My roof was replaced on three of the hottest days this summer. The crew that showed up worked diligently on the removal, replacement and clean-up. I’m glad the workers are safe. I’m awaiting the GAF inspection and the documentation for my warranty. During the quote process Stephen Flynn of Flynn Roofing Co. evaluated my roof and skylights from the roof top and inside of the attic. His pitch included: “This is my crew; I’m there; I’m on the roof with my crew; I don’t subcontract.” The crew came; but, Stephen Flynn didn’t show up for work or call three days in a row. I expected him to oversee the process and to provide certain services with respect to the project. He wasn’t there. I was home; but, I certainly couldn’t oversee the project from the ground. I wasn’t informed of the extent of rot or water damage. Instead, on the second day I’m asking the crew, “Why is there a broken rafter tail on the finished side?” After a go-around, they agreed to fix it. What else is there that I didn’t see? I asked, “Where’s Stephen?” I presume it was the foreman that replied, “He's busy. He's the only one who gives quotes and gets new jobs.” I spoke with Stephen days after the workers left. No explanation or apology for not contacting me during the job. If he really cared that my yard was being used as a urinal, he could have gotten my feedback during the two and half day process.

Flynn roofing performed all services in proposal for quoted price and did a fast and neat job. Provide high quality service. I reccomend them and would use them again.

They are very good. They did my neighbor's roof. Their quality of work is excellent. The only problem was that they took a while to get started as they were really busy. That was the only negative. They are very good. I would use them in the future.

I wasn't here. They did it while I was away on vacation. The only indication that they'd been here was the new roof and a sign in the front yard, that they left for about 2 weeks after, to advertise their work.

We left two phone messages for Flynn Roofing over the period of a week and they never returned our calls.

The experience was great from start to finish. Stephen gave us a thorough estimate and allowed us to make adjustments to some of the materials and work details. They started the work soon after. The workers arrived on time and got everything done in two days. They cleaned up COMPLETELY -- we barely had to do any clean up. They were very careful about plants/flowers around our house. All of our neighbors have been complimenting not just the finished product but how quickly they got the work done.

The guy who came to give the estimate went on the roof to look at it which other contractors didn’t do. I had ordered the wrong shingles and he willingly replaced them without any issues. He did a good job and his guys seemed very professional. They worked hard and they did everything that they were supposed to do. Their estimate was a little higher.

Good. Stephen Flynn was a true professional from start to finish. I feel that they did a good job and good cleanup afterwards. Nothing to complain about. Hopefully, i will have a trouble free roof for years to come.

They showed up when scheduled, were careful with property, were polite and professional. My son and I were thinking of doing this ourselves when we first saw the estimate, but after seeing what they went through to erect scaffolding, remove and discard the old stuff, replace everything, clean-up and have it come out looking so good, I'm glad we went with them.

Excellent service from Steve Flynn. Got estimate from Duffy Roofing and Flynn Roofing. Price were almost identical but I felt Steve spent more time looking at the roof on my 3 family house.

Stephen Flynn is just a good, honest person and it was such a pleasure to work with him. He is immediately responsive via email or cell phone. His crew was polite and FAST and friendly. They were finished and out in 3 days. They were so kind, moving my car for me when I was 9 months pregnant, and moving their materials so I could park in the driveway. They cracked a storm window and had it replaced lickety split. It was really a pleasure and I recommend them highly.

Overall, I cannot recommend Flynn highly enough. If you need roofing done in the Quincy area, just hire Flynn. His employees are professional and do excellent work, and he cares deeply about his company and their work. Quality craftsmen are difficult to find. I was extremely impressed with Flynn roofing from start to finish. When Stephen came out to prepare a quote, he took extensive measurements and took the time to explain different areas to me. His quote was extremely competitive, but this was not due to using substandard parts or cutting corners. Stephen clearly takes great pride in his work and his company, and was upfront about being licensed and insured appropriately. He was happy to provide me with proof of both, which I confirmed. Fall is a busy season for roofers, and Stephen was no exception -- it took a few calls and emails to get a quote from him, but it was well worth the wait. Once we had confirmed with him, Stephen worked with us to schedule the roof quickly since we were going on our honeymoon within a couple weeks. This is despite already being busy with other jobs. He never made me feel guilty or like I was putting him out by my difficult scheduling, just worked with me to make things work. When the work began we were thrilled with his foreman, Mark, and the whole crew. If they say they will show up at 7am, you will hear metal ladders on your roof at 6:59:59am, and the work will begin immediately. The crew was good sized, and they completed the entire roof, gutters, and other carpentry in two full days of work. They barely took breaks for lunch, and were careful of our yard. The quality is top notch; I've inspected a few areas up close from a ladder, and they were careful about sealing areas appropriately and flashing where needed. The gutters are a huge improvement, and the leaf relief seems to be helping keep them clean. In addition to the roofing, they took the time (at my request) to fix a couple of soffit areas that had been damaged by nesting. This was outside their normal type of work, but they did it well and charged a fair price for it. Stephen stopped by a couple of times during the day with materials and to check on progress. A few weeks later, he stopped by to pickup his sign and check on the roof. Overall we are extremely satisfied with Flynn Roofing, and would highly recommend his work to anybody.

Great bunch of guys. Years after the work was complete a few ridge vents popped out (out of his control) and Steven was happy to stop by to take care of it. That's the kind of customer service lacking these days.

Flynn and his crew were courteous, punctual, and diligent. The foreman was happy to answer any questions that I had. There is really no story to tell: the work began in the morning and was over in a couple of days. I'm very satisfied with the work that was done. I recommend Flynn Roofing without reservation.

He was very responsive and courteous. I would recommend them to others if you were going to have a new roof.

They sent a crew of guys out to remove my old roof and install a new one, and it only took them about a day and a half. They were very efficient, always busy and pretty much working nonstop. They were excellent on their cleanup too.

Dealing with Stephen Flynn was a pleasure. He provides a professional portfolio of shingle designs. He is clear about what he intends to do and when. He provided expert advice for me to consider. For example, he convinced me to replace a nearly flat shingle roof on my addition with a rubber membrane roof. He and his crew work hard, are cautious about protecting property and are very courteous. He seems technically very precise and up-to-date with the best materials. I researched the roof vents he used and discovered they were state of the art. My property was left exceptionally clean. Even my garden was hardly effected.

Stephen Flynn was pleasant to talk to, stuck to promised dates, and was very gracious about a mix-up when the wrong shingles were delivered (basically he absorbed the extra cost of the one side that had to be re-done because the wrong shingles came.) I give a B for professionalism only because there was a little damage to our bushes and more nails in the yard than I thought I'd find. But on the whole they cleaned up pretty nicely.
