Pheasant Hill Landscape

I called George at Pheasant Hill Landscape back in March to schedule an appointment for a lawn assessment. He said it would be best to do after most of the snow had melted and promised me a call back in a couple weeks. True to his word, George gave me a call when the last mounds of snow were melting and was very accomodative of my crazy schedule. He arrived ontime and gave me a thorough overview of what he thought it would take to revive my 90% crabgrass lawn. He admitted that it would be an expensive project and that the best chances of success would be starting in the fall. He spent almost 30 minutes with me despite knowing that he probably wouldn't see a dime until the fall, and I really appreciated that. I plan to give George and his team a call back this fall to scope out a full lawn restoration.

It went great. They were prompt. They worked around my schedule. Their price is fair. They were very responsive. For the service they did, it was a right price.

I called Pheasant Hill because of the good reviews on Angie's List. However, it turns out that they don't provide routine maintenance to my area. I'm only one town over, but I guess since I'm at the far end of Natick and they're at the other end of Framingham (which is more than 9 miles) it's too much travel. I would definitely call them again for other services, given their quick response and reputation

now it is in very good state for the next couple of seasons.

They were very good and experienced. Dean, who is one of the owners, came and designed the actual landscape itself. Then he coordinated his workers to come in and do it. They cleaned up after themselves; we didn’t even know they were there. They were fast. Overall, he did a good job. That's why we had him come back in the fall to aerate. The overall landscaping itself was about $8000, which included the designing, installing, and purchasing the new trees and shrubs. I think the price was comparable because we had several bids. I am having him come back in the spring to do more. Some of the plants died. He came back and put them in for free. Even now when I told him that I would like him to come back in the spring; he said that even he wanted to come back free of charge and do a few things because he didn’t like the way the plants grew, which was really nice. Most people would have said that they don’t like the way the plants grew but they are alive, so they are not coming back. I like this company a lot.

My wife and I engaged the people at Pheasant Hill after having used another service for more than 5 years. We found them much more communicative and true to their word. We've found OTHER lawn care/landscapers to invariably be more focused on up-selling new services rather than taking care of the initial services they've been hired to perform. Usually with predictable results; higher costs and lower quality. This has NOT been the case with Pheasant Hill Landscape! So far the service we've received from them has been great. I would suggest you give them a try if you're not happy with your current Lawn Care service.

I have known them for a long time and they're fine. They do several house more thoroughly in the neighborhood. They do their mowing and bush trimming and I have them come and do the big stuff mainly and I take care of the mowing and whatever but they're good. They're dependable and fairly reasonable. I have about six Montgomery Junipers that are close to 15 to 17 feet and I used to prune those. They need to be cut like a hedge vertically not horizontally. They grow very tall and slim and they're too tall for me to do them for the last five or six years so they have been doing that and they're very, very flexible. They replaced my patio strips in the back. When my house was built the patio had a framing of some type of wood, pressure treated wood and there was a square in the center. It's a concrete but it has pebbles in the concrete. So, they came up with a very good solution of putting cobalt stones around to replace the edging with the wood because it was rooting. I even had an ant nest in bottom of one of them. They also did some decorative paving stones that were used in the center section around the edged and it came out very well. They've always been very responsive. When I call I generally hear back or may not hear back that same day but in the next two days or so I will. They cleaned up after themselves very well because they make a mess with the Montgomery Junipers. There is clippings all over the place and then the gutter but they clean it all up. They have done this for me for probably five years and they have a good trimmer. They certainly did a good job. They had a lot of digging to do when they worked on the patio two years ago.

Didn't respond to request for information about snow plowing.

We are pretty happy with the service from PHL. PHL helped us did the spring cleanup, fertilization and treatment for the lawn. We have decided to PHL for our fall cleanup, too. George is very professional and responsive. He answered questions/emails quickly and offer us valuable suggestions -- which are extermemly helpful especially because we had little experience in maintaining big lawn before. The price is reasonable. We compared several service providers before choosing PHL and given the quality and the amount of work PHL have done for us. We think we made a very good choice.

I wish all the vendors we use were as professional as PHL. They respond to emails and phone calls promptly. They always do a great job and have been willing to work with us so that services are delivered in a time frame that doesn't bust the bank. I recommend them highly.

We had a yearly contract and he has regenerated the lawn.

I'd been putting this work off for a while but finally got around to getting a few estimates this spring. I got a few estimates and ultimately decided to go with Dean and Pheasant Hill Landscaping. I found Dean to be very helpful as I am not knowledgeable in this area and didn't have specifics in mind (beyond just wanting it to look better). I'm very happy and I'd highly recommend.

Good discussion and recommendations from George. He fixed our initial problem. We hope do more work this year.

They were very helpful in indicating what needed to be done to get the lawn looking good again after a two years of another fertilizer firm not helping the lawn. Pheasant Hill came as scheduled and did a great job. The bare spots are already filling in and the rest of the lawn they treated is also looking healthy. They still need to lime and said they would be back to do it in October. They did more than the original request because I asked them to treat an additional area not in the original request. They handled and kept to the original estimate.

The lawn was mowed every other week. The workers that came to the house were pleasant. I have two dogs and asked them to be careful to close the gates when they left and am pleased to say that they always made sure to close all gates. The yard cleanup so so, sometimes I cleaned up left over branches but to be fair the branches might have fallen after the workers were there. The mulching around bushes looked good, however, they did mulch on one side of the yard and stopped after about 2/3 of the way through, not sure why and never finished it. I would probably have continued to use them for mowing but my husband who is now semiretired decided he would mow as he now has more free time.

So far, all services performed have been great. Communication and follow up from Pheasant Hill has been above average and the quality of their services is exceptional. We have had the spring clean up, seeding and mowing done so far and are just waiting on the mulch and trimmings of the bushes and trees. George and Dean from Pheasant Hill are great to work with.

My contact at Pheasant Hill Landscape was George. I found his company on Angie's List and he was local to my area so I thought I'd give them a try. I found George to be super helpful. In our initial conversation, I asked him to provide an estimate for core aeration. Before booking the service, he wanted to come and look at my lawn to see if it would benefit from the aeration. After seeing it, he determined that it would. Even though it was a small job, George took the time to explain the process to me and was very patient with my novice questions. I will definitely use him again and recommend him to others who are in need of lawn services.

As I said I have been using PH Landscape for years. My grass is always green. As for snow removal, they come as needed for 3 or more inches..leaving driveway and walkway from the door in good condition.Dean is very helpful in deciding what needs doing. His workers are friendly and efficient.

As always, everything was done on time and to our satisfaction. People were courteous and professional. Lawn looked immaculate when they were finshed. Very happy with their work.

He has been my landscaper for several years. He has done designs, built beds, mowing, fertilizing, pest control, and seeding. He also rebuilt my patio and front walk. He is knowledgable of what is appropriate of what will work and what wont in the landscape design. I have been very happy with his services.

They are honest, straight-forward, and do the job as promised.

Dean, the owner, is very knowledgeable and pleasant. The gentleman who performed the trimming did an excellent job as well.

Very pleasant, really worked hard, shovel driveway, they do lawn treatment, they do everything that needs to be done, if we call for some reason the call back quickly.
