The serviceman was quick, effective and friendly. The doors both run smoothly now. Highly recommended.

The technician was happy to answer all my questions and explain his diagnostic process, so I didn't feel like he was just trying to sell me a new machine. He helped me program the new keypad, and moved the old keypad to the other garage door, which is a different brand, so couldn't be operated with the new keypad.

Based on reviews found here, I called Door Systems when one of our garage door openers burned out. A rep came quickly, and while no one was required to be home at the time, I did meet with him to discuss the job, as well as a minor issue with balancing for the second garage door. The burned out opener was old and no longer to code, so I knew it would have to be replaced as opposed to just repaired. He gathered the necessary data and was able to offer a reasonable estimate on a new opener and replacement coils for the second door. The opener (and coils for the second door) was replaced a few days later while I was at work. The user guide and new remote opener were left in the garage, and we received an invoice a week later that matched the verbal estimate we'd been given. On the whole, it was a very good experience, and I would definitely use them again. One note.. The day after the new opener was installed, we got home from running errands and found the garage door open... and then noticed over the next few hours or so that the door would open and close at random. We came to believe that someone in the neighborhood must have had the same code as the one programmed for our door. I'm sure if we'd called Door Systems they would have responded promptly to fix the problem, but as it was it was easy enough for us to address with info in the user guide. Once we changed the code, the problem disappeared.

The garage door special was very attractive price wise. The work was easy to schedule and the mechanic arrived on time. The tune-up was completed and the work area was left nice and clean.

He was time and the price was right. He gave suggestions on how to keep the door working properly.

Thought I was going to have to replace the garage door opener. They were able to fix it instead and it has been working perfectly for the last six months. Very honest.

I called to ask for availability and an estimate. The estimate was itemized and explained clearly to me with a positive & helpful attitude. Their availability was great on both occasions - within 2-3days of my call. The person who did the work, on both occasions, was both punctual as well as professional. Both times the work was done within price range of the estimate. The prices that were quoted were approximately the same as other providers but given the timeliness, professionalism, punctuality and quality of work, the value for the service I received was money well spent.

My call was returned within a few days and Hank, the salesperson, was very helpful in walking me through all of the different available options as well as his recommendations for what type of doors would be the most cost effective and longest lasting (we live near the Ocean). He was very friendly over the phone and polite when he came to our house a few days later to give a more precise estimate. We had gotten estimates from three other garage door companies in the area and even though they all sold the same product (exact same Garaga brochures) Door Systems Inc. came in $800+ lower than the others. Priscilla called us a couple of days later to confirm an installation date, which happened to be while we were gone on vacation. We came home to perfectly installed doors and a package containing the keypads, instructions and warranties. I would definitely recommend this company!

There was an unexpected repair and we had to pay more than expected. We did not learn about the extra charge until receiving a bill later. We are happy that the garage door is working properly though.

What can I say, I've never in my lifetime experienced such professional, concern and honesty for a problem that Door Systems, Inc. provided me. If only the US Congress and our local and state politicians provided the same level of service that Door Systems provided, we would all be better off. PS: I'm not a relative, I just appreciated how they do business which is so sorely lacking . What more can I say, I needed their services again because my garage doors are super heavy they need maintence at a minimum once a year. They arrived on time and expertly went to work and adjusted, lubricated and insured that the doors were properly adjusted. THEY ARE THE BEST!

They were very good. We had kind of a rush to get something done. They were very responsive and very punctual. They were able to do the work quite promptly.

The pricing was essentially identical to other organizations. It took a day or two for them to get back to me but once they did the rep was very responsive via e-mail. The installer came at the time he said and called often to update his schedule. The job was done quickly and professionally. No complaints whatsoever.

The experience was very good. We received a good door education by visiting their shop in Framingham. The salesman was very knowledgeable and spent a good amount of time explaining our various options. The salesman arrived pretty quickly to our house to look over the job site. We requested a particular installer and got him. He did a good job. We did have a minor adjustment we wanted him to make and he arrived back in a few days to do it. We are pleased with our doors, the installation and the price. We did a fair amount of price comparison. They had the most competitive price. We recommend them.

We got the referral through the Angie's List Big Deal. The company was a bit hard to reach to schedule the service, but it wasn't an urgent matter. Once scheduled, the technician showed up as promised, took care of the doors professionally, and they're working great now.

Never got a call back. This is the 2nd call I made via Angie's list to a Garage Door company and 2nd call that was not returned. I ended up picking up the yellow pages, made one call, and someone out that day to do the work. I don't believe the positive reviews for this company.....can't be true given how rudely I was treated.

Our garage door opener stopped working a few weeks ago. We called Doors Systems for a "Free Estimate", as advertised on Angie's List. The technician came to examine the opener and gave us an estimate as expected. Later we received a bill for $89. When I called the company, their staff explained that the "Free Estimate" was only for installation of a new door or opener. For estimates on their other services, they charge $109. (Apparently we already got a deal.) They never mentioned the cost in the initial phone call nor during the visit. The person on the phone apologized but insisted that we had to pay. This company is not honest. Our experience with their "Free Estimate" could only be described as a bait-and-switch. We are going with another company, which, by the way, actually gives free estimates (as most companies do). Update (7/14): We called the company again. After arguing with the same person for 20 minutes, we asked to escalate our complaint to their president. He called back and explained that it was a misunderstand -- they thought service was performed. He voided the charge.

I contacted them originally to come out and take a look at my garage door, that was the original one that came with the house, to see what kind of improvements could be made. They did so and I asked them about a new door. They gave me a very competitive price to replace the whole thing. They were very knowledgeable. The salesperson that came out was a very calm guy. He was knowledgeable. He wasn't pushy. He was a great resource and gave me options that I could understand. I've had some follow up calls with them because the garage door was making some noise and needed some adjustments. They came right out. They were very friendly on the phone. They did it while I wasn't even home. I didn't have any expectations for price. After talking to them, I didn't get another competitive price because their price seemed super, super good in the first place for what I got.

Our first Angie's List Big Deal pick & we're very pleased with every step of the service. When we called in to schedule our appointment, Door Systems had our contact information & address at their fingertips, leading to a fast & effective scheduling phone call. Gregg, the technician, called on the morning of the planned work to introduce himself and give us an estimated arrival time. Upon arrival, he called again with a brief assessment of what he saw & his recommendations outside of their 26-point checklist/tune-up (replacing the bottom gasket). When we arrived home later in the day, the door sounded MUCH quieter, went up/down much smoother and the bottom sealed much tighter against the ground.All-in-all, very happy & would recommend Door Systems to others without reservation. BTW - we also asked Gregg to take measurements of our current door to make potential future replacement easier and faster to price out and discuss via phone/email.

I had them come out on a $79 Angie's List special offer for a garage door tune-up and now I have a new garage door. I will use them again in the future.

I called Door Systems because on of my garage doors was not closing properly. I had an intermittent problem where the door would go down part way and then at different points would start going back up. Charlie called me early in the day to give me a time window in which he would arrive. He got there near the end of the window. He quickly determined that the problem was with the photo eye sensors. He started out making some adjustments to the photo eye sensors which initially looked like it had fixed the problem but then after a number of tests it hadn't. Next he thought one of the photo eye sensors was failing so replaced them but the problem continued. After some more diagnostic effort Charlie finally determined that one of the wires that went to the photo eye sensors was broken so he replaced the wires and everything started working properly. While he was there I asked him to lube my doors since they hadn't been lubricated in years. He thoroughly lubricated every moving part. Not only do my garage doors work properly again, they are now much quieter than before. There were a few things I noticed about Charlie that I really liked. First, he hustled. From the time he got there to the time he left he was moving. Second, he was thorough. He did the job right, not just a quick and dirty fix. Third, his workmanship. I was impressed by how neatly he installed the wires from the new photo eye sensors to the door opener.

I have been fighting with my garage door for years, trying to oil the wheels, adjust the tracks, etc. After Door Systems was finished, it worked better than it has in 13 years! The tech was on time, friendly, and very competent in dealing with old garage door problems. It did cost me about $100.00 over the cost of the Big Deal coupon, but I wish I had called them 10 years ago.

Everything turned out great. I have no complaints.

They made sure that everything was good and more. Their price was good and their responsive was excellent. They sent someone to do a quote right away and I would not hesitate to use them.

We made an appointment for Door Systems, Inc. to come and assess repair on our garage door. The service person called, and said they could not come that day due to trouble with a truck. They asked when they could reschedule, and we said Wednesday would work. Monday morning, I was late to get to work, and rushing out my door and saw the Door Systems truck parked in front of our house. The serviceperson came out of the truck and I said I couldn't meet with them. I pulled out of my driveway, and along side the truck and asked about Wednesday which is what we had agreed on. The service person started yelling at me, asking me if I was being rude to them, and I had no right to be rude, etc. I was really taken aback, I had just asked about whether the Wednesday appointment was still going to happen, which is what we had agreed upon earlier. I drove off, now very late for work. I called the office, relayed what had happened. A week later, I got a bill for $79.00. When I called and left a message, saying I was surprised at a charge for their error (left a message) no one called me back. I did receive a refund letter, but no apology was ever made, no one ever called us back. I felt the service person was unprofessional (and volatile!) and I was not impressed with the non-communication with their billing person.
