Exterior Edson and his team did a great job on our exterior paint job. They worked well with 3 sets of homeowners, helped us select the best paint colors, and had a real attention to detail. We had a young child there and they were cautious about the removal of old paint so as to mitigate lead paint exposure. They treated our home with respect. They worked with 3 different paint colors and our house is definitely the prettiest on the block. We get compliments all the time. We'd use them again. Interior Kitchen Edson worked on our kitchen remodel. We were on a tight budget and he worked within it. A year later I can say it looks as good as the first day. I really wanted to use no VOC paints and he was supportive in my decision and helped me find the most appropriate paints for the cabinets so that they would last. He even did a sample with a paint brush v. sprayer to give me a sense. His team gave a real attention to detail, going above and beyond and skimcoating our walls so that everything looked perfect. Everything has held up extremely well and we are very satisfied. We would use Edson again in a heartbeat for any paint jobs interior or exterior.

ESP provided better service than I could have imagined. They were on time, the price was very reasonable. There were no false promises as with painters that I have used in the past and the crew did work that I wasnt even expecting them to do. Pros: on time everyday thorough preparation done with care and attention to detail the paint job looks great, a few people have stopped by to comment what a great job they did clean-up was as thorough as possible communication was easy as could be Cons: none- we are completely satisfied and will definitely use again for our next paint job HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

We have been so grateful and impressed with the professionalism and dedication of Edson and his staff. Our contractor is quite detail oriented and has complimented the crew on their attention to detail. Edson is a great guy to work with who sticks to his commitments and his schedule. We feel we are getting a great value for the work they are doing. We highly recommend them and look forward to completing our project with them.

Our condo association collected 5 quotes some on Angie's List, some not. Ultimately, we chose ESP Painting Inc on Angie's List. The reviews from other clients helped in our search. Ours was a large job, requiring copies of Certificates of General Liability and Workers? Compensation Insurance documentation. We needed carpentry done to replace rotted window and door trim and an inspection of places too high for us to find. ESP did not do this work, but recommended a company who gave us a quote, came the next day and did excellent work. The ESP crew was large ensuring the job was completed in a timely fashion, making use of sunny days. Their work force worked long days. They were patient as our small association tried many color schemes to decide on a new color palette. When a concern was raised, they quickly resolved it. To avoid needing to back out of the garages when the crew were on ladders, we parked on the street. They covered the cars with large plastic bags when they were painting near the cars. At the end of the job, upon inspection we felt one wall had absorbed the paint differently. They painted it a third coat. We would recommend Edson and his crew to anyone. This was a big job done right and on time. They were a fantastic company to work with. Rarely can you find the combination of high quality workmanship, professionalism and responsiveness. ESP has it.

They never got back to us with any estimate. He was very nice when he came out, but never hearing back from him was not good. I would never use him. The experience was not good, because I never heard from him again. It was very disappointing. They can't be too professional, if they don't respond.

Overall a fantastic experience. We contacted Edson at ESP to give us a quote and he came out to do the estimate within 2 days. He sent over the quote shortly thereafter and we decided to go with him based on his professionalism, cost, and local reviews. We agreed on a start date and he showed up right on time with his team. The full job took 5 days and Marciano from his team did most of the work. We can't say enough good things about Marciano as well. He was very polite, professional, and paid close attention to detail. For example, we had one side of a door painted a bit of a different color but rethought that decision (our fault, not theirs) after it was done and told Marciano we would just deal with it later. He took it upon himself to re-paint it because he said he knew it would bother us over time. He would even check with us to see if our baby was sleeping before using the vacuum. The house was put back together exactly how it was before they began. We are extremely happy that we chose Edson and ESP Painting and would certainly recommend them for any job.

Edson and his team were terrific. In getting my home ready for sale, I worked with 5 different contractors who each performed different services at my home, and the professionalism and quality of Edson's painting team was far superior to all. They were exceptionally courteous and respectful of the fact that this was my home - not just another work site. I can attest to the fact that having a large-scale interior paint job at your house can be very disruptive and stressful, and Edson's team performed their work with as little interruption as possible. I didn't have to lift a finger - they moved all furniture, etc. and were very clean and organized as they went about their work. The end product was amazing. My home looked brand new again, and we were able to sell it immediately for far more than I would have ever expected. I look forward to using Edson and his team again and would recommend ESP Painting to anyone. They are the best I've ever worked with.

Edson and his team were amazing and I plan to use them again! Very prompt in returning phone calls - came in to give a quote the day after inquiring. He was able to squeeze me in his schedule the following week. Two days before Edson was coming to paint, I asked if he could also paint a wall in addition to the ceiling; he said it wasn't a problem at all (and at a very reasonable price). I had construction done on a wall and needed to paint the wall and the ceiling. He not only painted thewall I asked, but continued to the other connecting two walls (at no extra charge!) to make sure everything matched exactly. Edson and his team were very personable and professional. They stayed late to make sure it was completed in one day. Again, I definitely recommend ESP Painting Inc and plan to use them again!

I highly recommend Edson and his team. I found them on Angie's List, and Edson came by the next day to give me an estimate. He was professional, punctual and thorough -- not to mention very nice! I had about a week's window between receipt of the estimate and when I moved in. Not only was Edson's estimate extremely reasonable when compared to others I received, he completed the entire job in the window I had available. He provided me with regular updates (as I was not on site) and his team were were hardworking and friendly -- they showed me around one day when I stopped in to check on progress. The paint looks fantastic, and the whole process was remarkably painless.

My experience with ESP and Edson Queiroz was awesome from start to finish. I found ESP on Angie's list and contacted Edson based on all the positive feedback posted here. They weren't wrong. I emailed him, since I am at work and pretty busy during the day. I was dreading having to take the time during the day to call people to set up appointments for estimates. Edson responded within 15 minutes! We set an appointment for a Saturday so that neither my husband or I had to miss work and he arrived right on time. We had an estimate within 2 days, he really does well with response time. He took pics of all the rooms, so that he could give us a complete quote and not miss anything. The pricing came back comparable to other painters we got estimates from and we chose Edson based on; his awesome personality, his super fast replies via email and, the fact that his quote was professional and inclusive, so we knew there was no confusion (or awkward moments later) about what work was to be completed. He even scheduled to start for a couple days after we picked the paint color! I was a bit nervous the morning they were supposed to start. I have had a lot of experiences with contractors showing up late and making me late for work. Edson was early! He finished the job in three days he committed to and every day the house was clean and picked up. The work was awesome. His guys do a really nice job and I couldn't be happier with how the rooms look. I feel like I have a whole new kitchen. They didn't miss one crevice or baseboard. I'd use these guys again in a heartbeat!!!

The project was scheduled quickly as we were looking to put the house of the market. Edson was accommodating to get us into his schedule on short notice. The project started on time. It took longer than expected due to rain, but there's nothing you can do about that. Edson did a walkthrough before the job started to confirm all of the work items. Edson did a walkthrough after the job was completed to make sure that we were happy with the results. There were a couple areas that I wanted touched up, and Edson had his guys out that week to take care of those items. Previous to this paint job, we used Edson for several interior paint jobs and we've always been happy with his professionalism, quality, and price.

I did not hear form him for the work. I wanted to hear back from him and his opinion but no response.

Edson, the owner of ESP Painting, showed up early to give us a quote and was able to give us a very accurate estimate approximately five minutes after he'd left, sitting his truck outside the unit. : ) I needed to amend our original schedule and he was extremely accommodating. The painter moved very quickly and did an excellent job. They used top quality paints, the area was clean when I returned, and there was no confusion re paint colors. I wholeheartedly recommend ESP for painting jobs. However, I asked them to also remove the old plastic baseboards and replace them with new ones. ESP contracted out the replacement job to someone who a). called me but did not leave his name or contact information, leaving me hanging when I needed to reschedule; b). installed the baseboards but did not paint them per our spoken agreement; c). managed to break the toilet in the unit (the water was running, and he managed to break the shutoff valve); d). only agreed to paint the baseboards after I pitched a minor fit to Edson (who was very responsive); and e). started texting me for payment A DAY AFTER THE JOB WAS FINISHED. Net 30, anyone? Give me some time to put it in the mail, anyone? Did not dock his compensation for the $200 I had to pay a handyman to repair the toilet, either. So I recommend that you use ESP for paint jobs, but find your own carpenter.

The house came out great. We are very happy with the quality of the work and feel we received a great price. Edson at ESP Painting is a pleasure to work with.

ESP was painting a neighbors house, so we contacted our neighbor and after hearing about how great it was to work with ESP and reading Angie's list reviews, we chose ESP. I contacted Nilson on a Thrusday, he came to my house Friday, got me the quote Saturday, we signed the contract Monday, and he started on a Tuesday. The painter came every dry day, was a pleasure to have at the house, and finished the job in about 3 weeks, which is amazing given the rainy weather. The house looks amazing, we are constantly getting compliments.

Edson and his team are extremely professional and nice. I contacted him 5 days before I wanted our big job (basically repainting the entire apartment) to start, and gave him 7 days to complete the work before he moved in. Even though it was busy season for Edson (June), he fitted us into his schedule, quoted us $4,400, far less than other painters that we had reached, and seemed very easy to work with. He started with his team on the day he said he would and ultimately met our deadline even though we kept adding new things here and there. Once he was working with us, his prices for our additional work were also extremely competitive - in the end we paid him another $2,600 to paint a lot of other things, including (non-exhaustive list) 3 more rooms, 1 fireplace, 1 shelf/cabinet, trimming and repainting a door, painting crown moldings and baseboard in one the rooms, painting stripes in a bathroom, etc. Incredibly, Edson decided to throw in a free room - "as a gift to our children" - even though his prices were already so competitive. I was almost worried he wouldn't be making any money on us! Edson and his team were extremely pleasant to have in the house and we could tell they were hard workers. Edson himself is an excellent painter and works harder than anyone on his team - he often stayed till midnight to ensure he could remain on schedule. His team is good but we had to ask Edson to have them correct a number of small mistakes: paint drops here and there, paint on trims in some cases, second coat a little too light. Edson was very professional and service-oriented and made sure everything was exactly as expected before he took off for good with his team. His team was extremely clean and left our apartment in fantastic condition. We are very happy with the service provided and will use Edson in the future for interior and exterior painting jobs. On a side note, he was able to recommend to us an electrician friend of his who provided as amazing a service and as great a value to us. I highly recommend Edson and ESP Painting.

My husband and I own a condo that we use as a rental property. We were in between tenants and wanted to spruce up the condo before showing to prospective tenants -- the walls were painted by our last tenants and by us previously, so we thought the best way to make the place shine would be a great paint job in a neutral color. The problem is that we really wanted to get the condo on the market ASAP. Enter Angie's list. We reached out to about 5 painters and Edson was the first painter to get back with me. In the end, we had two quotes and his was slightly less expensive so we decided to go forward with ESP Painting. I'm happy we did! In just over a week, we went from quote to a fully painted space! The work included all trim, ceilings, doors, and walls of our four room, 800 square foot condo. They even went ahead and painted the interior of all of the closets because they were scuffed. Fabulous extra value. The work is really fantastic -- I even told my husband, "Wow! I kind of wish we lived here again!" The best part is that Edson brought in a bigger crew and finished the work faster than anticipated (just three days!) so that we could get the condo on the market ASAP. I really appreciated that thinking. Great service! I will be calling ESP Painting again when we want to paint our current home.

Edson's team was very professional. They were punctual and never left a mess. I was a bit disappointed that I had to have them come back to touch up some things that I instructed them to do at the beginning so you definitely need to check their work. However, Edson was happy to fix the mistakes.

This is our opinion but please take note. Without exception - ESP Painting is the best contractor we have ever used for any work in our house. Quality, attention to detail, professionalism, clean-up, demeanor and exceptionally fair pricing are all attributes of this company. We received 4 bids from Angie's List A-rated companies. Immediately we knew ESP was the company for us. During the house visit, Edson explained the process, took pictures of everything and made it clear he wanted our business. We received ESP's bid when he said we would and they could do the work when we wanted it done. Initially, ESP's price was not the lowest. Thru one round of negotiations, their price came in the best and we were happy because we liked them the best! My husband and I work all the time so we never met the workmen. We only met Edson. Regardless, our house was clean every evening, most items moved to the garage. By way of this review I want to personally thank Edson and his crew for taking such good care of our house and making it new again. I hope that everyone chooses ESP. That is how strongly we feel.

I researched Angie's List for interior painters with "A" ratings. I chose 3 companies to get free estimates from. ESP Painting was one of them. Edson responded quickly to my inquiry and scheduled a convenient time for me for him to perform the estimate. Edson answered all my questions thoroughly. He was very friendly and professional. After choosing ESP Painting, Edson was able to book me in to do the work the following week. All of Edson's workers were outstanding. Most of the work was done by Josen and Anderson, who were superb. They were very proficient, friendly, and were always willing to answer any questions I had while they were working. The job took 3 days to complete. They were very neat, cleaning up the work area each day before they departed. I was completely satisfied and happy with the job they did.

We bought a new ( to us ) house and painted almost all the ceilings and walls ourselves, but our 2.5 story foyer walls and ceiling needed painting and as it is an open second floor balcony the ceilings for half of it were 21' high and partially over the stairs that have landing and turn 90 degrees a third of the way up which we are ill-equipped to reach, we decided to hire a painter We solicited estimates from 3 different, well reviewed, painting companies from Angie's List during the first couple of weeks of August (all of whom were very professional and I really would have hired any one of them). Each company offered the same services - 2 coats of Benjamin Moore paint, minor repair of any nail holes in walls, caulk around trim as necessary, remove & reinstall all switch & plug plates. I decided that since they all had told me they were scheduling a couple/few weeks out toward the end of August and they were all within $100 of each other for estimates, the person that could come and paint first would get the work. When I called on the week of August 13th, ESP said they could start that Friday. so they got the job. As we had a BBQ planned for Sat 8/18 we decided to start the work on Monday 8/20. Despite a lost e-mail about the paint color (I blame my iPhone as it never showed as sent in my yahoo mail like sent mail normally does) ESP showed up at the agreed upon time on Monday 8/20, we quickly discussed exactly what was to be painted to confirm everyone was on the same page and knew the criteria for a successful outcome. After that, they covered all the floors and railings with drop cloths and got to work. As described in their estimate, they caulked along the trim where needed, filled the nail hole I missed ( I had moved a switch box and fixed a 5' long settling crack so I tried to fill all the nail holes as well before they arrived, but missed one.) They painted the ceiling first which took the better part of the first day and then started painting the walls. At the end of the first day they cleaned up all ladders, paint, and equipment. They were even going to remove all the drop clothes but I told them they could leave them in place overnight as they weren't bothering us - it is a hallway after all - and save themselves some setup time the next day. On the second day the remainder of the walls were painted with the first coat of paint and then the second coat of paint was also completed. They also, at our request, cleaned up some extra gobs of caulk on the top of the baseboard in the corners. The finger wiping method from the day before didn't meet my level of near-OCD-like pickiness. They also kindly dusted the window sills of the 2nd story picture window. As only my wife was home when they finished, they gave us the night to jointly inspect the job before they collected payment the next day. That night, the only thing we found was that they had done an absolutely fantastic job. (A couple days later, I did find a couple small wisps of paint on the top edge of the brass handrail brackets where the brush had touched it lightly, but it scraped right off with a fingernail.) We are absolutely thrilled with how the paint job came out and would definitely use ESP Painting again as well as recommend them to anyone looking for a painter. It was a very easy, stress free experience throughout the whole process and everyone was very friendly, smiling, polite, and personable. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

Edson visited our Somerville project & generated a rough quote on site. I told him what our budget was & he worked within it, and also accomodated our need to start immediately. Erivan & Samuel painted for a week, and did amazing work. They had real pride in their work, and even caulked areas that we said they didn't need to worry about, because Erivan is obsessive about doing things correctly. They were painting in rooms with newly refinished floors, and they used drop-cloths & tape everywhere to prevent any roller-spray from landing on the flooring. Erivan & Samuel were fun guys to have around the house. Erivan is almost religious about doing things correctly, and it shows in the finish.

The project got delayed by a couple of weeks due to bad weather, but once the work started they came in in and finished it in 3 days. The quality is good, they painted all details exactly as we asked them to and left the site clean after it was finished. Nothing got damaged in the process. We are very happy with the results. We have done our home work with colors, so there was no need to get any color advise.

This was my introduction to Angie's list, and I'll be using it again. ESP was a top-rated painting company and the work done was first class. All work was completed professionally, with extremely high quality. And, team members did a thorough job of clean up each day, including vacuuming rooms on which they worked. What I appreciated more than anything was the methodical way in which work was done. There was no rushing, and Edson's team worked on rooms until the work was done correctly. All of this was done for a very reasonable price.

Our experience with ESP was very good. We received 2 other quotes but ESP's was the best. Edson was very responsive when I had questions. The team, sometimes 3 men, were professional and quiet. They completed the project in 3 days. Everything looks great! We're pleased with their work and will contact them for a quote on our next project.
