+ 0 moreThe detector malfunctioned and was making a short beeping sound every minute. I contacted Derek through Angie's list late one evening and he called and emailed me first thing the following morning. I described the problem to him and he knew exactly what was wrong. He explained the MA state laws for combo detectors, he found and ordered a new detector then came and replaced the detector on a Saturday morning as scheduled. During the process while he was trying to locate a replacement detector, he kept in touch and let me know the status. When the detector arrived, he sent me a text message to confirm he received it and confirmed the appointment. Derek was prompt, courteous and professional.
Description of Work: Replaced a smoke/carbon monoxide detector that is hard wired with a battery back-up.

+ -1 moreDerek was prompt to respond, especially when he heard that this was a potential safety hazard (the problem being the smoke detectors). I appreciate that he replies to his e-mails quickly - it's so much easier than playing phone tag! He's extremely friendly, efficient in his work but happy to take the time to explain everything that he was doing, and very accommodating as far as meeting times were concerned. When a smaller, related issue arose the following week, he was able to stop by at a time that was convenient for me.
Description of Work: Derek replaced a circuit breaker which was connected to the smoke detectors in the three family house that I live in.
