G & C Plumbing & Heating

Had kind of an emergency shower valve cartridge pin (to which handle is attached) broke off while shower was in ON position - had to shut water main to house off. Called G and C as other plumbers were not responsive. They fit me in that same day and actually were able to arrive a little early .. Main office informed me of this and their new arrival time. Team arrived on time. They looked at the shower went back to their quote generation system and retured with a quote of $644 (plus $99 dispatch fee) for a total of $743. They were done within a half hour after starting work. They identified issues with the previous cartridge replacement job (it was upside down) and completed the job correctly. The team (Casey was the lead) was professional and did a great job (as far as I know, time will tell of course). They had all the parts necessary to complete the job. $743 is **extremely** expensive to me to do this relatively simple job. But I guess i am paying for timeliness and professionalism. Thankfully the cartidge was extractable otherwise i was looking at nearly $1300 if they had to cut the whole valve out. If i was in a pinch i would hire again - but, to me, that price was excessive

Water was leaking from above and below my bathroom sink/faucet. I purchased the faucet. New valves and connectors were provided by the plumber, all of which removed and installed. The pricing was way more than what i expected. l agreed to the fee of 99 dollars to inspect the issue. The parts and labor (excluding the faucet that I purchased) were an additional 536 dollars, which to me, was excessive.

The experience was excellent. Very good communication and clear explanation of bill. Impressed with plumbing work done.

Chris was awesome. Showed up on time, worked quickly and efficiently, cleaned up when he was done, explained everything in detail and gave me options to work with. Greg’s communication is always amazing. Oh, and did I mention they came out with just a days notice? G&C is second to none.

Update 2021 - More Praise for G and C: If I could I'd leave a 5 star review for every time we used G and C plumbing. Chris and Chris came to the rescue today to fix a boiler/furnace issue. Service is always with a great attitude and a friendly smile. We also had a boiler cleaning and servicing in the fall of 2020 we were very impressed with the service call and once again the workmanship. G and C service is the best always!

Both times that Casey has been here for repairs I have thought about how professional he is. Seriously. He is nice, He is thorough in describing what is going on. Very patient when I could not hang on to information in my head. He is clean and efficient. I have been very happy with his work.

Fixed it quickly. However, when I asked for a senior citizen discount (68), he asked me where did I hear about it? I told him Angie’s List, and he said that they make mistakes all of the time. I asked him if I were the only elderly client he’s had and he said no. I then asked him how could he not know this and told him he wasn’t telling me the truth. He later came to my door and paid me cash the discount. He did make amends by offering the discount, but it left me feeling like I couldn’t feel safe trusting him with a larger more expensive job.

When I called G&C the nicest woman answered the call (no recording!) and set up an appointment immediately. She was awesome; eager to help and ensured I would be taken care of! When G&C arrived I was so grateful. Anthony and his apprentice were excellent! They came in with big smiles (at 7:50am) and went over my specific concerns and goals. They were both professional, kind, motivated and offered headache-free options to fix my running/leaking toilet and water temperature (ie cold shower) problems - offering transparency in cost of the multiple options. They worked together to ensure I would be happy/pleased with the job. I'm so grateful that I found them and will continue to use them every time I have a plumbing or heating need. I enthusiastically recommend this company to anyone - made me feel confident and comfortable in every decision I made.

Fantastic! Brandon was polite, straightforward, and knew what he was doing. In addition to the repair we needed, he did a complimentary walk around around to point out other potential plumbing issues we may want to consider getting serviced sooner than later. I'd recommend G&C plumbing and will definitely have them back for our future plumbing needs.

I just had new cabinets put into my kitchen and I needed the plumbing to be re-hooked up – faucet, disposal, and dishwasher. I was told it would take 4-5 hours to complete and would cost $225/hour plus parts and overtime if they couldn’t come in the morning and it went past 5:00. That seemed expensive and excessive to me so I kept looking and I found another plumber who did it in 2.5 hours for $400 after 5:00 – now that’s more like it.

This job came up with little notice and the G&C plumbers, Greg, and the next day, Brandon, were ready to do the work. Required two visits. Plumbers were informative, professional, and very tidy. Job was completed without mishap and everything works well. They checked and double checked everything along the way. Brandon also found a configuration problem with the dishwasher drain that had been missed for years, leading to retained drain water in the dishwasher, and fixed that. They were right on time both days. Although the price was higher than anticipated, it is within range that is cited for such work on search sites, and replacing the cutoff valves did add to the work.

Excellent. Professional, straightforward, and fast! They also helped keep things calm during a burst pipe disaster. Our 1960's home has old plumbing issues so joining their club paid for itself within one month.

Sent an email in the morning and got an instant response, 3 hours later the team showed up in my driveway right on time. G&C were very professional, had all the latest tools and finished the job in less than a few hours. I will remember G&C and use them again for all my plumbing needs.

This was my first time using G & C Plumbing. After reviewing the repair options with Greg (rebuild vs. replace), I decided to replace the valve. Greg's and the crew arrived on time, setup quickly and completed the work a little ahead of the original estimate. During the entire process they took the time to answer my questions as I looked over their shoulder to watch their progress. They were very professional, organized and cleaned up as if they were never there. I'll definitely use them again. And one more thing; even the dog like them!

Quickly completed; photo of malfunctioning mechanism was sent in advance so that the replacement part would be on the truck. There is a family discount plan that one might wish to consider for better prices on work completed. Care was taken to wear protective sleeves over footwear. Tidy and courteous.

They are absolutely superb! It's a father and son operation so they're going to be around a while. The son was very polite and agreeable. All around they leave you with a good impression. They even went over and above to get the sink from Home Depot as I was not able to do it myself. I was really surprised by the cost, I even paid them extra because I thought their charge was too low.

They were fantastic. They were very clear on the pricing up front and how the work would go. They came when they said. They called me back with the pricing options, which was fantastic. They let me pick one. They went and picked it up and did all the work promptly. They cleaned up after themselves very well. It was like they were never here. It was good. I had three other estimates and they were all within $100. It was great.
