Response from Stealth Construction
This is very surprising I remember this phone call from my secratary and this person was very rude on the phone and refused to accept any appointment times we had. We do limit our appointment hours to 1-2 days a week due to the fact that we are a small buisness and as the owner I have to supervise all our jobs and visit with all new cleints. We do our best to accommadate everyone and for the most part everyone understands and are happy to be speaking to the owner and not a salesman.

Guys were great. Felt very comfortable with them. They came by to do a quote within a week. Would like to hire them for something, but their quotes are not competitive. I ended up finding another painter to paint the porch, sand, and stain the deck for $850.
Description of Work: Asked them to quote the cost to re-paint the peeling walls of my front porch. Quoted me $975.

Fantastic experience from the first meeting with Rob through to the final city inspection. Rob was very helpful in brainstorming ideas for the kitchen to add functionality and make it appear bigger. The quality of work was excellent; the project was on time and on budget and there were no surprises throughout the six week remodel. Stealth gave me a timeline of when I needed to order and have delivered the cabinets, tile, appliances, etc. so materials I was responsible for were on site and the crew didn't have to wait for them. The crew was great - friendly, respectful, and did an amazing job of cleaning up at the end of each day so living through the construction was bearable. I highly recommend Stealth and would not hesitate to use them again for another project.
Description of Work: Complete kitchen remodel - gutted down to the studs, sub-flooring, and took down the ceiling. Framed in new window, removed old coil radiator and replaced with under cabinet heating, new electrical wiring, minor changes to plumbing. Installed drywall, plaster, cabinets, recessed lighting appliances, new doors. Laid new floor tile, backsplash tile, painted and stained ceilings, walls, woodwork.

Entire job was excellent. The quote was reasonable. The job started and finished on time. Workers were very courteous and cleaned up well as work proceeded. Workmanship was excellent, especially on matching existing window trim.

Overall, we were very happy with Stealth. The crew was respectful and courteous, and both Rob and Jeff were very responsive in calling us back, a rarity in the construction business, I ve found. They were very good about cleaning up, and they even landscaped the backyard at the end. The quality of the finished project is excellent. Stealth was on schedule--the only delay in the project came from the cabinet people. Our only complaint would be that we received about $4,000 in change orders over the course of the project, many of which probably could have been anticipated in the original quote, but in the grand scheme of things, we are very pleased with the work.
Description of Work: We had our kitchen completely remodeled, down to the studs. The project included a small (about 4x7) addition to square off the room, the addition of a full bath, and demolition of the old deck and the addition a new composite one. The entire project took 15 weeks.

Originally I thought I would need a contractor AND a roofer to solve this problem. Luckily, Rob's team does it all. He arrived soon after I informed him of the ongoing water damage and hoped for my sake that faulty sealing around the deck posts were the problem. His guess was correct and his team fixed the problem in one afternoon. They removed a corner of drywall at the ceiling inside the house to air out the wall and after a few rains and no leaks, the team returned to replace the two deck boards, fix the ceiling, repaint the bathroom, and touch up the stained areas in the bedroom. This also took less than a day. Robert continues to honor his word and his judgement is terrific. I have recommended Stealth to many friends who not only use them, but also pass along their card to others.
Description of Work: A leaky deck was causing water damage to the ceiling in a first floor bedroom and bathroom. Stealth diagnosed the problem, repaired the leaky roof, replaced the decking, and did touch up painting inside.

Robert Leal did a walk-through of our house offering solutions for our storage needs and giving us good advise on how to quickly and less expensively provide mirrors for seven bathrooms. He sent a contract, but I added to the work as they went along, preferring these perfectionists hang some of our heavier artwork, so was charged the hourly rate for those extra things. The final bill was approximately what I expected and certainly cheaper than if I had used a "closet company." We will use Robert again to finish part of our basement and to do some painting.
Description of Work: Stealth Construction is fantastic. Robert Leal is a very considerate contractor, offering us a number of options to make six closets better and to hang and design mirrors for seven bathrooms. His team is efficient and polite, and arrived and finished the job quickly. They left my rooms spotless and although four of them were in the house working, they never interrupted the routine here.
They gave an estimate, sent a contract and performed the job promptly and efficiently. With one exception all of the workers arrived on time. Two of the days were bitterly cold and despite this they sawed the materials in the front yard and carried blueboard and wood up to the third floor. The room was left clean each of the three days they worked. I talked with the foreman about another job - changing half-bath to whole bath. Despite several requests, no one ever called back. A neighbor who called them about a new bathroom never received a response. Perhaps they are not able to handle larger projects. Also we had a snow removal contract and they didn't show up in the last storm. Would love to give them a good recommendation but can't figure out what happened to them.
Description of Work: They built a new 4 foot closet on the third floor and the closet went up to the 8 foot ceiling. A three foot bi-fold door was installed and a shelf was built. The carpentry, plastering and painting were excellent.

WE ARE VERY CAPABLE OF HANDLING MUCH LARGER PROJECTS BUT IN THIS CASE THE BATHROOM PLACEMENT WOULD REQUIRE A DRAWING WHICH THE CUSTOMER COULD NOT PROVIDE. WE COULD NOT OFFER AN ESTIMATE WITHOUT KNOWING THE SPECIFICS OF WHAT THE JOB WOULD REQUIRE. I WISH WOULD COULD OF BEEN OF MORE HELP.

THIS WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE FOR US. WE FOUND THE ENTIRE STEALTH CONSTRUCTION TEAM TO BE PROFESSIONAL, SKILLED, CONSIDERATE, PROMPT, THOUGHTFUL IN THEIR APPROACH, AND HAVE VERY HIGH, EXACTING STANDARDS. EVEN WHEN ONE THING DIDN'T QUITE GO AS PLANNED, THEY PRO-ACTIVELY WORKED WITH US TO COME UP WITH A GOOD SOLUTION. EVERY DAY THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO ENSURE THAT WE WERE HAPPY (NOT JUST SATISFIED) WITH THE RESULTS OF THEIR WORK. WE GOT ONE OTHER ESTIMATE FOR OUR KITCHEN REMODEL, AND ALTHOUGH WE SPENT JUST A LITTLE MORE MONEY (PROBABLY ABOUT 10% OR 15% MORE) TO HIRE STEALTH CONSTRUCTION, WE GOT MUCH BETTER RESULTS AND A MORE COMPLETE JOB, INCLUDING NEW WALLS, FLOORING, AND ADDITIONAL LIGHTING. IN THE END, WE ARE MUCH HAPPIER WITH THESE RESULTS THAN WE WOULD HAVE BEEN WITH THE OTHER COMPANY.
Description of Work: A COMPLETE REDO OF A KITCHEN. EVERYTHING STRIPPED DOWN TO THE STUDS, THEN NEW PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL, WALLS, CABINET INSTALLATION, FLOORING WAS PUT IN. THEY TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING (AND THEIR PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL SUBS) EXCEPT FOR THE COUNTERTOPS.
