Matt came out the day after we talked. The project was to rebuild an older deck and to replace a retaining wall around the pool. He sent the quote within a couple of days, followed up with me to answer any questions and we tentatively scheduled the work for the middle of August. He came out the end of July and started on the deck. He used the existing framework, but had to make a number of adjustments to ensure the integrity and stability of the new deck. At the end of the first day the deck planks were installed and the structure was solid as a rock. The second day he and his partner went to work on the retaining wall. They took out the old one, dug a deeper and wider trench for the new one, added and compacted the stone dust base and proceeded to build the wall. They used the dirt that they removed to level out the area around my shed and behind the pool. On the final day they capped the blocks, added finishing touches to the retaining wall, and finished the stairs on the deck. All in all Matt and Mario did a phenomenal job and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Unfortunately, the new lower deck makes the older upper deck look even shabbier than it did. After pool season, I will be calling Matt to come and replace that deck too.

I had a great experience with Matt once we got started late because of the pandemic. I've lived in my first house for 18 years and have always wanted to put a deck in the front. The back door frame had rotted out so here was my excuse to do some fun stuff. I met two other builders. One was an old curmudgen and the other was a young kid that didn't seem to care about appearance. Then i met Matt. 34 yr. old and professional looking. I told him about the back door and said not a problem. Then I told him my ideas for the deck which turned into a beautiful screened in 8x10 porch. I had my ideas and told me what he had done in the past. The project was not "set in concrete" so to speak. We both had ideas and my vision came out through his work. It could not have come out any better. I would highly recommend Matt for any project you can think of. Once we got started it was done quickly. His work was simple yet elegant. Perfect job. Needed a deck lagged to the house by insurance company. Did the work as needed at a reasonable price.

We had a 40 year old red brick fireplace with a raised hearth. It's now totally covered in wood with different layers of moulding and quartz stone as a surround and flat surface on hearth. So nice to look at now. Job was done fairly quickly. Looks so much better. Matt did a good job and the price was reasonable. This is the second job we've used him for. Did a great Carport build for us about 6 months ago.

After we had Matt do our deck for us in Plympton last year we called him to do a basement remodel in a recently purchased home in Plymouth. He was able to handle the permitting issues, and include the framing, drywall, electrical and painting. He brought the project in on time and within the budget that he quoted.

We hired Matt to redo the front porch. We have no complaints at all. The estimate was fair and sent to us quickly. Matt showed up when he said he would and the work was completed on time. We would definitely recommend Matt for other projects.

We had Matt look at our deck for recommendations after the other contractor said that a composite deck was too expensive and repairs were not an option. Matt gave pricing to repair the deck, do it with fir and also with composite materials. His composite price was less that the competition's fir price including some custom benches that were added. He did the work on schedule and it came out beautifully. Just a great person to work with.

Matt was excellent to work with. Received a few estimates. His was very fair. He came when he was supposed to, did what he said he was going to do. The carport looks great, building inspector signed off on it. It was done on time and on budget. We are hiring him to do other projects. Highly recommend for a variety of jobs. R. & P. Mydlack

Matt repaired old interior stairs and they came out very well. He still has not come back to repair a sharp wooden edge, that he said he would fix on the edge of the stairs, where my grandchildren could stab themselves. Matt repaired a small sunroom roof and used HIS leftover shingles from a previous job, that DID NOT MATCH MY EXISTING ROOF! My existing roof was tan, he used HIS SHINGLES FROM PREVIOUS JOB THAT WAS GRAY. He never discussed this with me, just did it! He is still supposed to come back and match the roof color to his gray shingles, over a bay window, so at least the first floor will all have the same color roof! The main house and bay window is TAN, the sunroom is GRAY! He used wall paint on a sunroom ceiling and had to repaint the entire ceiling, BECAUSE HE NEVER DISCUSSED WITH ME which can of paint in the cellar to use. He was always rushing through every job, and consequently had to come back to fix. HOWEVER I LET ALL OF THESE ISSUES GO! I did speak with him, but told him, I still had more jobs for him to complete but we needed better communication. He agreed. He started not showing up after making an appointments. He did come back once because the sunroom roof he repaired was leaking, and a huge rain storm was coming, I called him hysterical, that the wood floor was going to be ruined if he did not come back and fix active leaking roof and ceiling. He still has to repair the 'bubble' caused by leaking rain water under the ceiling paint. This happened multiple times that he would make an appointment and never show up and never call. He has never come back to finish jobs and I owe him money. He is very polite, but totally unprofessional. He is just thinking about the next job, and of course ones that are bigger than mine. When he needed my work, he called back the following day at 7 AM: Once he got more jobs I never heard from him again. Every job he did he had to come back and fix. Nothing was ever done right the first time. Always rushing to get done. MY ADVICE_ LOOK ELSEWHERE. Being polite and soft spoken is great, but when I need help and am counting on someone to perform a task in a timely way, ....I want someone who will follow through and work with me. I am very disappointed in him. I took a bunch of his business cards, and posted them at both of my jobs. I went back and took them down. I did not want my colleagues and friends to attach my name to his unprofessional behavior.

Matt did a very good job on two projects. He put up a ceiling in my screen room, and insulted a new counter top and sink in my bathroom. I would recommend to others.

Matt is personable and has an excellant work ethic.

He did a great job and cared about his work. I am recommending him to my friends. His pricing is really fair and goes above and beyond. Mr. Tremblay is a very hard worker and reveals good workmanship skills. You can tell he enjoys what he does. I plan on calling him next year when I am ready to refinish my bathroom.
