Description of Work: We contacted the George T Stevens Co. because we had no heat and we had our 80 year old mother living with us. It was 4pm and we spoke with Arlene in the office she said that she would check the locations of any tech in our area. She called me back within 5 min. and a tech showed within a hour. The tech found that when my husband changed the thermostat a wire had broken off of the thermostat, the tech reattached the wire and the system was up and running. When we asked what the charge was going to be, he refused to write up and invoice because he said he was in the area and it only took 5 mins. I would highly recommend this company.

+ -1 moreWE BOUGHT A HOUSE WITH AN AC SYSTEM INSTALLED BY GEORGE STEVENS. THE SYSTEM FAILED ON AUGUST 9. WE BEGAN CALLING THE COMPANY ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 10. WE DID NOT RECEIVE A RETURN CALL UNTIL FRIDAY AUGUST 12. THEY SAID THEY WOULD TRY TO WORK US IN LATE IN THE DAY FRIDAY OR SATURDAY, BUT WOULD CALL BACK WHEN THEY KNEW. NOT HEARING FROM THEM, I CALLED BACK AND WAS LATER TOLD THAT THE ''EARLIEST'' THEY COULD GET IN TO FIX THE SYSTEM THAT THEY HAD INSTALLED WAS TUESDAY, AUGUST 16TH-- NEARLY A WEEK AFTER OUR FIRST CALL TO THEM. THIS WAS ONE OF THE HOTTEST WEEKS OF THE YEAR. DESPITE THE FACT THAT MY WIFE IS PREGNANT AND WAS EXTRAORDINARILY UNCOMFORTABLE, THEY COULD NOT HAVE CARED LESS THAT WE WERE SWEATING IT OUT.
