WALT'S ELECTRIC

Our newly purchased home had some old wiring and other code violations that were of concern to our insurance company and prevented us from doing some insulation work that we wanted to do. We also wanted to relocate some light fixtures and install new ones more to our liking. Walter was able to look at the job just a few days after I called him and gave us a ballpark figure for the rewiring that was comparable to some of the lower priced estimates that we had received from other contractors. He told us his rates and explained how he would go about doing the work and why it was difficult to accurately estimate how long it would take to go through the house and find all of the old wiring. We chose the light fixtures and ceiling fans that we wanted at a local supply store and Walter picked them up and billed us at his cost, which was below retail. Most of the work was done by Walter's crew of two who were very professional and did great work on the rewiring, fixture installation and on the clean up afterward. The job took several days over the course of about 6 weeks to complete as some of the fixtures we wanted were back ordered by the supplier. Walter was very good about keeping in touch with us during this time to let us know where things stood with our order and always called us at least a day ahead of time to let us know when his crew would be coming back to continue the work. He even saved us the cost of the bathroom exhaust fan we wanted to replace by giving us one that he had on the shelf as a leftover from another job. All in all, working with Walter was a very pleasant experience. It has been nearly a year since the work was completed and everything they did still looks great and works flawlessly.
