I found Ron Hansen, of Federal Building Inspection, on Angie's List. Ron performed a very thorough inspection of the single family home in Falmouth for me. The inspection took 3+ hours. I followed Ron around the property where he pointed out various issues with the home. Ron made notes as we went. (I made my own notes too.) Ron noticed many issues that I never would have noticed. Through-out the inspection Ron maintained a very calm demeanor. He wasn't judgemental about the issues he found, he merely pointed them out to me. Ron emailed me his inspection report that evening and also mailed out the report to me via the post office. After the inspection, we decided not to purchase the home because a family member is asthmatic and the home turned out to not be "move in ready" in that regard. Also, there were some additional issues with the house, that needed immediate attention, that we were not prepared to address. We thought that we could move in on day one to this home and make changes gradually. This assumption turned out to be false. So we decided not to purchase. Our home search will continue. When we find another home we are interested in purchasing, we will be hiring Federal Building Inspection again.
