Description of Work: Showed up on time, very polite, explained everything up front, and did the work in a timely manner.

Description of Work: The service man came out on time as scheduled and inspected our chimney for possible spalling. After turning our heat on for the first time this winter, we heard noises like popping or rocks dropping on roof which concerned us. He climbed the roof inspected the condition of the inside all the way down and said it all looked fine. He inspected the outside and said it looked good and the only other thing he would recommend would be to put a cap on the chimney. Other than that he said I could tell you it needs a cleaning or should have a liner installed and take your money, but it isn't needed at this time. He then came down and inspected our furnace and pointed out some safety wires and explained things to us we didn't know about the furnace shutting down if there were any obstructions such as animals that get into the chimney sometimes. It's nice to find companies that don't try and run the bill and do UN-needed work just for the sake of making money. Will call them back in the future when I need any type of work done on my chimney. Description of Work: Simple fact that this service provider's phone and scheduling work is so efficient is worth a review. I've called 4 separate services prior to this call and run into such poor scheduling/information at each call. What a relief to talk to Horizon!

Description of Work: A note to all that this provider CHARGES for estimates. I knew there were problems with 3 chimneys at our condo association and reached out to a few companies for estimates on the work needed. None charge for a free estimate - but Horizon calls it a chimney inspection and say they write a report etc. I found this out after a couple of emails back and forth. When they were ready to schedule is when I was told about the inspection fee for each chimney. Maybe I missed something on their website that said this but I do not recall. Anyway, I think this is important for everyone to know.

Description of Work: clean and inspected the chimney. He also found $2500 worth of repairs needed before I have a boiler replaced. That was a shock. So I am rating this on the work done.

Description of Work: Cleaned fireplace chimney and installed cap on top. Derek was very efficient and professional.

Description of Work: Hired Horizon to clean and inspect my chimney after my previous chimney company (Ash-Go) failed to stand by their work. Derek was prompt and professional. He identified the fact that we had had a substantial chimney fire. He cleaned and deglazed the flue and was able to see several cracked tiles. He suggested that we have him perform a level 2 video inspection to determine the exact extent of the damages. The video scan showed significant damage that is going to require that the entire flue be rebuilt. This is a major undertaking as this is central chimney and interior walls will have to be opened to get at the chimney. I will have to hire a mason to do the repair work, before I can have Derek install the new stainless liner and hook up th wood stove again.

Description of Work: - cleaning out chimney flues. Kind of a basic job. But these guys were really great. While I normally don't write reviews, these guys were on time, incredibly neat, provided excellent information on the condition of the chimneys for the house that I bought, and followed up on later days when I had questions. I have already recommended them to a colleague.
