Description of Work: Chris removed plants and lancaped the beds with new plants. Very nice design. One of the shrubs he put in didn't survive so he replaced the shrub. Very communicative and easy to work with. The lawn was reseeded too. Everything worked out well.

Description of Work: Excellent expericence, thrilled with results! My goal was to have the company create/design a privacy shield, without blocking my views, or impacting my homes security. Chris went back and forth with me on mulitple designs, tweaking and moving different elements until I was happy. Brought samples of the plantings we were discussing, and explained their growth cycles, maintaince and care. The work is going to be completed this Spring! I can't wait to see it all in and growing. I am going to have evergreens, flowering trees and a few smaller specimens for color in the fall. It has been a great expericence, Chris has been patient with me- I kept chainging my mind and the plans, hence the installation this coming Spring!

Description of Work: Chris Gallagher designed landscaping for our brand new home. He purchased all of the plants which were very healthy and planted them all for us. Additionally, he installed soaker hoses on a timer to water the extensive new plantings that Chris installed. He is very reliable and personable, and checks frequently on how the plantings are doing. We are very happy with our new landscaping which was reasonably priced!

+ -1 moreJob went quickly, straight and true, much to our delight. We could never have found the time to complete this task, evenings and week-ends ourselves. The workers overcame many obstacles easily (for them) to finish for us to enjoy. His men were pleasant, neat and industrious, arriving at 7:30 AM and cleaning up by 5:00 PM. All debris and removed bushes and shrubs are promptly carried away. Chris suggested we plan for shrubs along the fence-line, this will start when other projects completed permit Gallagher Designs' return to our refreshed back yard. Nice job, next comes the plantings, Chris will describe, obtain and install. Start to finish this was great to see the cleanup, fence install and the yard area gained.
Description of Work: We purchased fencing and hardware, then time was scarce and task became overwhelming. Gallagher was in town, we were confident after meeting that they could complete this task within the time requested. Work was quick and easy (for me the homeowner) and well worth having Gallagher Design complete my project.

+ -1 moreChris is a very nice guy, but he way overshot this project in terms of scoping it out. It took weeks for him to give us an estimate, and then he wanted an in-person meeting to review his grandiose plan that included far more features, plants, beds (even a rock walkway) that we had not asked for (or wanted). The work he did perform was excellent, but it was difficult to get him to back down from his ideas and accept that we really wanted pretty basic/simple landscaping. He also had a difficult time scheduling our job, due to other work commitments, etc. However, I will say that once he and his crew were here, they did a superb job at a reasonable price.
Description of Work: Planted bed with tree and bushes; cleared, mulched and planted beds; cleared an overgrown brush area and mulched.

+ -1 moreChris and his associated visited my home to provide an estimate for landscape grading. They were courteous and fairly knowledgeable. Chris said that he would send me an estimate within a week for the desired landscaping work. 2 weeks passed and I didn't receive an estimate. I called Chris to follow-up and he said that he would "drop an estimate in the mail in the next couple days". Another week passed and I didn't receive an estimate. Again I called and again Chris said that he would mail me an estimate at once. It's been 2 weeks since my last conversation with Chris and I still haven't received an estimate. I finally gave up on Chris due to his lack of professionalism and follow through.

Chris checked in with us a number of times to ensure that we were in happy with the design and he was flexible about any changes or questions we had. We would gladly work with him again and highly recommend Gallagher Design to anyone in need of landscape work.
Description of Work: They installed a brick landing and walkway at the front of our home. Fully landsacped the front and side beds, in addition to three smaller beds up by the street. They planted a substantial number of plants, bushes, trees and flowers. They moved several holly bushes and a good sized dogwood tree to better locations on the property. They designed and installed a new wrap around bed near our driveway that has stepping stones in it and built up a small stone wall behind it. They also planted grass in a number of areas and have reseeded and watered for us several times. In addition to that, they removed a good amount of debris that was at the back of our property including brush, asphalt and flagstones. We are very pleased with the work they did and would refer them to anyone looking for landscaping.

HE WAS ALWAYS ON TIME, CALLED OFTEN TO MAKE SURE THAT I WAS ABREAST WITH WHAT AND WHEN HE WAS GOING TO DO THE WORK. HE REMOVED A COUPLE OF ARBORVITAES THAT A PREVIOUS HACK HAD INSTALLED, AND LET ME PICK OUT THE NEW ONES TO BE INSTALLED. HE DID A NICE JOB LANDSCAPING AROUND THE TREES.
