Requested visit to quote for initial lighting work (front of house, yard, driveway, etc), with subsequent project (rear, pool, etc) to follow in the spring. Also, quote sought for ongoing maintenance of irrigation system, and new system for rear. Agreed date and time. No show by contractor. No response to calls on the day, or ones made subsequently where we asked - if not interested - to simply let us know. Disappointing.

Quick responsive to initial voicemail, scheduled a time the next week to come out and perform work. Showed up on time and completed work at the price quoted on the phone.

I was referred to them by a friend. They gave me a quote within 48 hours. Getting the job scheduled took about three weeks but it got done professionally. This year I had them remove one zone and there was no additional charge.

An Estimate Desired an estimate of cost to install an irrigation system at my personal residence. Owner came out, was very positive, answered my questions and committed to provide me an estimate within 3 days. Two weeks passed and I still did not have an estimate. I called the company again and indicated I would still like to get their price to complete the work. Bottom line, I never received a price estimate and now am un-impressed with their responsiveness and follow-up. Glad I did not contract for their services if this experience is a reflection of how they conduct business. Would not recommend them.

They did a great job installing our sprinkler system. The lawn was left very neat after the installation. I asked them to change the way the wire that was run in the basement (which was my fault for not specifying it in the first place) and they had no problem doing it. Very friendly and easy going. I would highly recommend them.

They call each season to schedule when it is convenient, then arrive when they say they will and get the job done with minimal need for supervision or interaction. The system works great and they keep it going. When we have had a need for a replacement or additional visit, they've always been prompt and courteous.

My experience with McCarthy irrigation was excellent. Paul spoke to me personally about the kind of work he does. I had three estimates, and I had to decide between him and another company. Paul brought his price down, but in the end, both seemed excellent and the other company was slightly less expensive. It really was a toss up and I didn't know which to choose.

CALLED FOR ESTIMATE. PROMPT RESPONSE TO PHONE CALL. CAME OUT A WEEK LATER TO LOOK AT JOB. NEVER SUBMITTED THE ESTIMATE THAT HE PROMISED DESPITE REPEATED PHONE CALLS. HE HAD COME HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY A FRIEND, BUT I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.

THEY DID A PERFECT JOB. THEY CAME WHEN THEY SAID WOULD. OUR DOG DUG IT UP THE NEXT DAY AND THEY CAME BACK TO FIX IT AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE.

THEY WERE GOOD.
