We were extremely impressed with Jon's work ethic, attention to detail and the way that he cared for our yard as if it were his own. We were very pleased with the way he cleaned up loose debris from the walkway, ramp and driveway when he was finished with the job. He was very polite, friendly, hard working and made sure we were happy with his work before he was done. We would highly recomment him and will look forward to having him do some additional landscaping in the spring.
Description of Work: Jon was very prompt at returning our call for an estimate on yard work. He came by the next day and we went over the different areas of our yard that needed work and discussed what could be done. We then hired Jon to do some yard work for us including cleaning up a summer's worth of weeds around plant and shrub beds, reshaping overgrown trees and shrubs, and removing some dead shrubs. He also removed some poison ivy that had crept into the backyard.

John was awesome! He called me right back and came to provide an estimate at my earliest convenience. John and his crew are courteous, professional and efficient. We are using them biweekly now and plan to use them for fall and spring clean up as well. The work was done at the price discussed and exceeded expectations.

Outstanding! In short, hiring Jon was the best landscaping decision we've made in the 13 years we've lived here and we've had a lot of landscaping work done. My wife and I are incredibly impressed. I originally gave Jon a B for price. I thought he was a tad pricey but given what the yard looked like before he and his crew got here, what it looks like now, and the diligence they took to get it looking like it does now, it was very fairly priced. We would absolutely recommend Signature Grounds.
Description of Work: mowed, bagged, and weed an acre property. Jon and crew showed up on time, worked for, in excess of, 4 hours in the heat of the day after a rain. My wife said they filled a dump truck full of lawn clippings and weeds. Things they were not specifically expected to do they did. They went above and beyond expectations. Neither my wife, nor I, have ever seen the yard look this good.

I called on 7/26 (Friday) to ask whether Signature Grounds did work in my area. He called back very promptly and offered to come over and give me an estimate that afternoon. We met that afternoon and went over the yard. I was interested first in lawnmowing, as we have been too busy lately to attend to this, and secondly in taking care of some overgrowth in our shrubs (trees growing up through the shrubs, trimming, weeding, etc.) He emphasized how busy the company was and quot;because of Angie's listand quot; and seemed dubious about doing the larger work (and quot;we're so busyand quot;), but agreed to do the lawnmowing next Tuesday. I walked him around my several large beds of flowers and explained that they had overgrown their borders but that I did not want them mown. I explicitly pointed out several plants to be careful about. I came home late from work Monday night (11:00 -- there is a reason we have not had time to mow the lawn!) and discovered that they had done the work early. I was a little displeased as I had rearranged my schedule so that I could work from home Tuesday and be present when they were doing the work for the first time, but I would have let this pass. The grass was short and they had trimmed the weeds growing along the sidewalk: so far, they had done what they had contracted to do. HOWEVER, they had mown over three well-established plants. A sage (a foot and a half tall! It looked nothing like the grass!) I had pointed out, a gayfeather I had pointed out (in bloom), and a phlox. I hadn't bothered to point out the phlox as and quot;don't mow thisand quot; because it was BEHIND the gayfeather (which I DID point out as and quot; This is a garden plant, don't mow itand quot;), and the gayfeather was behind an obvious plant marker (made of sticks and string). The plants they killed were gifts from a friend and cannot be replaced. TL;DR/IN SHORT: I recommend you hire a neighbor's kid to mow your lawn. They will also mow down your prize plants, of course, but they won't charge so much to do it.

After the long winter the front, back and side yard of our new house were a mess, we had grass, mulch and rocks that had all mixed together, pine cones and broken tree limbs were every where. Recently moving from an apartment in the city to a new house, my husband and I had no experience with lawn care and were clueless on how to take care of the mess. We found a couple of places that do yard and lawn work on Angie's list and gave them a call for estimates. John from Signature Grounds really impressed us. We explained what we were looking for and he spent close to an hour discussing all the options of things we could do for our yard. He was courteous and professional, he answered all of our questions and took his time explaining in detail every aspect of the job. He said he would email us a quote in a couple of days and he did. The price was very reasonable. We called him back the next day and set up an appointment for the end of the week. He showed up on time and started the work. He did a beautiful job with the Spring clean up. He treated for grubs and re-seeded the grass, removed all debris, swept up all the sand left from the street sanding, and removed the old mulch. He even removed a Christmas tree that had been thrown in the bushes by the house. We had decided to lay new mulch in front of the house and around some trees, but left the back yard for me and my husband to experiment with at a later time. John took the time to show us the how to and what not to do and offered to deliver the mulch to us when we were ready to take on the project. When he was finished, John took the time to walk around the house with us to make sure the job was done to our satisfaction. We were more than pleased. Signature Grounds did a wonderful job! I was very impressed from the initial consultation all the way through to the completed job. I would refer Signature Grounds to my friends and family with confidence. We are having him continue to help us through the summer with the additional lawn and yard care and mowing. Great company, great job.

The section of yard is hilly and abutts the swimming pool fence. It also includes two sections with pine trees on them. The yard hadn't been mulched in a couple of years and was completed covered in dead weeds and grass. My husband and I are retired and decided we could not handle such a big job. Jonathan came with a crew of two other men and completed weeded the whole are. When they were done, the whole section was down to bare ground. There is absolutely no way my husband and I could have accomplished what they did. It took 17 yards of mulch to cover the whole area. In a matter of a day and a half, the yard was completed. The workers were friendly, professional, and courteous. They cleaned up completely including sweeping the street in the area they worked. I would not hesitate to call them again or recommend them to family and friends. I was so impressed that I asked to have a company sign placed on the lawn so that passers-by would know who did the work.
