Pat's Trash was recommended to me by my cousin, who had used them for cleaning out his house before he sold it. We engaged them to remove trash, excess materials, carpeting, unwanted furniture and so on from my late mother's house when we were cleaning out the house before selling it. The house had a large amount of lumber and other building materials that my father had accumulated and saved "just in case," as well as the usual excess and worn out furniture and general waste when a house has been used for more than sixty years. Much of the material they removed was dirty, including materials stored in a garage that were filled with squirrel nest debris. But they did not complain and worked cheerfully throughout the tasks. Pat and his brother Ralph proved to be punctual, showing up exactly when promised, each time. They worked incredibly hard despite summer heat and dirty conditions, and were efficient at removing and breaking up materials to get as much as possible on each truck load. Ultimately we had them come five times, three before the house went on the market and twice after it was sold and before it changed hands. One extra task we hired them for was to rip up wall-to-wall carpet from a stairway, and to remove an area rug from under dining room furniture. I decided to use them partly because they could immediately remove the carpeting after uninstalling it, and partly because I had seen how efficient they are. We were not disappointed -- they quickly ripped up the rugs, cut them up, bagged the materials, and cleaned up. Pat and Ralph were cheerful and friendly, pleasant to deal with, and one of the best contractor experiences I have ever had, despite the unglamorous nature of what they do. I recommend them highly!

Description of Work: Contracted Pat's Trash Removal to take away two old couches, an inoperative pool heater and a broken basketball hoop. They three men who did the job were polite, careful and cleaned up after themselves [one couch required being cut into pieces]. I would recommend them and intend to use them again in the future.
