ONYX MARBLE & GRANITE

After having a less than optimal experience with a different granite vendor last year, I was looking for a different local place to supply the granite for our bathroom remodel. When I found Onyx on Angie's list with its great reviews, I decided to try them out. They definitely did not disappoint! The staff at Onyx (particularly George, who I worked with the most) was extremely helpful and professional. They came out twice (I had the incorrect sink the first time) to perform the templating. Both times were outside of normal business hours to accommodate my schedule. I was very impressed and grateful for their flexibility! Even after some miscommunication regarding the pricing and dimensions of a few of the pieces, they were willing to go the extra mile to provide wonderful customer service. They went above and beyond to resolve any issues to make sure that I was completely satisfied with the final product. The next time any remodeling I do will require stone or granite, I would not hesitate to go back to Onyx. I will also be recommending them to family and friends!

Great Job! They showed up on time, polite and professional. I wish they would have done a better job using plastic or a vacuum for that fine dust but once I saw the finished product I forgot all about it!

Got a great deal on Angies List for 1499 for upto 40ft Granite installation. I added another 40 sq ft for full backsplash and center Island. I had to get this done during new year, they were professional and did an excellent work with the granite finishing. However when my handyman came for some work about three months later, he realized that the electrical fittings were not fitting well as the cutout was small. I called Onyx Marble, it was about three months after their work, they were so kind to schedule a free service to fix this (had to drill the oles right). Their overall finishing of the product is excellent and I would be happy to call them again in case of any future work.

To Whom it may Concern: In the first week of April, 2015, the kitchen sink that came FREE with the Corian countertop I had purchased from and installed by a well-known Department Store chain 6 years prior, developed a massive crack. Because I could not wait the necessary quoted week for an inspection by a certified installer from the Chain before removing to repair or replace the sink and did not wait for the official certified installer from the original chain to pass judgment on the damage, the warranty was voided. My mistake, yes, but how to proceed? No choice at this point. I went with a company that had been recommended to me by a friend of a friend, namely ONYX, out of Framingham MA. This became the most pleasant experience I could have hoped for. So ideal was my experience, I expanded the work well beyond the kitchen sink and its countertop. I visited the company, saw samples, made my selection- Quartz countertops, 3 in all, two in the kitchen, 1 in bathroom, new sinks for the two rooms. The choice was mine, with advice from Onyx people as to edges, sinks, backslashes. The next day, the measuring duo was at my condo and prepared templates. The price was extremely reasonable. The only question was delivery time. To my surprise, because the product was local, and ONYX would have it in its possession the next day, and begin the cutting, the installation would take place just a week after my first visit to the Company. What could be better. Nothing. I visited the 'cutting' area and watched the workers deal with the pieces of Quartz. The men arrived at my place at precisely the time they promised to install. They worked all day, just in time for the plumber to return and install the two sinks, and the job was done. With one minor problem. Embedded in the quartz, in a front and center place, was a 1/16 inch spot. I called Michele at ONYX. Next morning, two men arrived and artfully removed the blemish. Obviously my experience was one of complete satisfaction with ONYX. From owners and staff, people were professional, timely, conscientious and most helpful. Excellent experience overall. Helpful and friendly people at their showroom, and they gave us a GREAT price. They even threw in the sink for free, even though we were just a half a square foot short of the coupon deal for it. Installation was quick and came out great. They did nick up a cabinet and my floor in a couple of places, but I can't say it's unexpected, given that it took three men to carry a giant L-shaped slab weighing 18 lbs a square foot. But honestly, for that price, I can deal with a few nicks.

From the very first all of the staff were very helpful. They were able to come to my house within 1-2 weeks of my agreement. They would have come sooner but my schedule did not allow it. The first visit was for the template. I would not have thought that they have to make sure the granite can make it through the doorway of the house. One week after that the granite was installed. They installers were on time, polite, professional, and cleaned up afterwards. Also very strong and talented to get the granite into the house without a scratch on the door or walls. The granite looks great. I only wish I would have done this sooner. I would recommend this to any of my family or friends. One friend after seeing the granite is now thinking of doing his kitchen and using Angies List/Onxy Granite for his home.

Working with Onyx was a pleasure! I had heard a lot of horror stories about how some granite places were "shady", changing prices and not giving you the piece you inspected. Also, that granite installation had delayed kitchen renovations. Since our renovation was being done in February, during the snowiest winter on record, no less, I did not want any delays!! I carefully read the reviews on Angie's List and chose Onyx. In the end, all of my worries were for nothing! The process was easy and, dare I say? Fun! The staff was patient and helpful as I chose my pattern and inspected the piece of granite they had in stock. The price was amazing- a few hundred dollars less than Home Depot's estimate. The template date was scheduled, along with the installation date, a week later. However, when yet another a large snowstorm hit right before the template date, I thought, "This is the delay I was worried about! There was no way that they could be running on time." But, one call proved to me that they were working to the best of their ability to make up those who were missed during the storm while keeping to their schedule. Sure enough, the template was on schedule and installation took place the following week. Overall, the process went so smoothly, they were attentive to all the details, and now we have gorgeous counter tops! I called to let them know how pleased I was and they said how much that meant to them, as they are a family business in a competitive field. They said that customer satisfaction is their top priority, and I said that it showed.

It was a pleasure dealing with Onyx. The salesman /Owner (I think) Davidson was extremely skilled, personable and very professional. He guided me in my search for counter top granite pieces and the choice I made was perfect. His installers were very personable, trustworthy and extremely skilled at what they did. A crew of installers measured the space and within a few days , the job was done! I can not recommend this vendor more highly. I believe that these counters were one of the biggest selling points in the marketing of my condo. It was sold at the second showing...and the neighbors are now placing their orders! Fantastic. They arrived as promised- worked quickly and thoroughly and did not leave a speck of dust. Super attentive to detail and result is beautiful.

They were really good to work with and they did a wonderful job. We picked out a really good piece of granite and they cut it. My wife was out there when they cut it and they couldn’t have been nicer to her. They were very nice to work with and we tried to get them some additional business. They were obviously the wisest one that I’ve used. The crew was wonderful and they did a good job. They were responsive and communicated well over e-mail. They also followed up to make sure that we were happy.

They installed Kitchen counters in a timely manor, they were professional. I just had my hard wood floors refinished and they made sure to cover it and protected. I highly recommend them.

I don't have any complaints about the company. The deal just didn't work out for me for a few reasons. There were some extra charges, the color we liked was out of stock, and my sink wasn't ideal for the countertop.

I was looking for a quartz top of a particular color for a 48" vanity in a new bathroom. The color I wanted was hard to find, but available for $1600 or more through many suppliers. I spent some time with Jose at Onyx and he showed me "remnants" of quartz materials he had which would be close to the color I was after. He figured the installed estimate with the AL discount, and the price was definitely right. Template was done on March 2 and on March 9 installers appeared, and within half an hour had the top installed. Great service from a great supplier. I felt we received a top-quality product at a fine price. I'm very pleased.

I had an excellent experience Onyx Granite, and strongly recommend them to anyone considering new kitchen countertops. I visited 3 different companies, and Onyx had several great looking slabs of the granite we were looking for, Fantasy Brown. Of the 3 quotes I got, Onyx was tied with one other company, and significantly lower than another. My main contact at Onyx was Poliana, and she was fantastic. Very responsive to my many questions over email, and able to accomodate my very busy schedule at the time. After templating, I couldn't make it to the showroom to pick out what cuts to make, so she arranged the templates on the slab and emailed me pictures that my wife and I could review. My wife and I have been using our new kitchen for about 6 months now, and a couple things have popped up that we wish we had done differently - but the countertops are perfect! We're very happy with how they turned out.

I had some trouble finding a new cabinet for the peninsula I was adding. Onyx was very patient and so so pleasant! A wonderful company from the salesman, to the men that measured and installed to the secretary! A great experience!

It was a pleasure working with Onyx Marble & Granite to find and install our new granite countertops. The team was very responsive and easy to work with, we were able to evaluate a number of samples in our kitchen and pick the right one for us with no pressure. Then, when it came time for the install, the team was very prompt and professional while templating and installing the design. We couldn't be happier with our new countertops, they look fantastic!

They have been fantastic to work with so far. We needed more granite than what the deal stated and they let us upgrade to a different color without any issues

Davidson(owner) helped pick out granite that would best match the new tile floor & cabinet. He declined to tell pricing as he says his clients need to choose what they love best. (We ended up deciding between the lowest and highest cost pieces - but it was OUR choice!) Delivery & installation was exactly on time, clean, & efficient. Fabulous.

Onyx was amazing. Very helpful and professional during the planning phase. I picked a leathered granite they had on site. Their prices were the best around if you choose a granite they have on site. Obviously if they need to bring in a special order, it can be more expensive. They templated a week after I met with them and installed a week after that. They even helped my husband carry out the old large countertop that needed to be moved outside. The new countertops are beautiful and I can't even notice the one seam! Highly recommend and will be using them for our 2 bathroom remodels as well.

Onyx was good and responsive from the start. Very punctual. Michelle at the office was pleasant and answered all questions. Alex and the install guys came and did a template, and a week later our countertops were in. There was a slight issue when both the office and install guys forgot to ask/remind that I needed a plumber to do the sink install immediately following the countertops. They have a guy they usually use but he was booked and couldn't come at a moment's notice. I was able to scramble and find a plumber locally who finished the sink install but think I may have paid a premium for the fast service. Onyx was very gracious and knocked $100 off the final price (after I bickered a little bit) because I felt they should have verified I realized the plumbing was not included in the cost and that I had something lined up. I believe they usually do verify this and it slipped through this time. All in all, a pretty good experience, and I would recommend them based on cost, friendliness, quality of work and an obvious thorough knowledge of stone.

Good price and service. We would also have wanted them to install the brackets to support the countertops but they wouldn't do that inspite of extra payment. We ultimately had to get someone else install the brackets for us.
