 + -1 moreWe called and a representative came over to give us a quote to replace existing steps and walkway. We received a quote and decided on the spot to move forward and we called that afternoon to schedule an appointment to select the materials. Despite multiple phone calls and messages left, we never receive a call back so we were not able to do business with them despite our best efforts.

 + -1 moreI was in desperate need of new front steps that were pitched back towards the house and were leaking into the basement. I did not want hollow pre-fab steps. I called Tim and he called me back timely, we arranged for him to come look at the stairs and he showed up when he said he would. He gave me an estimate and told me it would be in 6 weeks. 6 weeks later, he was there! (Of course with a a phone call to me the week before). His crew jackhammered the old steps, took away the rubble, installed flashing and rebar where necessary and poured the new steps. I was going to get plain old concrete stairs and he suggested a basic stamp (Vegas I think) with a pop of color. I couldn't be more pleased with the results! (See for yourself with the before and after pics) One year later (2017) when a chimney contractor got some mortar on the steps and they were dulled, Tim came back and put a coating on them to revive the look. He did this free of charge, which is a sign of someone who values his customers and stands by his work. I would hire Tim again for any concrete work and recommend him highly.
Description of Work: New poured concrete entry steps. I included a platform in the front and on the side for water hose.

 + -1 moreThe estimate went well. I was really excited to choose the company and on sit Tim was very professional. I understood there was allot of work and I was told the job wouldn't be able to be done until August. After a few other consults we decided to go with the company and we arranged late august for a secondary look at the area. I had not heard anything as of august neared so I called and was told to call back so they could check appointments. I called and called with no results. I had my wife call while I was away for training and still nothing. I was really looking forward to the product and quality I had seen but I am not willing to put my money into a company that can't manage it's time.

 + -1 moreI initially called this company because of all the positive reviews on Angie's list. Numerous attempts to contact had no response. I would call and leave a message and get no call back. I emailed and got no response. The one time he answered his cell, he told me he'd get back to me by the end of the week, and I never heard from him. If he's not interested in doing the work, that's fine. Just tell me so and I'll look elsewhere.

 + -1 moreWe have used Tim before and found him to be honest and reasonable from his estimates to keeping costs down. This project was to be a wooden deck structure leading out to concrete patio. Instead Tim was reassuring enough to convince us that concrete stairs would be better than wood...and it is. We are very pleased with the outcome, and have all the design elements we were looking for and more. Tim was able to tie in the existing work he had done and created a very appealing design patio and stairs. His and quot;stampand quot; into the concrete looks just like block. All gutters drain away underground, and the retaining wall around the pool is just awesome. He was very prompt with a call back and was there the next day giving an estimate. My front fence was removed and replaced perfectly to accommodate the excavator and the grass was reworked with top soil and seed after the project was completed. The whole concrete surface was sealed and work areas were swept clean. His workers are very professional and were the same crew as last time. My wife and I felt very comfortable around them. Excellent job all around. Thanks Tim!

 + -1 moreWe are very happy with the work that was done and feel that the cost was very reasonable and the finished job was excellent. Would definitely use this company again and would recommend them to our family and friends for future work.
Description of Work: Tim came to our residence and gave us the estimate for the job which was create a patio about 10 feet by 15 feet. The estimate was very reasonable and we hired Set in Concrete to do the work. Tim gave us the timeframe when they could do the work. Tim arrived on 5/2 and let me know that one of his people would be over to do the job. The person who came was named Vitaly and he did a great job in getting the area ready for the concrete to be poured. Tim returned and they worked together to get the forms ready for the concrete. Vitaly began his work at about 1:30 PM and he and Tim were ready for the concrete delivery which was 4:00 PM. The concrete had to be manually brought in with a wheelbarrow as the cement truck could not get into the back yard. They did a fantastic job in getting the work done quickly and neatly. Vitaly was able stamp the concrete by about 6:30 PM and did a great job with this. He then cleaned up and said that he would return the next morning to finish once the concrete had set overnight. He was at the house at 7:00 AM the next morning and finished up by power washing the area and sealing the concrete. The finished product was superb and we are very satisfied with the work.

I thought his price was reasonable and as he had good reviews on Angie's , I didn't bother getting other estimates. He was very professional and pleasant to deal with, did a nice job and cleaned up afterwards. Would use him again.

 + 0 moreAlthough I did wait a bit before the new patio floor was installed consequential to Set in Concrete's full schedule, it was worth the wait. They removed an existing deteriorating flag stone patio. At my request, they saved the salvageable flag stones. They then installed and sealed an Ashlar pattern stamped concrete patio floor. The price was reasonable and the team was professional. The finished product is impressive.

 + 1 moreI think they did a nice job and I have been mostly pleased with it. When they put the patio in they didn't take away all the gravel underneath that was in places, but there's a garden there and so I've had difficulty digging down to plant things because I have like a rock bed there instead of having soil. It was like some shortcuts were taken a little bit in that area. I had them come back but they really sort of dismissed me instead of agreeing that it shouldn't have occurred. I would use them in the future but probably with more caution. I did pay attention when they did it, but that's sort of the annoying part. It's not every where and is just in one section, but it was a section that I really wanted to plant in and I can't get that stuff out myself. It's physically too heavy.
Description of Work: Set In Concrete put in a patio and did two 20 ft. walkways, one out to the sidewalk from one side and one into the driveway. It's like stamped concrete and not just a plain surface, so it looks like blue or gray stone.

 + -1 moreOverall I had a great experience working with the Set in Concrete company. Tim was great. Great personality and very professional. Quick response. i would use this company again and suggest it to others.
Description of Work: The service that was performed was a stamped patio. I called Tim and he responded very promptly. He came over and gave me an estimate when he said he was going to. He told me the date he would be over to start the job and he actually stuck to the date. He was very professional. I told him what I would like done and he suggested that I do a different layout since it would look better around the deck. The patio was poured and stamped and when finished came out beautiful. I was happy with the suggestion that Tim gave me.

 + -1 moreTim was great. They excavated on day one, formed, poured and stamped on day 2, Then came back to regrade and reseed the area. Then they put a seal coat on the surface. The coloration was just what we wanted.

 + -1 moreI saw one of there signs in town.. So I called and Tim answered the phone.. We talked a lil bit over the phone then we set an apoitment and he came over and just gave me a bunch if ideas of what we can do for a drive way.. So he showed me pictures of previous jobs and I really liked the Vegas stamp and ashler stamp., Vegas for the border and walkway and the steps and ashler for the driveway.. I picked walnut for my color.. Tim was a very easy goin guy easy to talk to and work with.. He really knows what he's doin.. The guys that work for him are very polite and plesent guys.. I'm planning to do a patio next year in the back of the house and I will call set in concrete to do it.. They do a fantastic job.. I love them.. My driveway came out great all my neighbors came out were lookin at it.. Some were jealus.. OUTSTANDING!!!!
Description of Work: They came in ripped my old asphalt driveway. Excavated it brought in hard pack spread it out built 2 sets of steps.. And a walkway connecting my driveway and the other 2 steps.. Poured it and stamped it.. Then washed everything off cleaned everything and sealed it.. And after all that brought in loam soil and greated everything and planted grass..

 + 0 moreThey were good. They did a beautiful job. Everybody that comes by loves the patio. It is all concrete but it looks like it is stone. It is beautiful and breathtaking. They were almost artistic in what they did. Everybody on my street has raved about the patio.
Description of Work: We used Set In Concrete to do our back patio. Our whole back patio was a mess. They came and cleaned it all out and they put in a brand new patio and built up the surface with stone. They did all the cement work.
