Ordered a vanity top from Lowes. Guy said it would take two weeks to come in. On the scheduled delivery date I called to see where it was. Was told that the vender did not even start production on it yet. After another 2 weeks and still no order I finally just canceled my order. We redid our bathroom and this was the only thing holding our project from completion. I will never order anything from lowes again.

It was a disaster. It started 2 years ago, and it extended to well over a year. To begin with, they had poor work ethics, they came only 4 hours a day, and were resentful about that. They did poor quality work, and the cabinets they ordered were the wrong size. They came in twice, and both were the wrong size. The finishing was bad, and we had somebody come just a couple of months ago, to redo the work that was poorly done. The price was more expensive than it should have been, given the quality of the work. The quality of the product was okay. They kept changing managers, and they would just drop the case every time we would call several months later. There would always be someone new in charge. It was a poor experience from start to the end.

It is the same as the other hardware store. The prices are good.

Delivered next day within promised delivery window and set it up with no problem. Delivery was professional and quick. Overall great experience and lowest price by $50!

Overall the project went well. There was a slight delay in finishing the job due to illness of the main installer. The installation looks good. Lowe's visited the house on the first day and has called about 4 times to check on the progress of the project.

In October of 2010, I ordered new lower cabinets for my kitchen as well as a counter top and pantry. The sales person I ordered the cabinets from was very pleasant and I was excited for the project to start. On the day the work was scheduled 2 workers were sent to my home and worked without any supervision. They tore out 3 shelves in my pantry that did not need to be removed and drywall damage occured. I had a very expensive butcher block on top of the temporary dishwasher I was using and they threw that away. They also threw away a special can opener that I have for my daughter who's fine motor skills are impaired. They removed wall boards in the kitchen which I use to hang pots and pans. When I inquired about having them put back up the said "too late now". They were also supposed to hook up a temorary sink for me to use while the work was taking place and they did not. I went from Nov-Jan, the entire holiday season, without water in my kitchen. I had to buy bottled water and/or bring water from my bathrooms to use in the kitchen. When they finally arrived with the cabinets they were the wrong size. They ended up installing a small, non-usable cabinet next to my stove to fill the space. There was a water leak that occurred once the sink was finally reconnected. I called Lowe's to tell them about this and they sent a plumber out. The plumber informed me that the sink had not been reconnected properly, and the cabinet would have to be replaced due to the water damage. Again, I had to wait for them to bring out another cabinet. It was May before they finally finished the project and came out to make repairs to my pantry. The experience was an absolute nightmare. I will never do business with them again, and would never reccomend them to anyone else

The machine was on sale at a very reasonable price, about $100 off the original--only about $310. The installation was more expensive than I'd expected, I think about $149, but in line with the price at Home Depot. It runs smoothly, and it does a fine job with the dishes. The saleswoman was knowledgeable and helpful--she provided information about the choices and then left it up to me to make up my mind. My only complaint is that it took about a week and a half to schedule the installation, but that involved accomodating my work schedule. They did give me a two-hour window for the appointment, and the installer was on time. I will definitely shop there again.

I would recommend Lowe's to everyone. They did a very good job. It took them about three days to get it done and the end result was great. I would hire them again in the future if I needed.

They gave us demos, described very well, charged us a good price and made it available for delivery immediately unlike other places where we need to wait for delivery. Lowes had the washer delivered to us very quickly. We really needed a washer as our old one was done with and they helped us in time.

Although we ordered the carpet and waited close to 4 weeks for it to be installed, Lowe's did not install the carpet because they discontinued the carpet that we had ordered. The biggest problem was that they did not call us to let us know that the carpet was discontinued. We had started calling for a status two weeks after we placed the order and each person we spoke with told us that the carpet was going to be available "any day now" and that we would get a call. Each day that would go by without a call, we would call them instead and got the same story. It wasn't until I asked to speak with a manager that someone really looked into it and told us that the carpet had been discontinued. After 4 weeks of waiting for carpet and no offer to make things better, we canceled the whole order and went with another company. Interestingly enough, I walked in Lowe's this past weekend, and the same carpet was still up on the floor as an option... no one could tell me if it was still *really* available. I wouldn't be surprised if other customers are continuing to order that same carpet even though it was discontinued.
