About us

Sarasin Landscape & Irrigation, Inc. was established in 1987, originally as a Landscaping company. In 1990 I began to offer lawn sprinkler installation and service. The irrigation grew rapidly in the 90's and I decided to concentrate solely on lawn sprinklers the year 2000. I presently service several hundred irrigation systems. From day one my business philosophy has been to do it once and do it right, install a system like I would if it were my property. The system is designed to provide double coverage and use top quality components. Most contractors will use similar equipment but often there is a wide difference with the sprinkler head layout and/or the number of sprinkler heads used. As a Certified Irrigation Contractor and more importantly as an experienced installer I have learned that a poorly designed system after the initial installation to achieve double coverage will be far more costly than installing it the right way the first time. Many irrigation contractors love to do the install but don't respond to their customers when they need service. I take great pride in providing my customers with dependable, timely service. Description of Work: Bob installed my sprinkler system over an acre of grass 28 years ago and has done all the service ever since. Description of Work: Installed 16 zone lawn and shrub irrigation system with programmable controller, rain sensor and 2 outside hose spigots. |Job went very well. |Pipes were pulled through underground. Disturbed areas of lawn were well restored and now (about 3 weeks later) are barely visible. |Bob Sarasin designed the system and used 3 or 4 different sprinkler heads for the various watering needs. All areas of the lawn have "dual coverage"; that is, all areas are watered by two sprinkler heads. |The price was higher than another quote; but, I felt I was getting a better design (16 zones vs. 12) and a better value.

I used SARASIN IRRIGATION, INC.
Description of Work: Sarasin provides all my lawn and garden irrigation services. My front lawn was ripped up to install a walkway, trees and shrubs. In the process, several irrigation lines were breached. Sarasin completed the re-routing of the lines. They also returned at the completion of the project to do re-direction of all sprinkler heads.

Based on suggestions from neighbors and our condo association, we obtained detailed estimates for a lawn irrigation system from 2 local contractors. Called both for more details and to discuss options. Better response by Sarasin and better credentials resulted in their being chosen. Their office staff is very responsive and Bob Sarasin (owner) came to the house twice to answer questions and demonstrate the how and why of their design for our system. We upgraded several system components based on his suggestions and set a date for the install (9/21). A crew of 3 (including the owners) arrived early on the 21st, went over the installation details, and finished the job in about 7 hours. It seemed to us to be a challenging job considering the tree roots encountered and the somewhat odd shape on the lot, but Sarasin assured us it was routine for them. The system has 4 zones, 14 heads and a sophisticated controller. Bob set up the system and gave us a detailed demonstration on how to use the controls. Result are excellent i.e. complete coverage with the correct type of heads for the areas being irrigated. They returned for a follow-up visit to check the system and adjust one head at our request. They have also sent us a postcard to scheduled us for winter shutdown on 11/1. In summary, we are very pleased and recommend Sarasin highly.

Overall we were very satisfied with the entire experience.
Description of Work: Bob Sarasin returned my call the same day and set up and appointment to do a quote. He arrived on time, completed the quote and spent time explaining how he would do the job. We agreed and he set up an installation date. The installation was done as agreed and at the price quoted. Bob Sarasin spent time with us explaining the system and did the initial programming.
