I couldn't be more happier with the work. Lourival and his crew arrived on time and completed the work early. The walkway looks 10X better than it did before and the price was significantly lower than the other quotes that I received. I forgot to ask for the Angie's list discount and he reminded me of it. He also put in a pipe under the walkway for water and electricity should I need to put in a sprinkler later on. Excellent work.

Made an appointment with this mason. He never showed, nor did he call us to let us know he wasn't going to make it. In fact we never heard from him again.

Everything went so smoothly. Lourival is a man of his word. If he tells you something, you can believe him. And his work is very high quality. I am so happy every time I walk to my car from my house! I should have done this sooner. I will be having him work on my driveway next year. And possibly a retaining wall in my yard too!

Lourival and his team did an outstanding job terracing our sloping yard and installing water management features, elegantly masked by gorgeous stone walls. Lourival listened carefully to our request and devised a plan that both suited our needs and met our budget. The team was unfailingly polite. They arrived promptly every morning, cleaned up at the end of every day, and finished on time and on budget. We are delighted with the results and have already recommended Lourival to others.

Lourival and his team did a beautiful job on every part of the project, but especially the stone veneer siding with the blue stone ledge. It was Lourival who suggested we add the ledge when I had him come out to discuss the siding job. The result matches the rest of the house perfectly (see photos). Lourival was always easy to deal with. He is really totally committed to making sure customers are completely happy. Nothing was a problem: when a small fence had to be moved to install the siding moved it (no extra charge), and reset it in cement so that it was actually more solid than before. When there was more tuck pointing than expected they did it (no extra charge). Lourival even cheerfully told me that the materials for the blue stone ledge were more than expected (naturally no change in the price). When a small piece of the tuck pointing they did came out a couple of months after the job, Lourival came out and fixed it. He seems to be very busy, and he did have to delay the start of our project by a week, at short notice. However he gave me a 10% break on the price for having to wait ! I think this shows this delay was unusual (how often could he afford to do this) and again demonstrates that he is determined to keep his customers happy.

Lourival and his team did a grat job refinishing our front steps. He recommnended just going over the exisiting steps rather than knocking down and starting over (saving us quite a bit of $$). After discussing the job they were at the house within a week and had the job done the same day. The steps look great and we couldnt be happier with the decision to hire Lourival for the work!!

Rough start to the job, but they made "good"

We didn?t get the work done by them due to budgetary constraints. We received different quotes from different companies. However we got a little bit of yard work done. They were okay and there was nothing in particular that stood out about them. The estimate was neither cheap nor expensive but the estimator was a really good individual. We really liked working with him. His responsiveness and punctuality were very good. If we decide to get the patio work done in the future, then we will definitely contact him.

Lourival and his team were a pleasure to work with. He was always available by both phone and email and usually showed up early to appointments. He provided well organized quotes and contracts in a timely fashion. We had a large amount of work that really needed to be done (our yard looked like a wasteland before he worked his magic), and he was happy to help us split it into several phases as our budget allowed. Our two main phases were in fall 2009 and spring 2010. Each time he started the work on the day he said he would and finished before his projected end date. He worked seamlessly with our landscape architect. I was very picky about certain details such as not disturbing our plants or trees, and he respected these wishes. Our yard is full of strange angles and grades, but he worked with these fluidly and created very natural looking stonework. We are always getting compliments on the work he did for us.

Lourival came for an estimate the same day I called. I liked him instantly. He explained in great detail what he would do and the materials necessary. I got several other quotes and his price was consistent with the others. Because I am extremely particular he insisted that we meet at the stone yard so that I could choose exactly the stones that I wanted used. He started the job right on schedule and finished within his time estimate. His prep work and attention to detail is remarkable. His crew members are all very polite, very professional, affable and extremely hard working. They work very long days so as to finish the job in a timely fashion, thus minimizing any inconvenience. The quality of the work exceeded all expectaions. It looks fantastic. Their clean-up was very thorough and left nothing for me to do. Simply stated, they are the best. If you want an absolutely top quality job you need look no further than Lourival. I recommend him enthusiastically.

Lourival was very responsive and professional. He contacted me the same day that I emailed and came out the next day to look at the work and give me an estimate. The work was completed just four days after I contacted him and the quality is great.

Mr Lourival scheduled 2 appointments to give me an estimate on masonry work. The first time he called 10 minutes before the appontment to cancel. The second time he never showed up and did not call.

Excellent. Lourival was easy to reach via cell and was always on time. His work crew was courteous and cleaned up after themselves every day. Because of all the rain in June, he was a bit behind schedule, but he managed my expectations throughout the whole process, and in the end, he completed the project only a few days behind schedule which was completely acceptable.

I got three estimates, and other two were higher price (one nearly double). When I met Lourival, he explained how he would do job and had good suggestions on style, brick shape and colors. I felt very comfortable with his friendliness and warmth. He was the only one who sent me a detalied two page work proposal, and I made a minor changes that he agreed with. He started the job on agreed date and time, and finished job on time (took two days). His crew, included Lourival himself, was hard working and very dedicated. After job was done, they meticulously cleaned site. I could tell he takes pride in his work. I was extremely satisfied with the results.

Well planned and executed. Completed the project in two weeks with no issues. In at 8 am and completed each day between 5:30 and 6 pm. The finished product exceeded our expectations. After the wall was put in, there was some lawn damage that Lourival and his team resolved by re-looming the area and reseeding . We were very pleased with his work and the level of professionalism.

I scheduled an estimate appointment with them for 6 pm on Tuesday, 5/12/09. They never showed up, never called, and have not returned my call. I will not try again, as apparently they do not want my business. If this is how they work for an estimate, I can't imagine they would be very helpful during the project itself.

The process was fast and pretty simple. Lourival was punctual in showing up to my house for the estimate, and gave us a quote that was about 1/3 less than our other prices. He sent over a written estimate the same day as well as photos of other jobs that he'd done. We decided to go with him based on reviews that we saw on Angie's List, as well as the confidence we had in what he told us needed to be done. And, it was the most reasonable price. He said it would take 2 days for the job and he was spot on. We could see the work progressing on the 1st day as the ground was cleared of all of the previous garage floor and the ground had clearly been compacted. We could see the expansion joints in place as well as the wire grid laid across the floor area. On the 2nd day, the cement was laid and smoothed...it looks great! The area was cleaned up when they were finished and Lourival even patched up a small area under the garage door and took some of the stuff we had stored in the garage down to our basement when he was finished. On the way out, I showed him another project that we were thinking about doing and he gave us a rough quote on how much it would cost. It was about 50% of other contractors that had seen the job. Overall, we are very satisfied with the job, timing and the work done. We'd definitely hire Lourival again.

They came; they worked; and they completed the wall in a timely fashion. We are extremely pleased.

The steps looks great, I'm very happy with the results. The stone steps should hold up much longer than the bricks, also safer and should be easier to clear snow off of them. Lourival was able to give me a good quote in a short period of time, schedule was flexible and easy. I will definitely call him for any future masonry work.

It went extremely well. We are more than pleased. Lourival did an excellent job and did not collect anything from us till he was done, even though his contract asked for a 50% deposit. He was extremely pleasant, made several trips to the job site to talk to us without hesitation. His crew were very nice and cleaned up very well. He did many extra things that was not in his contract. I would recommend this company highly.
