Dennis O'Brien Land Surveying

Dennis responded quickly to my initial inquiry, and told me the work could be done within 5 weeks. Unfortunately, the site visit did not occur until 11 weeks later. There were some issues with the initial plot, and this eventually required further site visits and consultation with another surveyor who had worked on the adjacent property. The shape of my plot is irregular, and this complicated matters. Communication during this period of uncertainty was not good, and I had to make repeated inquiries to get answers about what was going on. Paul Coutu, the surveyor who did the site visits, was very clear and helpful when I was eventually able to speak with him, and the final version of the plot resolved all the issues. However, the entire process took 5 months from the time of my original request, and much of the time I struggled to keep informed as to what was happening.

Wanted to insure that the lot line was correct as it could have shifted over 150 years. Well it did! Through the survey on one side the believed lot line was off by 5 feet! Yea! Now these guys are seasoned. They view the search for corner point of a lot a treasure hunt. They not only use the latest equipment but their experience. They end up using the corner pins and stone from adjacent properties to find our corner points. They arrived at 8 am and where here working until almost 6 pm. The report and plan diagrams, done by a drafts person will be with us soon. We're very pleased.

Posted a prior review about long delayed service- shortly after posting that review, surveying crew showed up! A phone call to let me know would have been good since I only knew they were there when someone walked across my deck! The crew was very polite and thorough. We got the plot plan in the mail- did not get the electronic copy yet and the crew said that someone would be out to walk the property and take us through the plot plan- that never happened.

Excellent. A crew of two arrived within a couple of days to initiate work, returned the following week to complete the survey within the day. A few days later, three copies of certified plot plans arrived in the mail along with the invoice.

Extremely disappointing. We had an agreement on Angie's List messaging on June 28th- last message from company was that he would start research and get a crew out in a few weeks. After 6 weeks with no word, I called and was told that it "slipped through the cracks," but that the crew would be out within the next few days, "Monday at the latest." Monday came and went without any contact. Thankfully we didn't have a strict timeline or we would have really been in a bind. For work quoted at $3100, I expected much better.

Response within 2 days from webpage request. Spoke with Dennis and scheduled work. They where about 1 month out. In less than a month Paul arrived. Prior to starting work, he took the time to explain what he planned to do and prior to leaving he walked the property lines and pointed out each property corner. My husband and I are very happy with their services. We needed an instrument survey performed as we are considering building a fence on our property. They are very responsive and work was performed quickly. They researched the property, staked it and provided us a plan of the existing conditions. We ran into issues with a neighboring property and they've been helpful through that process and answering all of our questions. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

The work went very well. I wasn't sure about the price I was quoted until they performed the survey. I had no idea how much was involved in surveying a property. I believe they were on-site for more than four hours! I received my plans in the mail within a week of the survey being completed. I would use O'Brien Land Surveying again if I have the need. I was satisfied with the service provided. The company was easy to work with. They were very responsive to my messages.

Top-Notch firm. The gentlemen who performed the survey were very professional and efficient. Provided an overview of what they were going to do, staked our entire odd lot, and then walked the property line with me to explain the excentricities of the lot. Excellent service for the price. Received 3 copies of surveyed plot about a week later in the mail.

We did call them but I don't think we had the chance to use them. The price is a little bit pricier than the others. He came on the day he said he's going to come. I have no problems with that. I think the job was much bigger than what he was willing to take on. The quote was a little higher than most. I would use him again for smaller jobs.

They estimated they could start in 6 weeks (when the snow was all melted) and they actually were able to show up earlier.The property dates back to 1907 and a parcel was added in 1924 createing a very odd shape. As a result it was not an easy job. They spent a couple of days on site and produced a plan which I reviewed. I gave them a little feedback and they made a couple of adjustments and issued a final Plan. They stayed with the original price they quoted over the phone, $1.300.00 which was very reasonable. They were pleasant to work with.

I needed a plot plan for permit to install a pool. Dennis provided an estimate for the job and anticipated completing the project in approximately three weeks. He complete the project on time and for less than the original quote. I was happy with the work.

We contacted several companies and this was the best price we found. The work was done in the timeframe we were given. We were very pleased with the men who did the surveying. They answered our questions and took their time showing us where they had placed markers once they were done. When we requested two additional markers (due to the irregular dimensions of our property) they complied right away, even though they'd already put their equipment back in the truck. The plot plan arrived promptly once the on-site work was done. By the way, the price I quoted was before the Angie's List discount coupon was applied.

Dennis and his colleagues delivered a certified plot plan of our land and home. I had found Dennis' company on Angie's list and the positive reviews held true. He was very responsive, professional, courteous and reasonable. He delivered the first plot plan to us back in the winter. We have needed a couple of updates since the size of our planned addition changed. Dennis delivered the revised plans to us very quickly which we greatly appreciated. He is reliable and executes in a timely manner. He was an absolute pleasure to work with! I would highly recommend his firm to you!

Great communication. On time. Friendly people who came to my home and did the work. Explained the process to me, coordinated with the town office, and got me the official paperwork shortly after process complete. Would use again.
