This is the 2nd project we have done with Jason and the end result was above and beyond our expectations. This project was pretty laborious; the basement was a full gut job, building out a new full bathroom, living space, kitchenette, 4th bedroom, mudroom, and laundry room. Additionally, we converted our house from oil to gas, upgraded all our plumbing, added modern electrical, and brought the rest of our house up to code re: wired smoke detectors and insulation. Jason seamlessly handled all of these moving parts. From the beginning, Jason provided an incredibly thoughtful and detailed estimate and contract of work to be done. This thorough preparation kept us on time and on budget. Any modification or change was always promptly communicated. As first time home owners, we truly value finding such a trustworthy and reliable contractor. We look forward to more future projects with Jason and his team!

Jason Foley is incredibly difficult to work with. He cannot take feedback. He set expectations very high which is why we hired him in the first place. Those expectations matched our requirements. He consistently made unilateral decisions in direct conflict with those expectations. Jason talked a great game at the first meeting taking notes along with photos yet failed to execute. We agreed and approved of specifics and he delivered something different which multiple times had to be redone. Jason is terrible at taking feedback and listening. When confronted on any issues he became reactive and insulting along with blaming us for his obvious mistakes and oversights. He's overbooked with clients and scolded us when simply asked when he would return to continue working on the project. Jason had no issues pointing out to us he had “other important projects” and we needed to wait our turn. This was odd to us -- upon interviewing him we discussed how we fit into his schedule and how he managed his time/other projects. Jason told us he had seven teams to handle all of his projects. What a disaster. He only showed up 51% of the available work hours based on an 8-hour workday over a five-week time frame. We had to move out of our home for the project and during the first three weeks only about a day of work was actually performed. Had we known we would have delayed the start and reduced the time required for the project. While I was giving him feedback, Jason was offended (again) and he quit our project leaving us with a mess. When I tried sourcing a glass shower door, Jason had blackballed us with a local glass supplier - C&D Glass in Acton, MA. Jason threatened to take away his business from C&D Glass if they sold a shower door to us..C&D Glass (a company we dealt with for 25+ years) gave in and refused our business stating a “conflict of interest”. Who does stuff like this? It's like 8th grade at the lunch table. At one point my wife and I were on a phone call with him while he was driving and he called another driver an extremely vulgar term which I will not repeat here. It was over the top and a complete overreaction, unprofessional at the least. He's a real hothead. I would never hire him again and strongly suggest the same to others.

Description of Work: Cosmetic work in two bathrooms. The work was well done, however, I found them very difficult to work with...often unresponsive to email, phone calls or texts.

We hired Jason for our kitchen and laundry room remodel. We completely gutted both rooms down to the studs. We had already hired a couple of sub-contractors for the project and did some of the work ourselves (gutting, insulating and painting). Jason was great and walked us through all the steps for a full kitchen remodel from obtaining a building permit down to the last coat of paint. He answered all our questions and gave great advice when necessary. He always responded promptly with any questions or concerns we had throughout the project. He gave us great tips on where to go for picking out fixtures, type of insulation to purchase and tiling for the floor and back splash. We used a couple of his sub-contractors and were very pleased with the results. He went above and beyond the scope of work to be performed. Our laundry room was measured incorrectly by the kitchen company we ordered the cabinets through and he worked with us and them to ensure the laundry room was functional and that we would be happy with the end result. This delayed the completion of the project by several weeks and when the laundry room was ready to be finished he fit us in to his already busy schedule to get the project done. Jason is easy to work with, he has a great eye for detail and his craftsmanship is top notch. We absolutely love our new kitchen and laundry room and know a big part of this was due to his quality of work and we wouldn?t hesitate to use his services again.

Jason is very pleasant to work with. Very responsive and always friendly, so are his crew. cost of materials was not included in the price, we purchased them ourselves. WE LOVE our new bathroom. This was not the cheapest nor the most expensive quote we got but we liked his personality and his professionalism. He had excellent references from the community as well. The bathroom seems to be of great quality and he made sure things were done right as far as we can tell, going above and beyond what we expected in some instances, such as fixing the window crank in the shower so it worked again. and adding a new baseboard of tile to match the floor, a nice surprise that looks so much better than the original plan of just putting the wood ones back on. we wanted something we could live with for a few years until we could afford to add a master bath, but its so nice now, i think that won't be a problem! Everything was always cleaned up and ready for use when he left for the day, drop clothes were used leading out to the door. this did take almost twice as long as originally estimated, but i think that was due to waiting for inspections. I would highly recommend him to friends or family.

He is very attentive, patient, understanding, cooperative, and helpful. He always dealt with concerns without a fuss. He does excellent work. Very easy to contact and always made time to discuss any issues. If I ever became rich and price wasn't an issue I would go to him again without a second thought. His prices seem high and are non-negotiable. Quality was most important to me on this job. Cleanup - he could do a little more to prevent the spread of dust which spread throughout the house. I would recommend plastic doorway barriers But he did make reasonable efforts to keep things neat and always left things "usable" and neat when he left. I would highly recommend him to affluent people who could afford to pay for quality.
Description of Work: Complete gut of existing bathroom, knock down of walls to expand bathroom, addition of a doorway in an existing wall, rerouting of plumbing in the concrete foundation, and remodeling of new space into a nice bathroom. $33,000 including supplies.
