I saw the ad on Angie's list and felt excited that we might actually be able to afford to get our kitchen finished. It is difficult to do anything on our house because of my multiple chemical sensitivity. I thought granite might be o.k. because it sounds natural. I called the company and discussed the requirements. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and honest, not trying to push me, just giving me straightforward answers. I felt concerned that the granite needed to be sealed because it is porous. I am also sensitive to mold, so I think something that doesn't need sealing and isn't porous would be better for me. I asked about other possibilities and was told that they also had quartz which was more expensive and more durable. I was invited to go to look at the granite and quartz in their show room. Before finding time to go there, I did a little more research and decided that granite is not the best choice for me. Some members of my Massachusetts Association for the Chemically Injured group (MACI) have recommended Corian. So I am trying to figure out what I can afford that will be right for me. We started renovating the kitchen in 2009. I am longing to get it done! Please help. Someone from the Onyx Marble and Granite company called me a few days ago, and I told her that we had decided not to do granite. I then called Angie's list to explain the situation. Thank you.

Everything went great from start to finish.I met with Jose and he helped me pick out the granite and then sent his tech out to template my counter tops. One week later they were back to install them. They came out beautiful and I would only use Onyx in the future.

Due to my sensitivity to chemicals and after researching granite and the sealing process, I decided granite is not for me. I felt they were very nice and honest.

I can't believe that I purchased the special deal 3 weeks ago and am now the happy owner of new kitchen counter! Every aspect of the work was impeccable - and quick! I had gone through the initial ordering process at home depot a few months ago, but hesitated at what I thought was too a high a price. I'm so glad I waited. I was contacted promptly by someone from the office, I had all my questions answered. There were no hidden fees (e.g. others charge more for an undermount sink than over mount). I asked for a quote to replace a fireplace hearth. I decided against it, and I felt no pressure at all about my decision. I really have the experience of the Onyx staff working as a team - I was helped by many different staff members in the office and at home - all were knowledgeable, professional and very pleasant. They also recommended an excellent plumbing company that disconnected and reconnected the sink, dishwasher and disposal, and completed other bathroom projects in between - they all worked very well together and made it more economical and convenient for me. I'm looking forward to using them for another project in the spring, Thanks, Onyx.

Onyx replaced our old kitchen countertop with new granite countertop and put in a new granite countertop on our bathroom vanity. Communication was excellent throughout the process. The sales staff were very helpful with ideas and suggestions when we were picking out the material. The installers showed up as promised for both the template work and the final install, and did a quality job. We are very pleased with the result and highly recommend them.

I took a leap of faith when I bought the big deal with Onyx Granite and Marble from Angie's list as it was a big ticket item. I am so glad that I did that! Everyone in the company was so great to work with, they are all super nice and professional. The lady who works in the office was very patient to explain the different options and tried to find ways to help me save money. The crew arrived on time, did the work professionally and the final result was amazing! We had a small issue with the cut, but they came back and fixed everything promptly. The price is very reasonable and you can go to their site to choose remnants for discounted price. My neighbor saw my new kitchen and was very impressed. She wanted to get the deal as well. I highly recommend using Onyx Marble for your home remodeling.

To start off Onyx beats the entire Metrowest competition on remnant prices - add in the Angies List discount and you are already ahead. The team is very cordial and polite and never rushed us during multiple trips including pulling remnanats out of the rain into the shop so that we could look at them peacefully. Jose was awesome to work with - took about 2 months from start of search to install due to problems on our end with the old brick work. Installation crew was respectful and cleaned up after themselves. There was an issue with one granite piece so it went back to the shop for a re-cut and polish. Communicated well and came back the same day to finish the job.

Call Onyx and got an appointment with Mara to go over what we were looking for. She was great. Chose counters and took appointment. 1 week later for templates. 1 week after for installation and 2 days after that for backsplash. Everything went the way we were told. Counters are beautiful.

We visited the display room on Monday to get a price for counter tops. I had measured the counters so we could get a price. Mara showed us various materials and gave us a price for granite. We went out in the yard to look at samples and found a much cheaper granite then we had priced. Mara gave us a new price and we excepted it. We didn't even go to another company for a quote. We were happy with this price. On Wednesday morning, three men arrived and measured the counter tops and made a template for the sink area. The following Monday afternoon, the men were back with the new countertops. They tore out the old and installed the new. Also installed the under the counter sink. Within 2 hours our kitchen looked like new. They did a wonderful job. They were very punctual and Mara was very professional. She called us a few days after the installation to see how we liked the installation and if we had any questions. I would highly recommend them.

Helped us select granite for countertops and breakfast bar. Mara was wonderful to work with, the process was fast and painless. We are very pleased with the company and their work.

Naturally, these things happen at the most inconvenient time. We had guests coming over for a holiday and the kitchen is unusable as the sink got separated from the countertop. The folks at the office worked to find an opening and were able to schedule us for the same day, after hours! The guys came on time, were very courteous and completed the work and cleanup efficiently and professionally. Great experience overall. Wish all contractor would work that way.

The kitchen island is very large, with a seating area; the countertop areas are pretty large too. They installed our sink and faucet. The hookup was done by a plumber the next day. The cutout for the cooktop / downdraft vent system required a return visit. The owner and an assistant came after-hours to do this because the electrician and installer were due the next morning. We appreciated this very much, and the install could proceed as scheduled the nexst day. Onyx did excellent work, cleaned up the mess, were careful with the dust by vacuuming while cutting. They sealed the granite countertops after installation. All in all, a very well done job. We purchased the sink from Onyx. They gave us a credit for $150 toward the price because we bought it there. We also got a return-customer discount. Mara (in the office) was particularly helpful, especially with the granite selection process. We are very pleased with the company and the installation process. No complaints whatsoever.

Phone staff was very courteous handling the appointments. Arrived on time as per appointment. Did job very well, setup well and cleaned neatly after drilling hole.

Everyone at Onyx was a pleasure to deal with. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy with the granite that we pick out. The installers were friendly and did a great job. I would highly recommend Onyx to family and friends.

They took so much time to help me work through the process. They helped me select the material that would be best for the application. They had reasonable and low cost solutions. Their selection of stones were very good. David and Michelle were the two people that I dealt with and were fantastic. I was very impressed with all of them. They also had a great show room and gave me different price options for different stones.

We visited Onyx on the recommendation of my Kitchen contractor. We arrived and met with Jose. Jose very patiently gave us a brief education about the different types of granite and the options that we had to choose from. He allowed us to wander through the show room and the outdoor slabs of granite as long as we wanted without any pressure. He checked on us regularly to make sure we were OK and answered any questions we had. We left without making a decision as we were not yet sure of which granite we wanted. We came back 3 weeks later. Jose remembered us and greeted us as warmly the second time as he did the first time. He helped us reach our decision, again with no pressure. His associate who came to prepare the template was very polite and neat. He explained what he was doing and asked any necessary questions. The installers were very professional. They were careful and neat and they need a perfect job. They returned a couple of days later to install the backsplash. End of story. Selecting Onyx was a great decision and I would use them again without hesitation. Thanks Jose and co.

GREAT job, my kitchen does looks much better, the Granite countertop did make a BIG different in my kitchen. I am very happy!!!

They had a great selection and we were able to match marble with some pre-existing fixtures. Excellent, organized service with precise dates/and times for doing the template and the installation. They showed up as planned and checked all the details with us in terms of the finish, edge design, etc. Excellent quality work with great selection and prices.

Went very well everyone we came in contact with was very nice and very helpful there was one little bump at the end and they are very ancsous to come out and make it right

Perfect.. Great customer services, very fast professional installation. After template, I was able to get my granite in less than 24 hours. Would definitely use them again on my next renovation project.

After getting information, costs and visiting a few other local companies that sell/install counter tops we came across Onyx Marble and Granite through Angie's List which we recently signed up. We decided to go there and thank god we did. The owner met with us and made us feel extremely comfortable. He gave us a very detailed cost estimate and showed us around the facility. The showroom was on the second floor and I had a newborn sleeping baby with us and the office manager (i think it was the owner's wife) offered to watch her while we looked at slabs or granite outside in the cold. It was nice to know that the people that are employed there are the ones that fabricate and install it unlike some other places that hire 3rd party's. We felt like we mattered and that they cared even if we had a small project on a even smaller budget and they helped us through that so we could have the granite counters that we wanted. If I ever had another kitchen to remodel I would go back to them in a second and recommend them to anyone. A lot better priced that the big box stores.

I was nervous handling a large renovation like this but Onyx made it easy. The salesman helped me through what decisions I had to make and what the choices were. Unlike some granite places, they have a large supply in stock so you can pick from what they have (a wide variety of granite, marble etc) and know that they will not be delayed by awaiting delivery of the material. He also had a good suggestion that saved me $300. The workmen came and measured everything accurately. On installation day they came on time and did a great job installing - looks fantastic. They were professional and polite and it looks great. Top rating these guys are great and I would use them again.

They did an excellent job. Were able to help reduce cost by offering remnants (which we were able to use in one spot). Prompt, courteous and very professional. Also worked very quickly and there were no unexpected issues. They told us every detail what they would do and they did it. What's great is they have their own shop where they process the granite. So they control the quality of the final cut. Not sure if other places do this.
