Great, was able to get the 3 appliances we needed at a competitive rate and an outstanding warranty.

I have used GW Toma as my appliance store purchase and repair for many years. They have provided me with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, etc. In fact, when my old refrigerator died, they brought me a new one the same day. What a relief. Last summer I installed a new kitchen and called Valerie at Toma -- bought everything over the phone. I have shopped with them since 1990 and the kicker is that I have yet to step foot in any of their stores.

Good company to work with - reliable, helpful, personable

This was my second time using this company for appliance replacement, and each time the process went off very well, frompoint of sale through delivery, no problems whatsoever. Would highly recommend this company.

First, the delivery staff there are amazing. They are so careful with your house, the appliance, taking out the old one, etc. They were polite, and there wasn't even the tiniest scratch or ding anywhere. A huge difference from another major appliance place I tried first. The salesman was respectful, worked within what I wanted and my budget and helped find all rebates and sales available. They also do their own repairs. Haven't needed to use it yet, but that was another valuable service with this company as many major appliance places have outsourced their repairs.

the first dishwasher was damaged in transit but in two or three days a new dishwasher was installed.

We used the Brockton location. We went to Toma and picked out our machines and they were delivered/installed as agreed. They had very good selection and price was competitive for someone very knowledgeable about the products they sell and service.

They are very reliable and they're honest. It's a family owned business. I've been doing business with them for the past 21 years. They are very good. They have a warranty they provide which I would recommend because if anything ever goes wrong they come out without a question and repair it. They don't give you any trouble for the repairs process. Their prices are a little higher but it's worth it for the service you get and the warranties they offer. They deliver free of charge as well. They've been in business for over 50 years and they send you a thank you card follow-up and make sure that everything is going well, which you don't get with some of the big chains. They are very accommodating with their visits and will give you a call to let you know they are on their way, and will also call you about 3 hours before they arrive as well.

They are very accommodating and didn't rush you, they let you pick what you want and answered all my questions promptly and efficiently. I met the owner also and he thanked me for the business and he was very nice and easy to talk to.

They were superb. Their choice of product, their pricing, their service were good and they installed everything and they took away the old stuff. They are very professional and do a superb job. I would use them again in the future.

They have been around forever and they have a small store feel instead of going to the department store where no one gives a darn about you. They are cheaper than other places.

Had to replace a ten year old machine and found them on Angies's List. Without using our GPS, we never would have found the place coming from Plymouth. Once there, we were immediately helped and due to the comfort level we felt based on the sales person's kowledge, we decided to buy the washer that day. It was delivered two days later and installed in 15-20 minutes.

We have never had sercvice like Toma's service. The are prompt, Knowledgeable and efficient. I recommend them highly. Consumer report says that most appliance will last about 3 years which makes you wonder why we as a whole don't value quality, but Toma is the exception- it speaks quality service> A+

The sales, service and the delivery was fine, but the delivery people who were suppose to connect it didn't know how to connect it. They said that they did know how to connect it, but they didn't connect it right. I needed additional help on that and I had to have the cable company. The cable company had their tech support walk in. When I went back to George Washington Toma and complained, they compensated me for it.

I have always been very impressed by the staff at GWT. The staff is very friendly and I felt I got a good deal on the washer/dryer. I have had to call a few times to schedule delivery, repair, etc. and more often than not, Mr. Toma himself answers the phone. I've always been impressed with that. I recently bought new appliances for my kitchen project and shopped here first. I really wanted to buy Jenn-Air products but they don't sell them. If they had I definitely would have purchased from them. The salesman was very professional and knowledgeable and would call me back within minutes if I had to leave him a vmail. I ended up purchasing my Jenn-Air appliances from Yale Appliance in Dorchester (I have left them a review here on AL) and the things that happened to me at Yale would never have happened at GWT. I have had to have my washer/dryer serviced a couple times and GWT has the best service department I have ever dealt with. The appointment is made for a time that is convenient to me, they call you the day before the appointment to remind you that someone will be coming over to your house and the service guys are polite and professional. I have had several contractors tell me that GWT has the best service department in the business and I absolutely agree with this assessment.

All of the people that worked for them, especially the phone operator, were very professional because they called ahead and scheduled appointments. They also have great follow-up and their pricing was great.

They provided very good in store attention and explanation of options. I ended up going home and using their online site; then selected items and purchased them online. I called them with the model numbers and that worked out well. They set a delivery date, arrived on time and sent competent people. They set everything up. I had a backup in the dishwasher this May of unexplained origin and my repair people at that time could not determine why it was blocked. George Washington's technician repaired it and provided an entirely new soap dispensing unit at no cost when he was setting up my other appliances. They are a company that I would recommend over any other appliance provider for their high quality, timely service and competence. They also are friendly and answer the phone all the time when you deal with them. They make it very easy for their customers to work with them. I will go back to them in the future.

They tried to work on them two times but were never really able to fix them. I'm looking for someone else to give it a go this time.

I purchased it, sight unseen, and they delivered it the next day. 5 years later, the TV is still working great! They are a small, family run business, so I think that makes them more customer attentive. I would not hesitate to call them again for any needs.

The purchasing and installation of this microwave went very well, but after I had it for a few days it turned on by itself so I called the company back. They sent someone over to check it out but I just wanted a different one altogether. They told me they still had to look at it so a worker came and fixed it. A few days later I went back to the store to talk to the manager about it and identified that I just wanted to return the microwave. He said that was fine and had the microwave picked up. When I went in to pick up my new one they were very helpful again and they gave me $100 off because of the trouble. I felt like they followed through with their commitment to the customer. I appreciated it.

I bought several appliances here over several years. They are very good at servicing the stuff under warranty, polite, show up on time. But one of my appliances broke (out of warranty) and I know how to fix them so I went there for a part. They directed me to their 800 number to call for parts delivered overnight. Apparently they do not keep a big parts inventory. Someone answered the line as Toma's. I was curious and asked their location....Buffalo, NY. They were very helpful. Got a price quote of about $90 plus overnight shipping of about $10 from Buffalo Seemed expensive so I checked yellow pages and found that another appliance store had the part for $56. They are in the next town over. I got to wondering about why they just did not send me over to Atlantic. There must be a reason they send you to that 800 number that is in their interest. Very disappointing that they point a loyal original buyer (parts) customers to an expensive solution. I checked that $56 price with a Brockton supplier and it was around $56 there too. The other thing I do not like is that the sales people must be on high comissions. Every time I looked at an appliance and wanted to think about it, or price shop, the sales person told me something like "I am off Tuesdays but we make a deal any other day" I always had the distinct impression that I was locked into whoever first showed me something, something like a car dealer. But if you are not into repair,like to have your own sales person (they seem to stay there a long time) they are a dependable and price competitive company.

We have been pleased about when you go in, they are not super pushy to buy appliances. They are not paid on commission so they are very helpful and relaxed. The owner is almost always there. The service is excellent. If there is a problem with the service they will work to make it right.
