All of the sale people the measurer the carpenter were very quality people however the product is very poor and I was not warned of this when starting this project I am very disappointed with the quality which was called Martha Stewart sharky gray laminate for the cabinets. They not designed for the scheme of the kitchen they have blistered near a heat source they came right out to replace three of my cabinet doors when it first happened. However my cabinets are now blistering again because of the poor quality of this product. I have tried to call back to get them replaced again however I have had no response to all my phone calls on this matter. I have had these cabinets less than a year. The workers are quality people but the product is not and they are not standing by their product because they are not responding.
Description of Work: Refaced all cabinets in kitchen.

carpet installation

The guy who came to take the measurements tried to tell us that he couldn't come out when we had originally scheduled him to because our house was too far from where he'd be. After we almost cancelled altogether, he called back to tell us that he would in fact make the ride to our house and seemed annoyed with us. We wouldn't have minded changing times, but with our work schedule, we couldn't make it work to his convenience. When we went to go pick the carpet in the store, the lady in the Plymouth store was extremely nice and helpful and we really appreciated her attention to us and her help. The day of the installation, the 2 men who came to install the rug brought a girlfriend along to help which I was a little hesitant about but figured as long as it was done correctly I didn't really mind that much. They rolled the carpet outside on the wet ground and walked along it in their boots, but again, when it went in i didn't see any stains so I figured it was something I could overlook since it didn't seem to matter. At one point they seemed frustrated by something but I couldn't tell what it was because they were speaking in spanish. they were relatively quick and at first glance everything looked great. They did a quick vacuum of the rug and we thanked them and they went on their way. 2 days later, as I went to vacuum the rug, the rug completely broke down and left spots where the carpet had been pulled out and left tendrils over an inch long sprouting out all over the carpet. When you pulled on these, the carpet would lift almost 2 inches off the floor underneath which although I'm not a carpet pro, I am pretty sure they'll supposed to stretch it so that doesn't happen. When I called home depot to report the issues, the lady on the phone was again very nice and helpful, but they weren't able to get someone to come look at the carpet until this last saturday which was 2 and a half weeks after the original complaint. After the claims man came to look at it and take a sample, he said it'd be at least another 2 weeks until there is a verdict on how they will plan to fix this. That is over a month in our new home with a rug that has furry spots. We are still currently waiting on the consensus from the installation company. I guess home depot outsources the installation work to another company and although the home depot people were super nice and have tried their best to help us out, the installation company they use is aweful. We had chose them because of the financing option, but now this simple job has become quite a headache and I can't even vacuum our carpet while we wait without ruining it further! We are not satisfied and although we do love the home depot, this service is one that we wouldn't do through them again.
Description of Work: Home Depot came to remove an existing carpet in our new house and install wall to wall loop carpet in our living room and on our stairs. We ordered the platinum plus carpet assuming that it would be one of the highest quality and last us the longest since it is in a high traffic area.

We had carpet installed in six rooms. A couple years later the carpet lifted. First we were told the installation was only guaranteed for a year. After several complaints Home Depot sent an installer out to restretch the carpet. This appeared to work for several months, but then it stretched again. They sent an inspector out to look at the carpet and reported back that I had the carpet commercially cleaned and it caused the problem. I have never hired a commercial cleaner. My children have long left the nest so not the need to clean the carpet often. I may have used a small rug cleaner on it which if you search the internet, steam cleaning is the number one method of cleaning carpet. Shop you local carpet dealer..you won't regret it.
