JUST IN TIME CLOCK SHOP

Description of Work: The shop is closed. The owner died.

Description of Work: I brought my wall clock in for an oiling, and also the chiming was not right. He said it would be about 4 wks. I did not hear from him in 4 wks. so I called him. He said he would need a little more time. I believe he had it for another week. When we brought it home it was not working correctly. The clock hands had been bent, my husband fixed that. Then a few days later the hands fell off completely. Again, my husband fixed the clock. It never did play the chimes right, since we got it back. One of the hinges on the door had been bent also. It appeared that the door had been opened beyond what it should have been. My father had passed away and I could not deal with anything else. I finally called the shop and explained the problem regarding the chimes not working right. He said that everything was working just fine when the clock left his shop. I told him that it had not been working correctly and I also told him about the other problems with the hands bent and then they had fallen off. He offered for us to bring it back. We did. The chimes are still not working correctly. We will not be bringing it back to him. This clock is very special to us. We purchased it in North Carolina, while we were on vacation celebrating our 25th anniversary. The clock was a gift that we bought together for our anniversary. I loved hearing the chimes before it was "fixed" now it sounds sick. Very disheartening. I can not recommend this clock shop.
