Description of Work: They moved a 1954 Hammond B2 drawbar organ w/bench, a Leslie 122 Speaker and Hammond PR40 tone cabinet from Old Lyme, Conn. to my residence in MA. |I couldn't ask for a smoother, more professional job than was performed by the people at Bushell. |This organ was in very rare showroom condition, the Leslie recently had a new Valhalla cabinet installed so it was very important that these items arrive in the exact same condition that it left the seller's residence. Needless to say, Bushell Movers did not disappoint! |And, they set everything up in my dining room, to my satisfaction. |I can, wholeheartedly, recommend Bushell Piano Movers!

Description of Work: They transported a piano from Connecticut to our home in Massachusetts. It wasn't a complicated job and they were in and out in less than 5 minutes. One of the men was a bit surly, but the others were pleasant enough. Not sure about on the other end, but at the drop off they were all business and very fast.

Description of Work: Moved an upright piano from Duxbury, MA to Sudbury, MA. Move execution was very good; communications needs improvement. Slow response to website request for quote. On day of move, movers did not have our cell phone despite us giving it to the office so they communicated their arrival time via the piano's original owners.

Description of Work: They didn't show up on the date or the time promised. I kept calling and they kept saying they were coming. Finally they admitted they weren't coming that day and tried to negotiate a different day and time. However, as I was having the hardwood floors in my house removed and replaced, as I had explained when I hired them, this wasn't possible. I ended up moving it out and back myself. They lost a job and a customer for life.

Description of Work: Raymond and a small crew moved an upright piano from Hartford, CT to Natick, MA. Work was performed in 2006.

 + -1 moreThe whole process was just as quick and effective as I had hoped. They came in, set to work, went over what they were going to do, then just did it. In calling to set up the move, Rob Bushnell called me back very promptly. Scheduling was very easy and based on my needs.
Description of Work: The three movers arrived on time (after calling to let me know they were on their way), and efficiently got the piano on a dolly, took it out of the room and out of the house, down the 12 stairs (GULP!) and into their truck. The pedals on this piano were suspended on a separate component from the bottom and I was worried that it would be damaged, but there was nothing to worry about. The piano was moved to my friend's home and getting it into their home just as easily. The movers were great!

 + -1 moreMR. BUSHELL AND I PLAYED A BIT OF PHONE TAG, BUT HIS MESSAGES INCLUDED QUESTIONS THAT I COULD ANSWER FOR HIM IN MY MESSAGES. WHEN WE FINALLY TALKED, HE QUOTED MORE THAN I EXPECTED, BASED ON ANGIE'S LIST MOVES. HE EXPLAINED IT WAS DUE TO THE STAIRS INVOLVED. I FELT THIS WAS THE MOST PROFESSIONAL OF THE MOVERS I CONTACTED. IT SEEMED LIKE THEY ENJOYED THEIR WORK -- TOOK PRIDE IN IT -- AND WERE EXPERTS -- QUALIFIED. THEIR PRICE WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OTHER TWO COMPANIES (A DIFFERENCE OF $35 BETWEEN THE HIGHEST AND LOWEST).
Description of Work: WOULD HAVE MOVED A CONSOLE PIANO FROM AN ELEVATOR BUILDING IN CAMBRIDGE TO THE SECOND LEVEL OF A HOUSE/CONDO, ALSO IN CAMBRIDGE. IT TURNED OUT THAT THE RECEIVING FAMILY HAD TO DECLINE THE OFFER OF OUR PIANO BECAUSE OF LACK OF SPACE. WE SOLD THE PIANO TO A DEALER WHO USED ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY.

THEY APPARENTLY OPERATE ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. THEY WERE RUNNING A LITTLE LATE (1/2 HOUR) FOR THE PICK-UP AND CALLED AHEAD TO INFORM MY MOTHER. MY FATHER (A RETIRED ARMY COLONEL) COMMENTED THAT THEY PERFORMED THE JOB LIKE A MILITARY OPERATION, THE HIGHEST PRAISE HE CAN GIVE!!!
