they did a good job but had to return to grind out the stump. it was an extensive stump and required quite a bit of time. they were good about cleaning up the remaining debris.

This was the first time I have used this company. I found the service to be professional and the people were always on time from the sales rep all the way to the crew. I found the people to be pleasant to deal with. I was originally scheduled to have my job performed on a Monday. Due to the heavy rains and wind storm damages they had to cancel due to overload in emergencies. They rescheduled me for the following Saturday between 7:30 AM - 8 AM time block. The crane, chipper, crew and owner were at my home at 7:10 AM. Amazing in the sense most contractors do not like to work the weekends. I was impressed with that fact. In three and half to four hours they removed eight large white pine trees and one birch tree. It was the most amazing event I have ever seen. With their four axle, 120 ton crane the were able to do the job with ease and efficiently. The operator of the crane was the owner. He sure knew what he was doing along with man hooked to crane with his chain saw ready to cut the tall trees in sections. Most importantly they did the job carefully and were very safe with my property. The removal of trees was excellent and I felt I was in good hands. The job went smoothly without any issues. For the most part they cleaned up after themselves. However, there were some remaining debris. But, eventually they took care of it. On Monday they sent their stump grinder. Originally, they were suppose to grind four stumps but the operator made in error in judgement and grinded a wrong stump. I called the Mayer indicating one of the stump grinded was not the one indicated on the list as mentioned. They immediately sent their guy out at 7:20 AM first thing Tuesday morning to correct the oversight. Overall, I am pleased to have used Mayer and would definitely call them back in the future should I require to have more trees be removed.

Large pine tree down across my drive way. They were my first call. They came about 3 hours later and removed the tree. When the first guy showed up the tree had uprooted itself. I specifically told him I wanted to get rid of the whole thing. He originally gave me a price of $950 then "reduced it to $800", because I am a "good customer". They cut the tree so that I could get out of the driveway and came back a couple days later to remove the branches, and they did not do a good job of that. When I called to ask when the stump would be removed they said that was an extra $130. Make no mistake about this. Mayer takes full advantage of you in an emergency situation.

Called for emergency service. They said they would call me right back. Waited and waited and waited, but never heard from them.

These guys are fantastic. Jeff came and did the estimate; he was coureous and knowledgeble, and a good communicator. Throughout the process I had questions or needed reassurance, and he always promptly returned my calls and was informative and friendly. The crew came promptly, were very courteous. They removed an old wood pile when I asked. My neighbor was concerned about ruts in his yard and they put down planks to drive on. They asked me how I wanted the trees and were concerned that the work match my expectations. There was a week between cutting the trees and grinding the stumps to allow Dig Safe to come in, a delay I had not expected. When they were finished all waste was removed and the yards looked great. I was completely happy with them.

They were excellent. They did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to.

They were on time and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves. They were very professional. The price was good; better than the other companies.

They were here on time, early actually. They did the work pretty quickly and efficiently. I feel that their prices were reasonable.

They have communication issues. One person was sent to the site and another person heads the job.

They did an excellent job and it was amazing to watch them. I would rate them very highly on everything. They were very personable and friendly. They showed up on time and they cleaned up very well after themselves.

They did a great job. I would hire them again.

Foreman arrived at 8 AM to confirm the trees to be removed/pruned. 2 workmen arrived about 11:00 and by 12:45 it was like they were never here. The 2 yews were so overgrown that no one knew that they were really 3, each with a 6 to 8 inch trunk. They soon fell to the chainsaw. One wild cherry was growing into the power-lines to the house so it was removed with care. The other cherry and the poplar were both hard against the fence line and Mayer removed everything that went into the neighbor's yard, including raking the leaves that came down from the tree.

The crew from Mayer promptly removed the tree as scheduled, and as promised they left the wood neatly cut into 18 inch stumps for me to use as firewood. Last year we used them for a bigger job (about $1000 for 3 trees) and they came out the morning before a blizzard and finished the job well at that time also. Scheduling the job with them was very easy.

These guys are great and can do big jobs as well.

They did really good work. They said they were going to leave us with a load of fire wood but they never did. They didn't wreck any bushes or my yard. They were quick, it only took them a day.

They used a crane to remove a extremely large tree and surrounding trees that had a risk of falling on my home. Their clean up was great! They did not damage lawn. The other companies that gave me estimates were more expensive and did not have the proper equipment. I recommend them to everyone!

The work was excellent and they did a very nice job. We hired them during the winter and they got snowed out a few times but they came out as soon as they could after the snow. They were very careful about taking out the trees, especially by my house so I was happy with the work they did.

I plan to use them again. They were superb.

Mayer tree service responded right away and called back within a few hours. Jeff came to our house to look over the area and provided us with an estimate that was a few hundred less than a competitor. After we met, we received several calls from the company just checking that we were taken care of. We were away for a month traveling and we had initially prepared for the work to be done while we were away. When we returned, the work had not been done, and when I called the company, they apologized and said they had been swamped, but would send someone out in 3 days. The guys arrived right on time with a cherry-picker truck and a shredder truck up our tiny cul-de-sac. They worked fast and removed the trees (within and hour and half for all work). They also cut down our branches and had me check the area if there was any more I wanted cut while he was up in the cherry picker. There was an extra small, dead tree not originally on my estimate, that they cut down and did not charge me for.
