Description of Work: I had some rotten wood on my front porch and a couple of corner boards that were rotting. I called Bill Cater and received an estimate of $500. I had assumed that this price included replacing the entire rotted board and not just cutting out a foot or two and replacing with their vinyl trim. I was very disappointed with the quality of work i.e. major gaps between existing and replacement wood and feel like I did not get a fair price. They did show up on time (30 mins early in fact) the carpenter who did the work was polite. I wish I could upload pictures to show the actual amount of trim that was replaced. I checked the material cost and it made me furious. It took 2.5 hours 1 man labor and that included cleanup time.

 + -1 moreThe owner, Bill, came and inspected the flashing around the chimney on my roof. He said that I needed to contact a mason for the work that needed to be done. I have contacted a mason and waiting for him to complete the job. In the past Bill has repaired my roof, put railings on the steps down from my porch, and shingled, painted and repaired the windows of my family's 100 + year old cottage. Each job was done in an A+ manner and even my very picky sister was impressed. The price was reasonable. I would definitely hire Bill for any job needed done without even bothering to get another quote. He is very honest.

He showed up on time, gave me a very fair estimate for my large oversized deck, finished the work a week early, left the site clean and did a great job! I will not hesitate to hire Bill again. He is professional, courteous and punctual.
Description of Work: Installed a Mahogany deck with benches and Azek trim. Also trimmed three glass sliding doors with Azek trim board.

 + -1 moreBill Carter removed rotted trim boards, some of which were difficult to access, replaced them with Azek, and disposed of the old boards. The price, which included everything, was reasonable considering the quality of the work. I will definitely call him again with future jobs.
