Protect Painters - Framingham

The work was excellent. I had three bids on the work. $7,000 from Sean, $10,000 and $13,000 from other painters. The original estimate was for $7,000 but significant wood rot on the window frames increased the final cost to $8,000. I signed with Sean one month before my son's high school graduation and a huge outside party. He guaranteed he could finish the work on time. Then the entire next week was torrential rains. He doubled the crew once the rain stopped to ensure we were done on time. Sure enough, two days before my son's graduation party we had a beautifully repainted house. Sean had also done several and quot;testand quot; paintings on a small area of the side of the house, a window frame and shutters to ensure my wife was satisfied with the colors. I have already recommended Sean to my neighbors and I will use him when we need to paint the interior.

Sean Beatty, the owner, gave us a written quote and reviewed the work his guys would do. We had three contractors give us quotes. Sean was in the middle. The cheapest (who wasn't that much cheaper clearly was going to use college students or day workers) . Sean's quote was very clear and precise. He had a contact that did alittle carpentry that was needed prior to painting who was great. He works with crews of guys he knows who were very nice, cleaned up after each day and very professional. Clearly not just day workers or college students. The house exterior looks wonderful. Originally Sean was just doing the exterior for us but that we decided to redo the family room that had wall paper that had not been put up correctly. Because of this they did extension wall repair. The room looks great. I would highly recommend Sean.

Sean came out and spent a lot of time to explain the process and the way it should be done for maximal protection of the painted surface. He was here 1 hour describing the pluses and minuses of different ways to do the job. Also found some other problems that he pointed out that I should take care of (not work he does) to help protect the exterior. Very professional and personable. He told me the approximate time frame of when the job would be done. Since this was a small job, they would fit it in when one of his crews was painting a house in the area. The time estimate was very close. He brought by some painted samples to match our gutters. His crew was out three times, first to clean the soffits, then to prime the soffits and then to paint. The work was done very well. Would hire again!
