Driveway Specialists installed my driveway and patio last year. No issues with the driveway other than some minor property damage. The patio, on the other hand, was/is a nightmare. There were several pretty obvious issues that I had to ARGUE with the owner about to try to get simple things done correctly. Pavers were cut really poorly, patio is not sloped to drain correctly, so we end up with pools of standing water, and overall just an uneven and crappy looking install. Some things never got fixed and I just gave up. Don't believe the "Don't pay until you're satisfied" line they give you either. They were hitting me up for money by the halfway point of my job.

We worked directly with Wayne Small and he was very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. The entire project was completed on schedule and within budget. We have no complaints about their work and the cost of the project was very reasonable. The work was done last fall and we continue to be very happy with how the overall project came out. It all looks fantastic!

Booked an appt with Wayne for 11AM on June 2. He never showed or called.

We hired Driveway Specialists to do repairs to our driveway and to do a seal coat. I struggled with the rating here. If I were just evaluating them based on the quality of the work, I'd give an A. And the people I dealt with were polite and friendly. But my customer service experience with them was frustrating. I won't go into all the details here, but it boils down to this. They were at times difficult to get a hold of. Also, on ore than one occasion, I was told by them that a job would be done on a particular day or week, only to have them not show up when they said they would and not call or email to let me know or to offer an alternative. It should be a basic expectation that when someone says they're going to do work on Day X, they show up on Day X to work. And if they are unable to fulfill that commitment, they should contact the customer to let them know. On too many occasions, Driveway Specialists failed to meet that basic expectation of customer service. Reading the reviews on Angieslist, it is clear that others have had my experience, but that we are a minority. Most people seemed to have had great experiences with Driveway Specialists. I can confirm the high quality of their finished work . But my customer service experience with them was bad.

It went excellently. They arrived promptly when stated and were both professional and friendly. I even had questions a few weeks later and they promptly came out to the house, reviewed everything and answered all my questions. Highly recommended and would absolutely use again!

Reached out to the Norfolk County branch of this business. The folks taking the calls are professional that's why I was disappointed that I didn't hear back. I called back a week later and told them I never got a response from anyone to schedule an Estimate appointment. When I told the phone person that I guess they don't want my business they were very sorry and that someone should be calling me in 24 hours to schedule a time. I did get a call & email this time made the appointment. When the day came 20 minutes before the appointment I missed a call. I called the # back within a minute and they didn't answer. About 20 minutes later I get a message stating there is a family emergency and they will not be coming today. I'm done.

The project was delayed due to weather and there was very little communication while we were waiting. We were notified the night before the project started. They showed up on time. They finished within 1 day which was faster than the original quote. The driveway looks good.

Special thanks to Tommy and Ryan for doing a terrific job sealing my driveway. I appreciate the quality of work and attention to detail. It was great being able to work with great people. Instead of trying to schuyster me into repaving, they made an honest assessment of my driveway and told me that a good seal coating was the solution. FABULOUS WORK!

Unfortunately, after repeated attempts, this company never got back with me about the work I needed done.

We agreed on a price and signed a contract in May, to be completed by Jun 25. They were given the freedom to select any date until the end of June, but they never called to schedule the work. After several emails and calls to remind them, they have not responded or explained why they haven't performed the agreed upon work. I was happy during the quoting process, but can't understand how they can run a business like this, nor do I understand why the have a good rating on Angie's List. The don't respond to emails or phone calls; I don't understand why they would bid and agree to do a job, and then not follow through. They have wasted my time, and it has been frustrating.

Driveway Specialists could do BOTH of these projects - no juggling schedules and trying to coordinate two different providers - huge plus!! Wayne was responsive and attentive - he was over with an estimate the evening after I called - very quick. After the initial estimate we changed the dimensions of the project and he was quick to update the estimate. We thought it would be weeks to get us on his schedule but he called less than a week after our initial conversation. His guys were onsite the next day. They were respectful, hard working and attentive to what we wanted done. Wayne was onsite each evening to review with us and check the work. I was very impressed with Wayne and his crew - highly recommend them.

Excellent job completed in one day by a hard-working crew. Would definitely hire them again.

They fixed our driveway, including the removal of some big tree roots and pieces of old asphalt. The job was done quickly and looks great.

I got two out of 3 or 4 contractors to say they would come by the house and then provide a quote. It is possible a couple of them did come by but I never heard back from either of them.

I was away on vacation, but I haven't noticed any problems. They even worked around my new septic system access points for me. Dayne said he hand-dug around them. I was thrilled to come home from vacation and be able to drive right onto my new driveway. He did have to come back out to put in the granite curbing and add more dirt around my driveway. He made sure to do all the work before I paid, though I did pay him before he came back to put the curbing in because I trusted him. I'm sorry I'm not able to rate them on punctuality and professionalism, but I'm extremely happy with the work that was done. I would recommend them to anyone.

Excellent. Wayne was great to work with, a good communicator, responsive to our needs. Quality was excellent. Within 48 hours of our driveway job, 3 neighbors had asked who did our driveway, wanting a reference. I highly recommend.

As indicated above, the whole project/job went very well.

It was my pleasure to work with Wayne. Wayne worked closely with me on the driveway design. He worked closely with his men during the actual construction. He spoke to me before beginning each phase of the project, making sure that he and I were in agreement about what was to be done next. And Wayne worked on schedule. I was thoroughly satisfied in all aspects of the project, and pleased by the result - a great looking driveway.

Wayne and the team from Driveway Specialists did a great job repaving a very beat up driveway. They completely removed the old, down to the dirt and rebuilt from there. The result looks terrific. Give or take a few $, they were the same price as another quote we received. We picked them because they were also able to repair an old brick walkway and steps, and did a terrific job on that as well. They got the job done quickly and were a complete pleasure to work with.

James came by and provided a well priced estimate and tentative schedule of completion. I accepted the proposal, the estimated time of completion came and went and when I asked for a new time estimate that date too came and went. I'm now being told it would be another 2 weeks or so, but I've heard that before. The weather has been sunny and dry for almost all of the time between proposal acceptance and now, so weather delays are no excuse. I will no longer proceed with Driveway Specialist, reliability is important to me when evaluating companies and Driveway Specialists has not demonstrated that in my opinion.
