Peerless Audio and Video

A few months ago, we decided to have surround sound speakers installed in our family room, which then morphed into a bigger project. Greg and his team came and installed five in-ceiling speakers in our family room, and two in our kitchen area. The day of the project, we asked him to look into his putting speakers in both our dining room and outside on the deck. By the time we came home that night, we had speakers in all of those places with zero holes made anywhere else. The AV system and remote is designed very intuitively such that anybody can do it. Greg is very professional, fair with his pricing, and most importantly very good at what he does. Overall, our conclusion at the end of the project was: why didn't we do this years ago. Would recommend Peerless without hesitation.

Greg was excellent! After a phone conversation he came out to the house in about 48 hours, diagnosed problem, reviewed options, and gave system a once-over. He found some issues with the wiring, discussed my needs for the system and gave multiple options on a solution. Estimate came in a couple of days, a bit high for my budget so we removed some items and was satisfied with the price of the amplifier and work to be done. Greg upgraded the wire connections, installed new amplifier, spent the morning fine-tuning the system. He took his time and did a thorough job that improved the performance of my home theater. He is a bit on the pricey size compared to Best Buy, but if you have a high quality system, he matches it with high quality work. My system now sounds, looks and performs better than the original installation. I even called him back with more questions and Greg patiently answered them after the original work was done.

Greg was great from beginning to the end of the project. He met with us and listened to our needs and then designed the system based on our input. Greg answered all our questions and concerns before we committed to the project. After we decided to go ahead, Greg gave us a timeline and stuck with it. Besides his work being clean and exceptional, his demeanor was upbeat and added to the excitement of the project. . After the installation was done, he spent a great deal of time with us instructing us on the use of the system. His electrician sub that he retained was also exceptional.

Greg selected components that fit our budget and our room. The system that he and his electrician installed is unobtrusive until we fire it up; then it fills the room and vibrates the walls! The rear speakers are wall mounted, the powerful subwoofer fits neatly in a corner and the front/center speaker soundbar is tucked neatly into the space between the top of the TV and the bottom of the shelf above the TV. Greg obviously takes great pride in the quality of his work and in his choices of components. He balanced the speakers and showed us how to adjust the level of bass on the subwoofer. He cleaned up before he left and followed up with us later to make sure we were satisfied.

Greg was in the neighborhood and stopped by to adjust a few minor issues with the sound/TV System. He has installed a home theater system for us and I would recommend his company and services. He is professional, polite and gets the job done, he doesn't put off the job for the next day, he will stay until it is completed and the customer is satisfied.

I had the pleasure of using Greg in my professional capacity, and saw that his quality of work and knowledge was extremely high. I asked him to do some work for me at my home. He came by, talked his thought process through with me, listened to my concerns, and developed a plan that worked not only for my technical requirements, but for my budget as well. Installation was extremely organized, and both Greg and his electrician kept the work area neat and cleaned up at the end of the job. My wife and I have been going to Greg Wilhelm at Peerless AV for many years now, and he has never failed to impress. He is responsive, punctual, a straight-shooter, and - above all - extremely knowledgeable. Greg has completed a number of projects for us over the years, including installing full home theater systems, multiple TVs, a projector, in-ceiling speakers, and control systems to make it all easy to control for everyone in the family (and even the babysitters). His professionalism and ability to explain these complex toys in a simple manner have made me (and my wife) more comfortable upgrading our stereos and TVs, knowing that he can make it all work. He probably spend 20 minutes with us after we replaced our receiver just explaining what everything was and how to make it work. He kept the lesson focused on the fundamentals that we'd need to get the most out of the system and was happy to dive into the technical details when I asked about them. At the end of the install both my wife and I felt comfortable using the system, which made the whole process much easier for all of us. I figure that I can probably muddle my way through setting up this stuff, but my time is value as well, so why screw around with it when Greg can get it done with beautiful professional results in 1/4 the time. Wires all zip tied nice and tidy, boxes and packing mess all gone, everything configured right, the remotes all working in unison (or replaced by one that does it all perfectly). But all of that is the basic blocking and tackling stuff. Where Greg moves from an A to "Peerless" is in his tremendous knowledge of the products, market, and theory. He knows the details behind the details, like how to achieve great hidden surround sound even in a small room (while still maintaining high wife acceptance factor), or how to get rid of all those CDs with a diskless system. An example: I had a nice Sony panel tv for a couple years. I'd gone into the settings and adjusted it so it looked even better to my eye than the original configuration. While installing the new receiver Greg took a look at the TV and - after some magical incantations - dramatically improved the picture. What I thought I'd "dialed-in" looked like a mess compared to the accurate, beautiful picture he coaxed out of my TV. The resultant picture looked so real during the Super Bowl that it felt like we could reach out and touch Brady! I didn't even know what I was missing! Now I rely on him for all my AV. I get peace of mind knowing that I'll get quality equipment, that it'll be setup right, and that at the end of the day I'll be able to use it without trouble. If you want someone that knows what they are doing and will successfully complete the job on time, Greg Wilhelm at Peerless Audio and Video is the guy for you.

Greg is a very knowledgeable and skilled AV installer. I hired Greg for a new installation including a high defiinition TV, Blu-Ray player, surround sound system and an integrated remote. He did an excellent job installing the entire system as well as wiring components to my home network.. Greg has been very responsive the few times I have had to contact him with questions or problems I've experienced. I would not hesitate to use Peerless AV again if the need arises.

Greg arrived on time and was very professional. The room we had chosen for our home theater was not an ideal location (a skylight to deal with, no access behind walls or ceilings) but Greg was able to come up with a solution to install the cables and projector and it looks great.
