I found Mayer Tree Service on Angies List.. The salesman, Ken Brown, called within a day and came out to estimate the job and scheduled a date. He called a couple of days before the scheduled date and asked if they could come that day because they were in the neighborhood. I said "great" come ahead. What happened is described above. I have to say, half the neighborhood came out to watch the operation.

Ken and the folks at Mayer Tree are consummate professionals. Prompt, unfailingly polite, and extremely skilled at what they do, I couldn't have asked for more from this project, which involved the removal of six large oak trees, two of which were quite close to the house. The work was scheduled and performed quickly and seamlessly. When one limb accidentally took out the top of a lamp that was hidden by an overgrown burning bush, Ken called to let me know, and they spent a great deal of time trying to locate a comparable quality replacement, which they installed. I'll be calling them for any future tree work without a second thought.

The service we received was excellent. The crew arrived early in the morning and listened to our concerns and explained the process to us. They were very professional and took pride in their work. The prunning allowed for better wind flow during storms with high winds to better prevent major branch loss. We also had a garden in our yard and they were very careful to make sure the branches didn't fall on the garden. When the prunning was done our yard was cleared of all the branches and sticks which saved me from having to clean them. In addition, Mayer Tree Service was very easy to deal with on the telephone. Everyone was helpful and professional. Calls were returned very quickly We highly recommend Mayer Tree Service.

Crew arrived on time and did an impressive job of taking down a very tall tree with climber and crane.

I had a declining sugar maple in my front yard that was close to my house and needed to be removed. I called three companies for estimates and Mayer and another company quoted the lowest price. I went with Mayer based, in part, on the reviews on Angie's List. The tree removal could not have gone better. The crew arrived on time and was professional. They removed the tree and cleaned up the mess. They even laid out big plastic sheets (plastic plywood) to prevent the truck tires from damaging the lawn. There was nothing but some saw dust left on my yard when they finished. Since the tree was where my son waits for the bus I asked if they would cut the stump into a bench so he could sit while waiting and they did make him a handy little seat. I will have them back to trim up an oak in my back yard soon. I would not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends.

It was a very straightforward process: I exchanged a couple of emails with them, and on schedule one of them came assessed the job and gave me a written estimate on the spot. He told me when the crew could come to remove the tree. They did so on time and left the site clean and orderly. They deducted 5% when I mentioned that I found them via Angie's List.

It went great! Rafael was very helpful and he answered all of my questions. I was worried that the equipment would harm my grass however they carefully applied rubber mats for the bucket truck to drive on with no residual harm to the lawn. I will definitely use them again!

They are definitely very knowledgeable. They come when they promise they will. They do not always sell a bunch of stuff that I do not need. They are very open and honest about what the tree needs. They are certified arborist so they know what they are talking about. They have done very well.

They were excellent. What I liked was they knew exactly what they were doing. There were very skilful; their technique was unbelievable. They were just very courteous and they were willing to work with me. They were punctual and responsive despite the obstacles they had to face with all the storms and everything.

They were great. They were very polite, cleaned everything up really well, and checked in with all of the neighbors. I would tell someone to hire them. Everyone on the crew was just fantastic. It was a good experience. Their pricing was just about the same as everyone else's. They responded very quickly and came out when they said they were going to.

Three of 3 trees required a reach of about 100 horizontal feet over a swimming pool and 30-50 feet above a rock ledge. Meyer has advanced equipment and technicians for almost any job. They were responsive, arrived as scheduled, performed the work according to the proposal, cleaned up very well. I am very pleased, even impressed. I recommend them and will use them again.

They arrived on time, took care of all that was required by the job, and cleaned up very nicely.

They quoted me $500 to do services another company only charged $120. Once they came out to give me a bid I couldn't get ahold of them to come and do the job. When I left them a message that I didn't want their services they finally called me right back.

We live in a townhouse complex, so I can't comment on price, responsiveness, or punctuality because I wasn't involved in the estimate or scheduling. However, two of the trees removed were at the corner of our deck so I can comment on the Mayer team's performance. We had concerns about trees being taken down so very close to our deck. They were right at the corner, so close we could touch the trunks. However, we need not have worried. The Mayer team members were obviously professionals and knew what they were doing. Watching them work together was like watching a ballet! The trees came down amazingly quickly. The men were careful to avoid damaging any of the plants in the garden at the base of the trees being removed and the garden about three feet away. After the trees came down, there were small branches scattered about, both in the grass and on the deck. We expected to have to clean them up ourselves. Nope. The men picked up the branches, blew away any small pieces, and cleaned off our deck. We were so impressed with their work that we actually applauded them from the window and then went out on the deck to thank them for their excellent work. We were impressed with their professionalism, speed, and consideration of our property. Well done, Mayer Tree Service!

Very professional, they gave me the estimate at Thanksgiving and were able to complete the work approx. 10 days later.

They showed up very early(arounf 7:45 AM) and worked straight through till noontime. There were a number of trees in various locations and sizes on my property that had to come down. There were only 3 of them doing all the work, but they worked incredibly fast. In addition, they did some trimming work, which required them to stick the boom on the bucket truck over the toip of my house. No problems there as well. By the way they got things done and in the time and for the price. I would recommend them.

It couldn't be better!! The initial response asking for an estimate and evaluation of the work was done promptly and conducted by very friendly and professional people. We received a nice and complete report with estimates and timelines. We agreed on a date for the work but later we wanted to have the work done earlier. We contacted them and they made all possible to have our our work done earlier... And they did it!! The personnel that did the actual work was friendly, on time and very professional. We couln't be happier with the service !! We wouldn't hesitate to contact them if we have any future need that may require their services...

They did a nice job. They are very professional and I was happy with the job. I think they clean up after themselves.

They saw the red ribbons on the trees and figured that I needed them taken down. So, they came out and gave me an estimate. Their quote was higher than the other quotes I had received. The quote was for about $3000. So, I did not use them. They were very responsive, though. They are a big company. The guy was very nice. I am sure that since the business is down, he was trying to get as much business as he could. I will not consider this company in the future because I felt they were expensive.

I was amazed at how this team removed these two large trees. They used state of the art equipment that was able to avoid damaging any property or removing any fence. The crane was operated with precision and the tree removal was very efficient done in approx 2 hours.

My experience with Mayer Tree Service Company was great. The workers were really good. They were right on time. They cleaned up very well. The only thing is that, they did drag some branches through one of my flower beds that killed it. It wasn’t seriously bad and I realized that the workers didn’t do it on purpose. I thought their price was very good; I was very happy with it. The quality of the work was great. They were very responsive. The owner came back when the workers were finishing up the job to make sure that it was satisfactory. I thought that was very good of him. They had big trucks and equipments; it is not a small job that they do. So, I thought they did real good. I would use them again in the future.

We called them to get a quote on the needed service. They came out, did a walk around with us and gave us an estimate. The work was completed as promised, no mess left behind. Very happy overall.

They did a great job. The work done was very nice and clean. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

They made quick work of the job, and also showed us some places where the old maple tree had been poorly trimmed, which is one of the reasons it is not thriving at this point. They brought in their cranes to access some of the higher limbs and manage the takedown of a some of the larger dead wood. (One caution: they did work to minimize damage to the lawn, but there was one spot where they basically had to run over the shrubs in one corner of the house to get the crane in - there's no way to be dainty with some of the big gear, and we needed an excuse to get rid of that old shrub anyway.) They even left some of the wood for us to use in our fireplaces. It wasn't cheap, but it was something that couldn't have been done by me, that's for sure. We plan to keep using them in an effort to keep the remaining trees as healthy as we can over the coming years.
