All About Air

Our usual, expensive contractor was booked for at least a week and we didn't want to live with no A/C for any length of time. We contacted our electrician, Kevin Nichols, who stopped by within 2 hours of our call and took a look at the system. He had a good idea what the issue was and made a call to Joe and asked him if he could come by and look at the system. Joe was at my doorstep within 2 hours and in the attic diagnosing the problem. He fixed it within an hour and charged us about 1/5 of what our now former contractor would have charged us. We now have a new A/C contractor.

The installation was great and quick. Joe and his team were there, they were clean, conscientious, and kept us informed on every step of their way. The system worked great. The next year, when we restarted the system, there was no cooling. We were informed that there was a defective part recall by the manufacturer. They came, recharged the system (at no charge)... but it took them nearly a week of calling to get them there. Once there, they were very polite, quick and neat. This happened a couple more time with the AC, and each time, trying to get them out there was difficult. Finally, after 4 different service calls, they came to find the manufacturer defect. They removed the defective part, ordered a new one, tested the new one, and installed it. The system works great now. Frankly, the company is very busy, and they should be, they do good work. But Joe's follow-through (or lack thereof) did cause us to have some hot nights (not the good kind). He was faced with a very difficult situation of taking care or paying customers versus returning to fix a unit that was no longer paying him to do so, but honoring his warranty. I believe he tried to juggle all of his work, and unfortunately, it cost both him and us. Joe has done other work for us and proved to be a stand-up guy, and serious about making sure you're satisfied. I truly believe that if this part was not defective, I would be writing an A+ review of his service.

Joe came to inspect the boiler that was not working properly and evaluate the A/C units on my newly purchased home. After finding an easy fix to the boiler issue and noting that my A/C units were in good working condition, Joe did not charge me for his visit. Asking only that I consider him in the future for other work, Joe proved that excellent customer service still exists in today's market. I will definitely use Joe for any HVAC needs going forward.

My initial call was returned the same day and an appointment was set up. Unfortunately, they never showed for the appointment and have not returned my call after 36 hrs.
