Excellent, very thorough

I own several vacation rentals on Nantucket. I was not aware that the lead paint laws apply to short term vacation rentals as well as year round rentals, until I had an issue this summer. Out of the three lead inspectors I contacted, Tom Cosco of Northeast Lead Inspections was the only one that would travel to Nantucket. Tom arranged to come out two days after our initial conversation. Never having been through a lead inspection before, Tom took the time and explained the entire inspection process. He also informed me of various deleading methods that can be used to achieve compliance. Some were more expensive than others, some were less permanent and less expensive.He went over the pros and cons of each. Tom was able to complete the inspections the same day and he emailed me the lead reports the following afternoon. Overall Tom was a pleasure to work with. He was punctual, very professional and had a passion for what he was doing. I would highly recommend Tom Cosco and Northeast Lead inspections.

Tom was great, thought he was going to run a little late because of traffic, called me well in advance to let me know, but was still early. He was fast, prompt, and did his work in a very professional manner. Would recommend Tom highly to anyone interested in having lead paint testing done.

I found Tom through a friend after years of using multiple lead inspectors. I was always changing inspectors for multiple reasons including not showing up, unexpected price changes, lack of professionalism etc. Tom has been a breath of fresh air for me. Extremely professional. I've used Tom on over 30 units so far and i have zero complaints. He's very respectful and does exactly what he says he will. He has saved me a lot of money by being honest. The main thing for me was feeling like he was working with me and not against me. I work with contractors from all trades everyday and Tom is the one i never have to worry about. Tom was great to work with. I was in the process of house which I intended to rent so I needed to know if there was lead or not. I had a very tight schedule and Tom was extremely flexible. Tom tested all the outside surfaces and then waited almost an hour for the seller to arrive and let us in to test the inside of the house. I was worried the entire time that he would leave but he didn't. He did find some lead-thankfully not too much- and told me about what I needed to do. I hope I don't need this service again but if I do I'll give Northeast Lead Testing a call.
