Affordable Tile and Grout

He was excellent. I don't remember the cost but it was fair priced. His name was Labbe.

We had an old fiberglass tub surround in our only bathroom. We wanted subway tile so we called Ryan at Affordable Tile and Grout. He called right back and came over to the house to give us an estimate. He removed the old tub surround, disposed of the trash, installed the new tile and left the place immaculately clean when the work was complete. We live in an old house where the ceilings and floors are not close to being level and the walls are far from plumb. We couldn't be happier with the attention to detail, craftsmanship, and cost of the job. If you need tile work, Ryan is the guy to call.

We hired Ryan to replace the old tile in our kitchen. He was quick to respond when I called and came out within the week to do the job. He had to replace parts of the wall and did a great job. You would never know it was replaced. He cleans up well after every time he was here and came back every day until the job was complete. The tile looks beautiful and I highly recommend him.

Ryan was very responsive to the initial inquiry and providing an estimate. Performed the work efficiently and took the time to clean up after install. Did nice work with a delicate artisian tile install all around the kitchen as backsplash. Finished wall looks great. Pricing was very reasonable. Offered suggestions on a subsequent job and would consider hiring for a stone tile flooring install. Very happy all around.

Excellent work and done in a professional and timely manner and a fair price. We may have additional tile work and will definitely call Ryan to do the job if we proceed with the project.

Ryan did a very professional job. The kitchen tile. Was artisan ceramic tile, but we were missing the bullnose Trim we had ordered and paid for. Ryan went out and purchased an alternative edging so the job wasn't delayed, and did a great job. He is very good at what he does.

Ryan did a very nice job at a very fair price. More importantly - he was very flexible. We had other projects going at the same time and he accommodated our schedule very graciously. We found tile on the internet - he was happy to order it from his supplier and deliver it at no additional charge. The finished job looks great. We had him do our kitchen floor, the backsplash, and a bathroom floor. We would definitely hire him again.

I am very pleased with Ryan's work. We had a back hall with sheet vinyl ripping up in several places. We bought our own tile and grout beforehand and had Ryan remove the vinyl and put in the tile. Ryan gave an accurate estimate for the work and explained how our squeaking floor might lead to additional repairs (even sending us a Bob Vila video in email explaining it). Luckily it didn't come to that but it was nice to have the information up front. Ryan and his assistant were able to prep the floor and install the tile in one day, coming back after the weekend for the grout after the tile set. Additionally, I had to bust up some tiles in our kitchen to remove a dishwasher for replacement, and Ryan was able to replace those tiles as well using leftovers left by the previous house owners. The floor looks great.

Ryan Labbe of Affordable Tile and Grout was a lifesaver for me! We had never met him but when we called and told him our master bath needed some tiles replaced following a leak, he scheduled us promptly for the next day. He called on his way to let us know the exact time he would arrive. He looked at the job, gave us a fair quote, and started the work immediately. He had to come back the next day to finish the job, and he worked around our schedule for an agreed time. He is extremely neat, thorough, knowledgeable, and pleasant to be around. Ryan even saw a few little thing that needed fixing in the room, and he took care of them while he was here. I’m glad I found him. I would highly recommend him for any tiling needs.

We have used Ryan’s services on two occasions now. The first was a couple of years ago, in our Concord home. Ryan had to “undo” someone else’s incredibly poor work, and completely re-tile our tub surround, and finish the tile floor. The surround had a lot of weird angles and not only did Ryan do a great job, he recommended setting the tiles in a more decorative pattern, in some areas. The finished product was fantastic. Ryan is now tiling two bathroom surrounds and floors, at our present house, in Stow. Again, his work is top notch, and he is always professional, promptly returning emails, calls and texts. Would I hire Ryan again? Without hesitation. (I don't like to put cost of service(s), as a business service owner myself, I know how much it can vary, from job to job. Every bathroom, kitchen, type of tile... are NOT the same. But, having hired many trades over the years, and having a relative who is a tile professional, I know Ryan's prices are fair.)

Never called to come out to look at the job.

Ryan had a block of time open up just when we needed him, and came by quickly to estimate the job. We hired him on the spot based on other reviews. He accomplishes his work quickly and meticulously, left the work area almost spotless each day, carefully taped shut and screened off areas to keep dust from spreading, and stayed on budget. All the tile was cut to fit perfectly. He brought his new assistant to work on the installation and supervised and explained everything to him in great detail, and the result was a perfect install, I could not tell the areas each worked on after they were done. I recommend him without reservation.

I initially called Ryan to replace several 4"x4" tiles that had fallen off the surround and to re-grout / re-caulk areas needing attention. I was probably kidding myself this was going to be an easy repair as water had been leaking in behind the tiles for some time. Ryan examined the areas and recommended demolition as it was beyond a simple repair. When we started the demolition it showed the water had created one **** of a mess: there was a lot of mold and the substructure (joists and 2x4's were pretty damp, but thankfully not rotted or infested with ants, etc. Ryan replaced the durarock and re-tiled the surround and ceiling and matched with the existing tiles on the other walls in the bathroom. I had the bathtub stripped and re-glazed and now it looks spectacular. Thank you Ryan!

He did a really good job, it looks like new. He arrived on time, left on time, left no mess, and came in rate at the $ quote he gave us.

Ryan was incredibly responsive to our requests to come and see what we needed to have done. When he came for the install, he was great at explaining what needed to be done and proceeded to complete the job. It required coming more than once, as the tile and the hearth had to dry after being muddled in - before the final grout was applied. Throughout the process, Ryan was very careful about keeping the work area and surrounding area clean - and he also made sure that the areas were completely clean before he left. He answered all of our questions about the installations, and we both felt very comfortable and confident that we would be pleased with the results - and we are! He gave us some extra cleaning material to wipe down the hearth stone should there be any clouding. He also provided the sealer to be applied to the slate. He has a keen sense of detail, and wanted us to be completely happy before he completed the work. Ryan is a personable and very knowledgeable professional who we would absolutely hire again! Most certainly we would recommend him!

We initially received Ryan?s contact information from my parents who highly recommended him. We had him and his brother tile our kitchen and bathroom. We found them to be very professional, courteous, and true craftsman of their trade. My husband was thinking of tiling a small area in our cellar by himself for which I am not very comfortable with(story for another time), and Ryan had offered him free use of one of his wet-saws for as long as my husband needed it. Ryan came out to do an estimate while he was in the neighborhood on another job. After that we comminucated mostly by email. Ryan was very busy but luckily our schedule was very flexible so it was pretty easy to agree on a schedule, description of work and price. He arrived when he said he would, and worked quickly with an assistant. We had a problem with the tiles that I had purchased. One of the boxes had tiles that were of a slightly different size than the tiles in the other boxes. Ryan was very clever about using those smaller tiles in places where they could be cut and not affect the overall symmetry. He was very efficient about how he used the tiles, so I didn't have to go back and deal with the tile store on that. He cut the tiles outside on the front yard to minimize dust in the house which I appreciated. He cleaned up very well afterwards. The whole process required about a day and a half. I changed my mind about the choice of grout after asking him to buy it, and ended up buying what I wanted. I didn't tell him in time so he purchesed the grout, and very kindly said he could use it on another job and did not charge me for it. I have asked him to return to do a bathroom tiling project sometime in the next couple of months aas well.

I submitted an inquiry online on Ryan's website. I received a text from him a day or so later (a Monday) saying that he will come to look at the bathroom the following weekend. There was some back and forth through text but ultimately Ryan was able to come over on Sunday afternoon. He showed up on time, looked at the room, discussed what we were looking for and promised to have a quote to us within 48 hours. After 72 hours, I still hadn't heard so I confirmed my email address with him. I have yet to hear from Ryan at all - no quote and no further correspondence. Very frustrating.

Ryan and his assistant did a great job. Very professional and a high quality installation. He did what he promised and came out as planned. I would absolutely use him again and would recommend him to others.
