Rogers Insulation Specialists

Roger's came to do the insulation for our entire house via the Mass Save program. They were excellent! They spent three days on the job in the dead of winter and blew insulation in all the exterior walls plus laid insulation in the entire attic. They were prompt and explained everything to us and cleaned up after their work. They did a wonderful job! We have already recommended them to a neighbor who is doing insulation work. The best!

Rogers rep Frank was prompt and helpful during the initial estimation phase. He answered our questions thoughtfully and provided options to be comparable with two other bids we received. He also helped us understand some of the shortcomings of our prior spray foam insulation - areas where the prior installers sprayed too much in one pass. They showed up in the morning, as promised and spent about 1-2 hrs doing prep work. They crew leader (paul?) walked the attic with me and we went over the scope of the work. We were out of the house and did not return until Paul called us back. They initially had told me it wasn't going to be a full day, but it turned out to be so - there were a lot of intricate areas that they wanted to be sure they would get right. Upon coming home - I noticed that all the windows were in good shape and so can infer they were well protected. The tub looked ok, but I had covered it up with plywood and cardboard anyways. They duct-taped the exposed edges. They also duct taped the a/c registers and all of the electrical outlets. In one or two places I noticed that they pushed the staples out of the electrical cables and ended up with hanging electrical cables in the ceiing - no big deal to me. There was a little film on the stairs leading up to the attic. The work looks professional and the building inspector thought they did a thorough job. Frank also made sure we were ready for the inspector and throughout the process provided the product information and certificates when asked.

Zach and Kenny did an absolutely wonderful job. They were extremely punctual, respectful of our home, friendly, and they gave the puppy some love. They explained everything that they were doing and they were very professional. They took extra time when they needed to make sure that things were done right and they were a pleasure to work with. The drafts we had have already subsided and I can tell that the heat is staying in the house better. I would bring Rogers back in a heartbeat!

We are extremely satisfied. The crew showed up on time and worked all weekend to finish the job. They encountered a few unforeseen problems along the way. They had equipment failures so the job took longer than expected. Plus we lost power the last day of the job but they worked until almost 9pm using a small generator to provide light until the job was finished. They apologized for any mess that was left but were unable to clean up because there was no light or power when they finished. We plan to hire Rogers again for another project in our garage and wished we had hired these guys when we first bought the house rather than using Quality Insulation which doesn't seem to understand the business their in. Rogers made getting a quote easy and the entire job easy on the customer.

Wonderful! We selected Roger's based on their Angie's List reviews as our contractor for our Mass Save energy program work. They were wonderful. The first work that as done was the wall insulation. The office was very communicative, flexible and friendly when scheduling the work. The original plan was to have the insulation and attic work done via a four day appointment. The team started right on time, as scheduled, with the wall insulation. As I have a brick house with plaster walls, this was all done internally and was messy! So brfore the job was started, one of the crew walked me through how things would proceed today, what they would need to do and what steps they would take to mitigate the dust/cleanup. They were very good about laying down floor pads, vacuuming, and even swiffering. A calculation error (by third party) was noted and explained to me, and I was given the option to add it on, with a written estimate, that day. I was very impressed how thorough and polite the crew members were. This work was done during the heatwave in July 2013 in MA, so the scheduler called to inform me that they could not send the crew to do the attic work given the extremem temperatures. They were wonderful, gave me all options of when the work could be rescheduled, and were very considerate of my time. I was given the option of waiting for the same crew to free up, or the next available. There was only a week delay, but because of vacation time, I went with the next available (basically 2 days later). They were just as professional and thorough as the first crew. Given the work was being done through a Mass Save program, and financed through a HEAT Loan, I couldn't pay as easily as just writing a personal check. The office staff was very well experienced with the programs, and was very helpful and patient in coordinating the payments via the programs. I am really pleased with the crew's work and professionalism of the office staff. A+!!

It was not very good. We had a bad experience. The price was very good and very competitive. He came back and we signed everything, and we gave a deposit. He came back with his structural person and said a lot more work would be included and it's going to cost about 30% more. This was after we signed. That was our big issue so in the end, we never had the work done. He seemed to have all these funny tactics where he's trying to work with us. He said he made mistakes and he'll make it right, but he never did. We had a bad experience about him not keeping his word. His punctuality and responsiveness were reasonable. I don't know why it took him so long to figure out that it's going to cost more money from that perspective, and he has been in business for so long, and has been doing this for years and years like "I've done so many of these and I know what I'm doing." That was really the case, he didn't know where he lay. For the punctuality standpoint, I was like I could have probably gotten that for the timing which was earlier. What I would warn a perspective person who is considering using them is to do their homework and just figure out what they really need. Everything he said to try to make it up to us like, "We'll try something else to make it affordable", but every other option just seems like to be way more expensive. It was no good. It was as if he didn't want to try to make it work with us, but we did get a refund.

Everyone was professional, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The employees did a nice job and placed plastic within the work areas in addition to adding more tape around the door trim and the window ledge where their plastic hose would be coming in contact with the wood. They cleaned up the work area and answered any questions we had as well. They had to come back to add a little more spray foam under the crawl space along the plastic barrier on the ground. There was only about two feet of space that was missed along its perimeter. We were able to apply discounts for the attic through the mass save program, and got a 25.00 gift card for the gas station to use. The crawl space price of 1500.00 did not have any mass save discounts, because of using spray foam here. We did get a free plastic vapor barrier in this area though. Thank You.

They were very professional, on time, neat, and thorough. We had to have them come back to refit a pipe leading to the outside from a shower fan. Otherwise, all was good.

It is sort of a long, multi-month project. They were upfront and honest when I asked them questions. They also were very communicative, professional and treated me well as a customer.

The crew arrived on time, discussed the work to be done in detail with a walk around to show me the specifics and how much time it would take. The crew was professional and courteous. They were meticulous and left our home spotless when they were done. I would recommend them without hesitation.

From start to finish the project went great. We called Rogers Insulation to receive an estimate to re-side our house and Terry met with us within 1 week of the call. Terry reviewed all vinyl siding options and provided details of the entire installation process. The installers (Jim and Mike) were very professional and detail oriented. The job was completed within approximately 10 days. Jim and Mike also did a outstanding job cleaning up afterward. Approximately 4 weeks after the job was completed, we experienced a minor issue with the exterior dryer vent. We notified Terry and within 24 hours Jim was at our house to fix the problem. Their quick response to the issue was very much appreciated.

After a mistake of not showing for an appointment , Rogers immediately rectified the issue. They came out promptly, apologized, gave detailed estimates, and did the job in a timely manner. The crew who did yhe work were pleasant enough, they did a good job.

After installing central air we needed the attic re-insulated. The current insulation was minimal from the original build of the home in the early '60s. The job was to blow in cellulose. They set me up with the MassSave program and I ended up with a significant rebate. The work was scheduled and finished on time and all expectations were met. We are very happy with Rogers and would recommend them.

John came out to do an assessment and provide a quote for insulating a crawl space underneath our kitchen. He was extremely generous with his time and expertise. I had him look at a couple of other things while he was here (windows and attic) and he was very courteous and kind about it. He recommended foam insulation for our underfloor, and gave very useful detail and information about what would and wouldn't work in that space, and why. He even gave me some tips on how we might take care of the space ourselves, if we chose not to go ahead with the foam, which is quite expensive. He was a gentleman and a professional, and although we did not end up using them (more than we want to spend at this time) I would not hesitate to recommend if you are looking for a company that really knows their stuff, and are very customer oriented.

John Taglienti came out for my initial assessment one morning, and took his time to answer all of my questions, and went through all the works they will be performing on the job day. On the actual job day two men crew came out for the job. Nick was the crew chief. He was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond from what he is required to do. He was also able to answer all of my questions and concerns during the job. Overall the work lasted two full days. I inspected the work afterward and was very satisfied with the result. They sealed places I would never have thought of doing myself, added plenty of attic insulation to help me stay warm in the winter. Rogers is highly recommended!

It didnt go, becuase they never got back to me.

High pressure sales tactics followed by sending pricing for someone else's job via email. When I emailed back to let him know of the mistake, he acknowledged but then never sent us our paperwork and never followed up. The ballpark prices he gave us verbally seemed steep, but I'm no expert. Rogers may be a good company for all I know. But the salesman was such a turn off that I doubt I'll ever find out.

No show for the agreed upon appt, I was ready to hire them too. Whatever.

The company was responsive and is familiar with the Mass Save rebate program. The staff are consciencious and professional, all questions were answered promptly. The installation was done on-time nad the technicians cleaned up after they compelted the work. I would use them again.

The crew did a terrific job! I couldn't be more pleased with their professionalism and expertise!

UPDATED - 9/1/2014: I've decided to add additional notes after finding issues some time later with the work that had been done previously which left me with a sour taste towards the whole thing... The backstory is that I decided to replace some of the batt insulation myself around the foundation in my basement since it had been there for quite a while and was pretty dirty and compressed. In doing so I got to see all the air sealing work that had been done. What I found was a large section of the foundation had not been air sealed at all. And it's going to take some time to come out to fix it. There's no rush for Rogers, the payment was made long ago. I schedule another appointment, and some time later they come out to 'fix' it. That's where it ends right? Wrong. They left another huge gap in the section they were supposed to fix. I guess this time its my fault that I wasn't standing over them making sure it was actually done properly - aren't they the professionals? I ended up at Home Depot to buy a couple cans of spray foam to take care of the work myself. I was pretty disappointed that this is how it all went down. ORIGINAL POST - 7/2013: I scheduled Rogers Insulation to come do air sealing and blown insulation based on an energy audit I received from the MA Save program. I had initially scheduled Rogers to come do the work earlier in the year but the experience did not start off well. The guys arrived about 45 minutes late, which I was willing to ignore because everybody gets stuck in traffic now and then. Then upon doing a check around the house they determined that I had knob and tube wiring in the house. After sending photos back and forth to the group (CSG) that runs MA Save, Rogers employees decided that it was unsafe to continue (or start) any work on the premises. In order to continue I'd need to get signoff from a licensed electrician that knob and tube wiring was NOT present, even though CSG told them it was safe to proceed. At this point I was very frustrated and now I had to get an electrician to the house. After I was able to get signoff from an electrician that there was no knob and tube, or anything close to it, I was able to reschedule Rogers. The second time around was much smoother than the first. The guys that came to do the work this time around were very careful and took pride in what they were doing. They also had good things to say about their employer. The work was completed on time and they kept everything clean and were always courteous. I can't necessarily comment on how well the insulation is keeping the temperatures in the house since we recently bought it, but I can say, that at the very least it has worked as an excellent sound proof. Overall it was a good experience. I was initially frustrated at the circumstance especially because no knob and tube was found by the electrician nor the CSG guys. The second team that came to the house definitely saved the experience for me and my wife and saved me from having to write a negative or mediocre review.

The project went great. The team members that did the work were punctual, pleasant, courteous and very neat. They accomplished the whole thing in 2 days. The only thing I would have wished differently was that the appt could have been booked a little sooner, but that's understandable because it was a 2-day job and these folks must be busy. The quality of the work was excellent, and I would strongly recommend this company to anyone who needs this kind of work! Re: the cost - I provide the approx cost of the project based on all the items on the work list. However, because of the energy incentive program I qualified for, my out of pocket expense was fortunately less.

I ended up not using them because I thought one of the competitors offered a more competitive price. They seemed to be absolutely professional and they seemed to know their business. They were pretty responsive.

Rogers was great. Terry Holness of Rogers was great to work with. There was never any pressure to make a decision right then and there like some of those big window companies. Terry was very responsive during all aspects of the project. When it came down to installation, Brian is the best. He showed up on a Monday and the job was completed within 6 hours. A nasty thunderstorm came through during the installation -- Brian and his assistant still continued to install the windows while getting drenched. What was so impressive was after they were done with the job, they were sweeping my house inside and out while completely soaked. Oh BTW they did a great job installing the windows and replacing some rotted wood. Post installation, Terry came by to inspect the work, which I thought was a nice touch (and to collect the remaining balance). I did show Terry one minor issue with one of the window's. Brian was at my house a few day's later to fix the issue. I would HIGHLY recommend Rogers Insulation. They are competitively priced, sell a really nice brand of windows (Seaway), did an excellent job with the installation and pride themselves on customer service. Rogers will certainly be our top choice for future projects.

They were absolutely on time, very polite and professional; it was a very messy job and they cleaned up after themselves beautifully; they left the space looking wonderful and they just did a really nice job!
