Bob responded quickly and was able to quickly find time to work on these project. The A/C hose routing was complicated, but Bob came up with a good solution. I would recommend him for any one that needs a range of projects done.

Firstly, I was impressed with Bob's meticulous planning, the fruits of was were a solidly constructed platform for the stacking of a washer and dryer. This wasn't an easy project due to the various complications in the small space, but he had plenty of ideas to overcome those obstacles. Furthermore, Bob is keen to ensure that the finished product matches a client's expectations. Lastly, he keeps in contact to let you know arrival times, etc., which is super helpful.

Bob and I corresponded by E-mail and coordinated a block of time that he could come over to do several projects for us and he gave us an estimate of time and cost. Bob did work for us a year ago when we remodeled our bathroom so this was the second time we used him. He did an amazing job on our bathroom so we were quite confident that would be the case the second time around. Bob did not disappoint, he does a meticulous job! When we need work done on the house we always call Bob @ Phalan Construction. My husband and I are very picky about the quality of work and Bob has always done a top knotch job. The most recent project was the re-tiling of a small second bathroom. The floor was very uneven which caused the toilet to leak. Bob completely gutted the bathroom floor and started over making it a new level surface. The tile came out great and he reinstalled the toilet which now does not leak or run! In addition, while there, we decided to have Bob replace some interior doors that were in rough shape and paint them. Again, did a great job. AND, we also had Bob install a tile blacksplash in our kitchen. The great thing about having Bob do the work is that he can do everything, we don't need to have multiple contractors, just one person that we can count on.

Extremely professional and did a superb job. He was clear in what he was going to do, what the price was, and how long it would take.

Bob Phalan was fantastic. He was incredibly responsive , professional and very reasonably priced. He actually did the job the same day to get in ahead of a major storm! We are very impressed and very greatfull.

I had just moved here, to a house that needs a lot of work. Bob Phalan was thorough, skilled, and effective. For the initial assessment, he found that the frame around the basement door had been ajar for years, which was one reason it leaked air so badly. He replaced the entire frame, as well as the door. It's beautiful now. For the window, he put in an energy-efficient Harvey replacement with a lot more glass, so the basement isn't as dark. He worked around a thicket of electrical cables and plumbing, which limited his access, but the results look great. As a result, the basement is five degrees warmer now. The first-floor rooms are warmer, too, because there are several places (fireplace, plumbing) where the basement air leaks upstairs. I'll get to those soon... He's not the cheapest guy out there, but he's very, very good. Plus, he didn't waste my time, or his.

Bob is top notch in every way. He is so dependable and communicates well - responding to my inquiry, texting to let me know when he might come, giving me updates, and arriving and staying with the job to finish it well after dark fell. I trust him -- he's fair, he is a hard worker, and I am so grateful for his good work! His price is fair - and he works fast and gets things done!

Bob was responsive and patient since when I initially contacted him. He answered all the questions I had and gave a pretty accurate estimate. On the day the job was done, Bob was punctual and efficient. I was late to meet him due to traffic and Bob communicated with me regarding the progress of the project. He did a great job for the repairing. During the whole process, I feel he is trustworthy and professional. Definitely would hire again and highly recommend!

After the outstanding work Bob has done for my home, I was surprised to see some negative reviews for him. First, handymen/contractors are a dime-a-dozen, but finding good handymen can be very difficult. Therefore, good handymen will be in high demand. I emailed Bob for an estimate for the work that I wanted done to my home. I wasn't expecting a quick response; as it is stated on his website that he if he does not respond within a reasonable time, it is due to pre-scheduled work. Bob did email me back a couple days later and I was able to meet him at my house for an in-home estimate and felt comfortable with his professionalism and personality. As for his work, Bob went above and beyond to ensure the work was done right. There were unexpected issues with a bees nest found in the walls of my house. Bob went out of his way to make sure the bees were removed and to clean up at the end of the day. Not only was I very satisfied with the finished work, it was enjoyable to have Bob working on my home because it felt like a friend or family member doing the work. He is a great guy. As far as his prices; considering the quality of work and the work being done by an honest hardworking man such as Bob, I found his pricing to be very reasonable. He will definitely be the guy I go to for future projects in my home.

The appointment was at 9:00am. Bob called ahead to make sure we were up. He arrived on time. Work was performed quickly and to high standard. My wife and I are both very pleased with the results and the reasonable price.

Bob took care of what I needed, did a great job and cleaned up after the work. I would not hesitate to recommend his services. He is quick to respond to inquiries and stays in touch. Bob was willing to set up a time that was convenient for me which was difficult due to my busy summer schedule. He charges considerably more than I am accustomed to for handyman type work, even with an Angie's list discount, but that may be because I previously lived in another area. I do place a high value on responsiveness and reliability, and for more complex jobs you usually get what you pay for.

He's a godsend and priceless. Everything I needed to get done he will complete the task for me even with bigger projects. He will tackle almost everything! I'm pleased with his work and attitude. He's inexpensive, I expect to pay for the quality of work that I get. I'm perfectly satisfied with his services. This man is a treasure.

Its often hard to get someone to commit to doing small repair jobs. Almost everyone wants to deal with larger constructon projects. II'm happy that Bob responded to my requst to replace a powered roof vent. After a short delay in responding to my request which he did mention might happen in his auto-reply Email, Bob set up an appointment to do the work within a few days and was prompt in showing up to the job and finished in a reasonable time. Very nice guy that does quality work. I would not hesitate to call him again

Bob does awesome work. Not only was he able to repair and paint my living room ceiling, but he touched up another area and installed new smoke detectors. Bob is very meticulous about the work he does and everything comes out looking great. My wife and I always comment that Bob does the best work.
