M&N Cleaning Service

First few times, M&N sent a team of 4. Four people for one hour = $30/person/hour. Fine, standard team number and charges, and they did a good job. A few visits later the team numbered only 3. I required no additional services, but the charge of $120/hour remained the same. I thought this was just a temporary decrease ... but not so, and Neilson never at any point offered to make up the difference. On Friday 7/29 only 2 women showed up. Again, my requirements had not changed — and neither had the charge. Two people for one hour at $120 = $60/person, which is TWICE THE GOING RATE, AND TOTALLY OUTRAGEOUS, and for no reason that had anything to do with my needs. Perhaps this escalation in cost maybe reflected Neilson's need to fund his many trips back and forth to visit his family in Brazil. When I complained, he told me that I live in the middle of Boston [this was hardly a secret from the get-go] and that it was hard to find parking [again, no secret, but he also told me he was working for a few other clients, so ...] and that he had had to pay a lot of parking tickets. I responded that before I retired I had been in business for 46 years, that as far as I was concerned parking tickets represented part of his costs of doing business, and that I was in no way responsible for covering these costs. Further, when pressed, he was unwilling, shall we say, to give me a written agreement on costs and the number of workers he would send. So I fired him. I would strongly suggest that any potential clients either be independently wealthy and not mind overpaying for M&N's services, or that they try to get an agreement in writing so that they do not come away feeling like I do, which is cheated.

Neilson and Maria are very nice. They showed up promptly on Friday morning at 8:15am and greeted my two dogs. Great job they cleaned my entire house 2 bedrooms, livingroom, kitchen and bathroom. Polished my hardwood floors. Kitchen and bathroom spotless. I was very happy. We have scheduled MN Cleaning now to come biweekly to clean. It was so nice to come home from work to a clean house. I would recommend them.

It was fine. They said four hours and it was only two because there were two people.

Maria has been working at our house for several years and we are always pleased with the quality of the service. I recommend Maria for a reliable and complete housecleaning service.
