As we were under contract to purchase a house, we had a quick turnaround for the inspection to be completed. Alex and the team at Mass Bay were very responsive and had our pest inspection scheduled and completed within a very short time frame (24 hours) and the report was delivered the same day as the inspection.

I paid for a complete home inspection for Angie's List customers, one of the special deals in my area. I had woodpeckers attacking my house over the last year. There were probably around two dozen holes in the sides of my house and near the front entry. Alex from Mass Bay Wildlife was knowledgeable about the types of woodpeckers in MA and their habits. My intention was to get rid of the woodpeckers, make sure there was nothing like bugs attracting them to my house, and then repair and paint the house. Alex recommended that I go through three seasons without the woodpeckers attacking the house before I had any work done. He explained that the birds were most active in spring and fall and not so much in summer. He applied a clear gel (tanglefood) which is very sticky. He said that if the woodpecker goes back to one of the holes with the gel, it isn't likely to return. He asked me to give it three to four weeks time and to call him if the woodpecker returned. He said he would apply another coat of the gel without charge. He did say that once the bugs and pollen fly, the house may look unsightly where the gel is, but that it was the only way to get rid of the woodpecker. There are certain species that are protected and one type in MA is protected. I have seen two different types around my property. Alex gave me a credit for the inspection and just charged me for the repellent service.

Alex was very responsive to my emails and fit me in with short notice which was much appreciated given was getting this done as part of a home inspection and had only 5 days to get all the inspections done. Alex himself conducted the inspection and did the best he could to inspect the property given the ceiling of the garage was finished, the basement was finished, and the only place he could access the frame of the building was in the eaves of the 2nd floor. He did find signs of carpenter ants in one of the eaves which can now be addressed.

He was very knowledgeable, polite and professional. He came prepared and really knew what he was doing.

I called to schedule an appointment. Alex said he could do the service within 30 minutes of my call as he was passing through my town. He arrived sooner than the 30 minutes. He verified the ants I showed him were carpenter ants and that the termite inspection and treatment for the ants could be done immediately. He explained what he would do and he complteded within the indicated time frame. I was very pleased with his explantion of the treatment and the chemical he used. He said the ants should be eradicated within 30 days. However, if there are still some ants after 30 days, he would redo the treatment and that treatment is guaranteed for 1 year.

Most traps were used especially in basement. He reset new bait on his second visit . Alex is a professional all around, very personable and seems to enjoy his work and his customers.

Alex came to our house for an estimate right away. He came back within 48 hours to seal a few cracks in our basement walls. He also set traps and sprayed a garlic spray to help prevent the return. My husband removed the snakes prior to Alex coming out because I wanted them out of the house right away.

I called Alex for a pest inspection for a home I was purchasing. I suspected that there could be an animal living on the property and hadn't even mentioned it yet. Alex immediately keyed into there was an animal who put a burrow in the base of the house and where it was coming through from another yard. He told me the options and the best option for the scenario. He did an inspection of the property and gave me the printed report onsite from the printer in his truck. He was ontime, professional and I would consider his company for a pest service.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it turned out very well. On a positive side he was very good at explaining everything what he was doing and why he was doing the pest control. This created a lot of clarity for me.

Alex went through my house inside and out. No pest found!

It went very good. He came here. I had looked into it yesterday and I got an email asking me if they could come today between 12 and two. He got here at around 12:30. He is very polite and very nice. He is very informative. He checked the house out. I'm very happy with him. There were no additional charges. It was what they had listed. There was an extra charge because they would have to do another service in the Spring once the weather warms up. They have to come back out and treat the property. I had a 10% discount.

Purchased one of the Angie's list deals for a full pest inspection. Originally started looking for a professional when we started hearing scratching in the walls of our addition and the occasional strong skunk smell permeating the room (and then the house). Alex from Mass Bay immediately responded through Angie's List to the purchase and we setup a convenient time for later in the week. Alex showed up promptly at the assigned time and did a full inspection of the property. I removed an overgrown bush so that he could access under our deck on the side of the addition. Sure enough, there was a mound of dirt around a den up against the foundation of the addition. Alex set and baited a cage trap to catch the critter. Sure enough, later that night a possum was found in the cage. Alex came and picked him up the next day. We kept another trap that we will re-bait later this week once it warms up a bit to see if anything else (like the skunk) is still in the vicinity. Highly recommend this company for their prompt and professional service. Alex was extremely knowledgeable and took time to explain what he was doing and his suggestions.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. We actually loved working with that vendor. They were really prompt and the guy was really nice so we're really happy with the service. We're happy to get the deal for the inspection through Angie's List and we're happy with how he did it. He gave us a good deal for the extermination. There was no extra charge. We live in a house that shares a wall with another identical town home. The guy explained that we should get our neighbor on board if we wanted it to be done correctly because he has to climb up and seal up all the holes all around. Luckily our neighbor was on board. I think it's $600 total for the whole property. We are very happy. I think their price is pretty comparable to other services.

Alex was awesome! He came out the same day I contacted him about my squirrel problem and was able to put up the one way door to cover up the hole they had chewed. The squirrels were out of the house within 2 days, and he came back the following week upon my request to follow up and be sure the squirrels were gone. He closed up the hole and said I could call him should they come back or break through the barrier he put up. He's a great guy, super nice, and very professional. I would highly recommend him to anyone with any pest issues.

Treated for Mice in my attic. Alex is great! Very personable, professional, responsive, and extremely knowledgeable. I?m considering changing my terminex service over for a full contract program as a result of my interaction with this company. I strongly recommend Mass Bay Wildlife to anyone else having a critter or insect problem.

It went well. They came and he was helpful and knowledgeable. I have no complains. I think it was a little pricy.

It went very well. Alex was here quicker then we expected and we have not seen a mouse nor evidence of a mouse since.

Can't say enough good about Alex and Mass Bay Wildlife. Arrived for estimate on time and provided estimate on the spot. Work was done in a workmanlike manner and completely cleaned up. AFTER 3 1/2 - 4 MONTHS THERE HAVE BEEN NO SIGNS OF MICE IN THE MAIN LIVING AREAS, HOWEVER, A DEAD MOUSE WAS RECENTLY FOUND IN THE BASEMENT. I WILL BE CALLING ALEX WHEN I GET BACK UP TO MASSACHUSETTS IN THE NEAR FUTURE TO ASK FOR FOLLOW-UP SERVICE. I ANTICIPATE A POSITIVE, HELPFUL RESPONSE BASED ON OUR PREVIOUS INTERACTION. I WILL HAVE TO UPDATE THIS REVIEW AFTER ALL THAT HAPPENS.

Alex arrived promptly at 9am Examined both apartment units in two-family house. Placed bait stations in basement, both units, and attic areas. All told, took about 45 min. Very thorough. Alex was cordial, friendly and very professional.

Alex answered my email right away and we scheduled an appointment for later that week. He was right on time, professional and efficient. I was not sure what I was hearing in my attic so he inspected that area as well as the basement and foundation. He set bait traps in all areas he thought rodents were active and sealed cracked in the foundation. He really did a fantastic job and I would recommend him to anyone.

This is a great company! Th ey are professional, knowledgable, and prompt. Alex provided information about the roof and animals above and beyond squirrels. The price was great and I would definately use them again. In fact, I am - in the spring for lawn ants.

Went great. He showed up exactly on time and walked us through the entire house explaining what he was doing. When issues were discovered he explained what he had found and what the solution was to resolve them. Since no work needed to be done immediately he provided an estimate for service in the coming spring when we will need some work done.

They were supposed to show up yesterday and they didn’t. He never called so I called them. They said they were running late and they would reschedule. I longer want to do business with them.

I initially called Mass Bay (Alex) on a Sunday morning after my wife and I heard noises at night along the ceiling of our bedroom, indicating that we had some type of animal in our attic. Alex answered the phone and walked through with me the noises we had heard, etc., and he indicated the possible things it could be (mice, grey squirrel, flying squirrel, etc.), and he came that Tuesday morning to inspect and provide a quote. Alex arrived on time and spent about 30 minutes examining the property, including climbing into the attic, etc. , and answering my questions. He then gave me a quote for the work - putting steel screen along roofline (hidden by trim, gutters, etc) in several sections where some animals had chewed through the netting, which was the point of entry to the attic, with a one-way door temporarily. Because we have lots of blown in insulation in the attic, it was difficult for Alex to identify the precise animal(s) that were in the house, although the lack of disturbance in the insulation suggested that he was probably not dealing with a grey squirrel. Once I agreed to the quote, he performed the work then and there, He spent about 2 hours at the house doing the work, and the service was to include him coming back two weeks later to remove the one-way door and baiting in the attic if the evidence continued to suggest mice. Before it was time for Alex to return to remove the one-way door and do the baiting, I discovered acorns and droppings in the basement, and we continued to hear noises from the attic but also elsewhere in the walls. I emailed Alex over the weekend, and he promptly emailed me back that he could come on that Wednesday morning (when I said I could be home). Alex came right on time on Wednesday morning, and we spent about 15 minutes walking around the basement, outside, etc. Alex then quoted me for doing baiting (beyond the attic baiting that was included in the first service), inspecting the whole foundation for entry points and performing exclusion work, where necessary. I agreed to the price and service, and Alex was able to perform the service right then. He was at the house for about and hour and a half to two hours. He put bait in the basement, attic and in a crawl space on the second floor where there was evidence of mice. Alex gave me a discount as an Angie's List member but also prorated the second service based on the amount I had paid for the first service, which included some baiting for the attic. The service also included the cost of having Alex come back in six months to re-bait and inspect things. Alex was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions and walked me through everything so I understood not just what we was doing but why he was doing each thing, etc. We will see how the mouse control plays out, but thus far, my experience with Mass Bay Wildlife and Alex has been great. I would highly recommend him to others. He is very responsive, professional and appears to provide very thorough work.
