Services we don't offer
In 2015, we sold our spray foam division to Frank Bood of Insulation Done Right. All spray foam inquiries should be directed to him at 508-808-0052.
We do not install or repair vinyl siding.
Work was protracted because plumber had to do some work, so that attic insulation could be completed. Work was very well done and owner is very professional and good-natured, temperate demeanor, but failed to respond to emails or phone calls in a timely manner that would be acceptable.
Description of Work: Very professional, excellent work, but poor at responding to phone calls in a timely manner.

My experience with family-owned Rogers insulation was fantastic! Rogers proved themselves to honest, accessible, cost effective and highly knowledgeable. Overall our job went very smoothly and we are completely happy and satisfied - but what impressed me most is the Company's commitment to its customers. Making money is a reasonable goal for any company, but all too often this goal is put before customer needs, quality of workmanship and proper follow up - clearly Rogers values and prioritizes these! We had to wait a month for an appointment and we are very happy we did!

After all is said and done , I believe Rogers did an excellent job on the roof replacement but they were more expensive than others and some by substantial amounts. However, they did some work in excess of our initial requests ( 7 plywood panels, exhaust extensions out of the attic, etc.) I had to engage another contractor to guarantee that the soffit ventilation was sufficient to meet GAF's 30 year shingle guarantee would not be voided and I had to get it done before Rogers said that they could do it in order to permit Leaf Guard to install their gutters before I left town in November.
Description of Work: Rogers Insulation Specialists also does roofing work and their contact person was a Terry Holness. He emphasized the quality of their work when I responded to his initial estimate which was higher than many other contractors. Rogers eventually dropped their estimate to reflect my concerns but were still higher than the other companies. Due to Rogers' assertions as to quality I agreed to use them as I needed to return to Michigan and would not be returning to check out their execution.

The estimator who came to our home (John) was extremely knowledgeable. He made several suggestions for the crawl space and basement insulation that made sense. The installer was also extremely knowledgeable and clearly had a passion for the particular spray foam this company uses. He described a lot about the chemistry of the product and how it worked once applied. He was also very conscientious about making sure the family was out of the house and making sure that they cleaned up after they were done. Overall, we were very pleased with the results.

They were very knowledgeable, reliable, or professional. Their price seemed a little on the high side. I would use them again in the future. The responsive issue with them had to do with getting a referral to do some other insulation, and it just fell through the cracks with them, and we followed up a couple of times and they just never got it done.

Overall estimator was knowledgable and did a thorough assessment of the attic space where we had water damage from ice dams and discussed installation of outside soffit vents. Work crew came promptly as scheduled. Pleasant, knowledgable work crew, took pride in their work. Some miscommunication between scheduled work detail that the crew had received from the office and the estimated assignment from the quote but we clarified on site. It was good that I was at home to discuss and clarify. Overall the crew did a good job and were able to answer a lot of my questions about the insulation, ice dam problems and how best to mitigate in the future.

All in all, we highly recommend Rogers Insulation for the excellent workmanship of Steve, the sider, and Brian, the door installer.
Description of Work: Siding our six room ranch with thick grade shake shingle-look vinyl siding with insulation. Having lived in our home for more than 30 years we found out, through an energy audit, that the walls were not insulated. Insulation was blown into the walls before the siding was installed. A beautiful 8 ft. vinyl slider was also included in our family room. Excellent slider job! Communication could be better between the siding and insulation businesses.... Understanding that the weather plays a big factor in the vinyl siding business we made it quite clear that we were going to the west coast for 3 weeks and wanted the job completed before we left Nov 29th. Through no fault of theirs the job got delayed because the insulation could not be blown in until they received the report from the energy audit company Consumer Service Group (CSG). We were awakened at 5:30 AM(West Coast Time) telling us that they needed access to the interior of the house so that the insulating company could check to make sure that the house wasn't being filled with blown-in the insulation..... This should have been communicated to us earlier. Make certain YOU know the time line before the job is even started. Steve, the installer, was totally professional and was the highlight to the whole job. He was our best communicator / liaison with the company . He listens to the home owner and wants to be accomodating to their needs... however he had to go wherever they RIC sent him whenever they RIC wanted to. Steve actually improved the entrance-way of our breezeway with his siding work. A caution to any homeowner that wants any siding work done....Have an Energy Audit done BEFORE you decide on a Complete By Date because any insulating, window or other work may have an effect on the start / complete date! Also, try to obtain three estimates, so you do not pay more than the job is worth, and have everything you discuss in writing on the contract.

Arrival was timely. They were thorough and professional, leaving us with the advice to wait to add additional insulation until after our attic renovation plans were nearly completed. I valued this advice as it seemed logical considering the addition of dormers would potentially 'throw away' big sections of insulated areas if insulation were added earlier. I appreciated his experience and will definitely call them when I'm ready to add the insulation.

Sales guy (can't remember his name now) was very professional and courteous; did a good job of explaining exactly what would be installed and how. Installation guy was a different story; showed up unannounced and started measuring window sizes without telling me (I was inside the house and saw someone walking around the property). Installation was rather spotty; some storms fit perfectly while others I could have stuck two quarters in the crack between the storm and the frame. I had to go around and double-check his work, and I definitely am not a handyperson. And then the installer left dozens of screws scattered around the property, including the driveway (good for the wheels, right?). I had to call to ask for a cleanup job. Overall, sales guy very nice and helpful (As); love the new storm windows (As), but the installation left a bit to be desired (C). Therefore overall "B". Would I use them again? I wish AL had a "maybe, I'd probably call them for another estimate but not definitely" option.
Description of Work: Had new storm windows installed over original wooden windows.

John was easy to work with - he helped me understand my insulation options, coordinated with our auditor to make sure he got all the right spots, and worked with me to understand and process the available rebates. He provided us with a comprehensive and detailed quote with a price that was in line with the others we received. His team was very professional and neat and the work was in line with my expectations. The home energy savings was immediately apparent in our bills. It was probably the most painless house project I've ever done.
Description of Work: We contacted John following an energy audit that showed our house had almost no insulation left. His team insulated our walls with cellulose and used foam to insulate our attic and tighten up our basement.

I really liked Rick from the moment we met, he was professional, informative and clearly cared about solving my problems. He was never pushy and did not try to get me to go with a more expensive solution. He laid out my options and gave me advice. When I hjad questions or concerns, he was responsive and made it clear he cared about making sure I was happy. I would use them again and would recommend and have already given his name to some people I know.
Description of Work: I have had issues with ice dams and poor insulation and ventilation in my attic for years. I called Rogers (and a few other companies) to get advice on how to fix this. Decided in the end based on all the advice to go with spray foam, and I picked Rogers to do the work. Work has been completed - all seems well. Hopefully this fixes my problems.

I chose them because they seemed quite knowledgible about where each product is best suited, along with how to avoid condensation issues. I also had some customization done in one attic, which they performed adequately. I have 2 issues with their work: THey installed 'eaves protectors' (I don't know what they are technically called) to insure that when they blew in insulation in the attic, they would not cause Ice dam problems. I did get ice dams that year, but I had been told and I accepted that that step was not a guarantee. The next year I had ridge and soffet vents installed. If the eaves protectors had actually done their job, then the new vents would have allowed sufficient airflow to prevent the ice dams. I had bad dams anyway. I am not convinced that the eaves protectors were for anything but appearance. But I could be wrong here. The 2nd issue is that, when they blew in insulation into my walls from the outside, they did so by periodically slicing siding shingles, driling the holes, blowing in insulation, plugging the holes, and then reattaching the cut shingles. Each year since then, I have had one or 2 of the cut shingles fall off, requiring handiman repair before the water and insects get in. Their methodology of repairing the holes they create is, therefore, deeply flawed. Rather than face this issue again and again, I have just hired someone to go around the house and properly install and paint new shingles in place of all the cut ones. I would tentatively recommend them, with the caveat that they offer a different approach to repairing shingles, and take more care in protecting the eaves/soffet.

Work was done through the MassSave Energy program. The total cost was approximately $2600. They were very professional and courteous. They were able to complete the job in one day, but had estimated a day and a half in case they ran into problems. They did a nice job cleaning, keeping the floor boards in tact and explaining what they had done. The only negative was job scheduling. They failed to show up the day that we had originally scheduled to have the work performed. Although an explanation was not offered, they apologized and re-booked. Fortunately, this was not a significant hassle for us.

Rogers Insulation was great from start to finish. We had Rick come over to give us a quote on insulating our basement. He offered us several options and answered all of our questions. He provided a written estimate that afternoon. They did all the work in one day. They took care to cover the things in the basement so they wouldn't get dirty. They did a really nice job on both pieces of the project and left everything neat and tidy. They also coordinated the paperwork with Mass Save for an energy efficiency program. We are very pleased by the work they did for us.

Tired of our ice dams, we decided to get some quotes on insulation, in conjunction with a MassSave audit. We scheduled three contractors to come give us estimates, one of which was Rogers. The gentleman who stopped by seemed quite knowledgeable about insulation, but knew almost nothing about the MassSave program -- he said that the rules were changing constantly, but he would have his colleague get back to us with more details. We never heard from Rogers again; we were very happy with the contractor we did select.

I called for an estimate and the appointment was scheduled within three days. The MassSave program was reviewed at the time of the estimate. After approval from MassSave it took about three weeks before the work could be scheduled, but I was told that up front. The installation went smoothly from beginning to end, in less time than expected, and they insisted on cleaning up after the job. They conducted a test before and after the insulation was put in to measure the change in draft, which significantly declined.
Description of Work: The crawl space between the third floor ceiling and roof, and the knee walls were insulated. The company assisted with obtaining the MassSave rebate with submission of necessary paper work and providing me with a detailed explanation about how the MassSave program works.

In May, I started some work on my house and opened up a couple of areas to find that we had virtually no insulation in the walls. All we had was this silver backed paper that was used for insulation in the 60's when my house was built. Since the house was being opened up for the new siding I figured now was the time to see if we could insulate. I called Roger's and Richard, the owner, actually came out to my house to give me a quote. He was the 3rd company I had called and the only one that spent time with me explaining how they would blow in the insulation and why it would work properly. (Years ago another insulation company told me that the foil backed paper would stop the insulation from properly filling the cavities.) Richard also told me that my best bet would be to utilize his people for a full day which would cost me about $1700. At the time when he came out to the house we had the siding off on the front of the house, but planned to reside the rest of the house over the next 6 months to a year. (we were doing some construction along with the siding) BTW, a full day for his people amounted to being able to insulate 3/4 of the house. Their quote for doing 3/4 of the house was only $400 more than another company that quoted on doing just the front of the house which was about 1/4 of the house. As we were walking around the house looking at what would be covered I asked about any rebate programs that might exist. Richard told me about the Mass Save program that offers a rebate of up to $2000 to insulate the "whole house". He explained the whole program to me in detail and specified that they could do the work. He gave me the telephone numbers for Mass Save and even contacted them himself on my behalf. Ultimately I ended up going through Mass Save and had asked them to subcontract the job to Roger's Insulation. Richard was instrumental in helping me get through the program quickly and ensuring that I could get the job completed by his company. The whole energy audit program called for the "air-sealing" of the attic and foundation, and wall insulation of the whole house with a total cost of about $2900. Of course thanks to Roger's I was entitled to the $2000 rebate which meant my final cost was only $900. So... I got my whole house insulated and sealed for almost half of what I was going to pay for only part of the house. I really felt like Roger's went the extra yard to help me save some money and get the job done right.
Description of Work: Rogers Insulation came to my home and performed a "whole-house" insulation. They blew insulation into all of the exterior wall cavities and used a air sealing technique in the attic and in all areas of the house around the foundation where are leakage occurs. They even blew insulation into the interior wall of my 3 season porch that is attached to the house.
