K+K Buyer Beware - Firewood Warning - Undersized Deliveries - 11/4/2020 I have been a loyal customer of K+K Mulch, John Koshivas and his family for over ten years, so I am shocked at what just happened. On September 18, 2020, I ordered and paid for 4 cord (128 cu.ft./cord) of firewood at $300/cord. I told Cheryl, who took my order that I have been doing this for thirty years and would be stacking and measuring it. She assured me that all deliveries were guaranteed. On October 14, I received the delivery, stacked it, measured it and it totaled 2.41 cord. short by 1.59 cord. I immediately brought this to John's attention and provided him with a diagram with dimensions and invited him to verify my measurements. I visited him a couple days later and he said he agreed with the numbers and said he would take care of it. A few days later I received a second delivery which measured out to 0.62 cords, now I am at 3.03 cords. Today I visited John Koshivas's son John who told me that he didn't believe me and I would not be getting the balance of my order. He stated that he delivered the second load and it was slightly over 0.5 cords. I asked him to visit my home and confirm my measurement and he refused, I asked for a refund for the shortage ($300) and he told me I would not be getting that either. This is worse than a bad review, this is illegal. Many who purchase firewood may not take the time to stack and measure it, suggest you do it and get what you paid for. You cannot post zero stars otherwise I would. Update – 11/30/2020 After several unsuccessful attempts at resolving this issue, I visited John, the owner at the K+K site. John argued that they delivered the correct amount, but finally agreed to deliver another 0.5 cords (recall I have received slightly over 3 cords and paid for 4). I said make it 3/4 and I’ll drop it, John says he will take care of it. Four days later another delivery arrives, again it looks a little short, the driver tells me its 0.5 cord. After stacking it and measuring it I get a little over 1/3. Now I have 3.4 cords short by 0.6 or $180. John and his wife said they have delivered over 200 cords this season and have no complaints, but I find it hard to believe this is an isolated case. If there are 100 K+K customers in the area do yourself a favor, stack it and measure it, A full cord of 15” long sticks is 4’ high and 25.5’ long. Then post a review. Prices on mulch seem higher than others in the area. One year the mulch was full of organic matter that made a lot of mold/fungus grow. Sometimes the gentleman selling the mulch (the owner?) can seem a little curt. But, they're convenient, and we're happy to support a local farm.

They charged $80 to deliver the loam. They get the loam in a truck and dumped it where I wanted it. You have to order it by the cubic yard. They figured out how many cubic yards of loam I needed. They were great. They had the best price that my husband could find. They could deliver the loam the very same day. I will use them again in the future.
