Bushell Piano Movers

Showed up on time. Were very careful of the piano as well as other furniture and walls, floors and doors.

I met with the owner prior to the move. I had sent some pictures and he wanted to get a closer look. He said it was fine. We scheduled a date to move the piano and the crew of 4 came to the house right on time. They pulled the truck up to the steps and got the piano out of the house in about 20 minutes. They even smoothed out the yard where the truck had made imprints in the soft ground. (It had to go off the driveway a bit in order to back up to the stairs.) At the destination they were just as efficient (although now only 3 men). They unloaded the piano and put it back together in about 15 minutes. No a lot of small talk, just got the job done which was fine by me. I am very satisfied and would recommend them.

Bushell was great to work with. They responded promptly to my original online quote form, and were responsive over the phone, as well. The delivery men were very courteous and careful with the piano. The only hiccup was that they were supposed to be in Maine around 2:00 and hadn't shown up by 3:00. I called the office and they had the drivers call me right away with an update, but I wish they had been more proactive and called to let us know they were going to be delayed in the first place. Not a big deal, and they were great to work with.

I asked for, and received, a quick quote from Raymond which gave a competitive price for moving the piano, and for moving the other furniture in my home. Raymond said they needed about a day or two notice to schedule a move. When I emailed back on a Tuesday, I was able to schedule the move for Thursday at a pretty convenient time. Crew was friendly, efficient and careful. Piano and other household furniture were moved and placed exactly where I wanted them. I will definitely use Bushell again.

We called a week ago and were given an exact quote which was very competitive, and told to call back when we were ready. I called on Monday the 12th, and Ray scheduled me for Friday. He called me back a few minutes later saying he had a cancellation, and the truck could be at the originating location within the hour. It was, and they the moved our Yamaha baby grand down one flight of stairs, moved related furniture around for my mother, then moved the piano into my new house, all within a 2 hour time frame. The movers were courteous, professional, and accommodating. They asked me where I would like the piano in the room, and gave me plenty of time to think and were willing to move it more than once if necessary. They also gave me good tips on moving it around myself if need be. I would definitely call them again.

The move was very smooth and professionally done. It was a joy to work with them. When they got to our new home it was raining. They took the time to wait until the shower passed and then proceeded. They carefully measured the spaces and followed through until the piano was safely positioned in its new spot.

We moved in to our house on 5/29/2013. By the time the piano came off the truck, I was tired and said: "Oh, just put it there". Well, "there" was wrong. I needed movers to move the piano to a different wall, move a sofa and two chairs. When I called to schedule, Raymond said he had a truck nearby and would see if they could do the job. Twenty minutes later, three pleasant and competent movers showed up and carefully moved the 107 year old piano and other furniture. My family was surprised when they got home! Raymond was pleasant and professional as were his movers. I recommend this company.

everything went smoothly. Only issue is that the sustain pedal doesn't work, and i don't know if it's their fault or it was just ready to go, but it worked before the piano got moved.

Setting up the appointment by phone was easy, and the movers showed up right on time. They were also very patient while we tried different configurations of the piano and rug before making a final decision.

Quoting process was done very well via emails. Movers showed up on time and were very curteous and professional. Unfortunately they damaged a wall corner and step edge while moving the piano. They also moved a number of other items at a resonable rate with no complications. They were very responsive at providing options to have damage repaired.

The experience was delightful. The customer service from my first call to obtain an estimate to when the crew left my driveway exceeded my expectations.

Four movers came and they worked very strenuously to move the piano out of the house. They ended up having to dismantle parts of the piano to make it fit. Perhaps the house was reconfigured after the piano was delivered many years ago (before we owned the house). They were professional, courteous and vigilant. We couldn't have been more pleased with the work. Afterwards, Ray called just to make sure we were happy. Bushell's customer service is excellent.

I had originally arranged to have a piano, grandfather's clock, and a few boxes moved. Due to time constrictions, I never got all the possessions boxed before Bushell arrived. They ended up boxing up much, much more than arranged. They did so without a complaint. The final price wasn't much more than originally scheuled.

Needed to relocate a donated Kimball Studio Upright piano from a home in Melrose to my church, The First Baptist Church Of Melrose...approx. 3 miles away. Bushell Movers called ahead, saying they were ahead of schedule and could arrive earlier! Arrived at their estimated time and got to work....ramp the piano out of the house and ramp up into their truck. I met them at the church. Up 9 steps to a landing...1 step up into the church and then 5 more steps to the main floor...Glad I called the Professionals!! They carried the piano up the stairs and wheeled in into place. They cautioned me about having the piano too close to the heat source in the room. The owner also offered to "talk me through" dismantling (read sawz-all ) the old upright piano the we replaced. There are parts under tension and It's al bit risky cutting it up without proper precautions. Overall very pleased with the whole experience.

Price was a bit higher than initially thought because of the specific piano we had to have moved. However, they were prompt and professional, got the job done quickly, and delivered to our daughter's house in a very timely and efficient way.

I was afraid to have friends try to move the piano 1) because they might get hurt and sue me, and 2) because the deep carpet pile might get caught in the little legs and break them off and then I would have to hold the piano in my lap to play it. :) I called Bushell Piano Movers and they answered the phone personally. They said they regularly visit my town about every two weeks and they would contact me a day in advance to see if the timing was good. I received the call within a few days of contacting them and we agreed on a convenient time. On the day of the move, they called to confirm the time and to let me know when they were about 45 minutes away. The time we agreed upon was the time they arrived--exactly! There were two strong young men and they hoisted the piano onto a dolly like it was didn't weigh anything--I could barely budge it away from the wall. It took about five minutes for them to position the piano and confirm that the location was good for me. I am enjoying my newly arranged living room and love looking at the piano in it's new location. I am so glad I decided to call Bushell Piano Movers to finally get this job done!

Not only was Bushell quick to respond to my email request but they were able to schedule the move the same week! This was important because my grandparents are moving from a 7 room home into a 2 room assisted living apartment and needed to give some items away first. The gentlemen that came to help were very professional and even gave us a few tips about when to have the piano tuned. I would definately use them again.

Bushell was very professional, listened to us, and did a great job. They also assisted with moving other pieces of furniture for an hourly rate. One item in particular was difficult to move from the third story to the basement, but the workers persevered and moved the item successfully. The only issue was that there was somewhat of a disconnect between what I communicated to the office and what the workers had been instructed to do.

I hired Bushell in early Dec. The guy I spoke to on the phone seemed very confused and kept getting the details wrong, both my address and the date of the move. I thought everything was fine until Dec 9 when the movers showed up to move-- one whole month early. They joked that they were at least a month early. I was appalled. I insisted on getting an email confirmation with address and move date or I would switch companies. They complied. The move itself went fine, although the movers were very impatient about the last 10 min-- getting the piano centered exactly right in the bay window. I also had a damp chaser (to humidify the piano to prevent the sound board from cracking.) They removed it when the piano was moved, but refused to reinstall it because they said they didn't believe in damp chasers. Now I have to hire my piano tuner to reinstall the damp chaser. I will definitely be sending Bushell the bill! I would not recommend them.

They did an excellent job. They were responsive and friendly when I called. To our surprise, their price was lower than any of the moving companies I contacted. They were able to schedule the move much faster than I had anticipated and when we had a timing conflict at one end of the move, they were very accommodating in changing times. The move itself went very well, they were on time, efficient, careful, helpful and friendly. We would absolutely use them again.
