job and paid him the fee.

 + -1 moreLike the other person who reported, I was impressed that he showed up quickly, seemed undaunted by the job, and gave me a quick estimate. All downhill from there. He sometimes went a whole week without showing up or calling, installed the light fixture upside down, left a brand-new fan on my porch (which he probably charged me for), left his tarps and trash here, lied, saying he had come by when he actually hadn't, and put me off with innumerable "emergencies." Worst of all, the fan was installed wrong and doesn't exhaust the bathroom. The job has been dragging on for almost two months. He was supposed to show up today but called to say it was raining where he was and he wasn't coming. I happened to be at home sick, and the sky was a beautiful blue with sun. He also did not communicate with me about all the holes that would be left in the ceiling and walls once he was done, so I will have to get a carpenter in to do that and, most likely, a more professional electrician to fix the botched fan job.
Description of Work: Bathroom light fixture and exhaust fan installed--included wiring and new switches.

Description of Work: I made a mistake of hiring based on a price and never checked references. (Big Oops!). He often didn't show up on days he chose to come and work, rarely returned phone calls, made some minor mistakes (which were pointed out and eventually corrected), didn't always clean up, and tried to charge extra.
