Excellent. They were on time for the estimate as well as the actual work, the work finished on-time, their cleanup was great, and the price was well under that of the 'big box stores' (equivalent carpet and pad quality of course). I highly recommend them.

Based on Angie's List recommendations, I visited Framingham Carpet Centers' modest looking store. I liked this appearance as I figured that their overhead was lower than a fancier looking place. I brought our house plans and discussed them with the owner. He came to the house the next morning and took measurements, provided a formal quote in short order, and confirmed EVERYTHING was included. We placed the order with 50% down the next day. Their price was better than the local big box supplier and it didn't nickel-and-dime me. No charges for the movement of each bit of furniture, no surcharge for steps, no surcharges for removal; just an honest, easy-to-understand price. Within a week the wood was delivered to the house. A couple of days later an installer began putting in the wood floor while another began removing the old carpeting. They were conscientious about moving the furniture carefully which we appreciated. The next day 5 installers and the carpeting showed up. Two installers completed the job on the third day. Pretty quick for about 3000 sq ft of surface! The hardwood floor is magnificent, the carpeting job is great, and that tricky circular staircase is perfect. They left the place cleaner than they found it. It was a pleasure dealing with a straightforward and honest business that did a great job. I recommend them enthusiastically.

I was coordinating an electrician, then carpet-installer, then painter in sequence on a tight schedule. Framingham Carpet was very responsive in coming to measure and arranging for the carpet to be shipped quickly from the southeastern manufacturer to fit my (actually, the painter's) schedule. They promised an installation date that also fit. But afterwards, they said they could not do the installation on the promised day. Since I had gotten the installation date in writing on the order/contract, I expressed my distress and suggested I'd cancel the order. In the end, they did the installation on the date promised, so the painter could start the next day. They did a good job of installing, with two exceptions. First, the three doors in my bedroom had all cleared my old carpet, which was similar in pile and had a pad underneath. But Framingham Carpet's installation resulted in one door catching for a foot or more on the carpet when the door is opened, and another for a shorter length. I pointed this out before the installers left. They essentially said it was my problem, and I should get the door removed and planed down. Since one door opens to an unheated space, I'm not about to do that. I think the installers should have figured out how the doors would work before nailing everything down. They could have skipped a little of the carpet pad there. Or, the measurers (the owner did this) could have specified a slightly thinner carpet pad. Making it all work is their job, not mine. They do this every day, and the last time I had a carpet installed in this room was 29 years ago! Second, they ordered more carpet than was needed, which cost an extra $45 or so. Given that I may have extra wear under where two of the doors open, maybe this will come in handy some day. But still, Framingham Carpet had the lowest price because their labor/old carpet removal cost was much lower than all the other dealers. This is primarily because they didn't add lots of extras, such as a fee for diposing of my old carpet.

I went to Framingham Carpet and the salesperson helped me select a range of samples to bring home. He then came to my house a few days later to give me an estimate. For an extra $50, he agreed to carpet our hardwood stairs. We set up a date for installation, and the installers arrived promptly and worked very efficiently. They were very professional. I highly recommend Framingham Carpet. I have used Lowe's before, and they are much better all around.

The scheduling was fast and easy, the price was great, and the installers did the job quickly and very well. It only took 4 hours, the carpet looks great, and they called the very next day to follow up! I have friends who have gone the route with a big box store and their armies of elusive subcontractors, and none of them had as positive experience as I did. Go local with these guys--you won't be disappointed.

Chuck and Carol are wonderful to deal with...so nice to give business to a local family-run business rather than a big box retailer, and still pay a very fair and reasonable price. The selection was great, they were very knowledgeable and the installation team was also very good. I highly recommend them.

I could not be happier with our experience with Framingham Carpet Center. They are very friendly and knowledgable. I shopped around and found their prices to be the most reasonable as well as they were the most willing to work within my budget. We will be replacing the carpet in another room soon and I plan on using them again

They were very responsive and actually completed the first job (3 apartments) by working overtime at night so that it would be finished in time for showings for the weekend. The installers were very professional and did a great job. They were very punctual and realistic in terms of their schedule and pricing. They also noted an opportunity for installing a commercial carpet in a small area using some left over carpet they had from another job and did this at a significant discount (basically just charged for labor).
