I hired this company and when I initially made contact through Home Adviser, they offered online scheduling or scheduling by telephone. The scheduling required a two hour window for the technicians to arrive. I opted to schedule online. I received an email confirming the appointment. Then, the day of the appointment, the end of the two hour window passed and so I called the company. The woman who answered the phone could not find the appointment in her system, although I did receive confirmation via email. So, she graciously offered to give me a two hour window for the next day. I received a text confirmation for this appointment. Nearing the close of this window on the next day, she called to explain that her technicians were running late and to ask if we could reschedule. I agreed. I texted her possible time for the following week, as this was a Friday. I was able to get the appointment scheduled for the third time. This time, the technicians did show up. They were courteous and professional, but very unfamiliar with the thermostat I had for them to install (sensi). I had indicated that this was the thermostat I had for them to install in the initial request for the work. They worked to figure out how to install it, even calling sensi technical support. They finally completed the job. I also have a kitchen light that is not functioning properly and to have them simply diagnose the light head cost $276, which I thought was very high. It is a simple pendant light. The technician initially told me that was the estimate to fix it. He later came to me and said he had made a mistake and that was the price to simply diagnose the issue. He then said because he made the mistake that he would fix it for that amount. However, he was ultimately unable to fix the pendant light. When they finally finished, I paid the sensi installation ($364) PLUS the diagnostic on the lamp ($276) totaling $640. And I still do not have a functioning lamp. In any case, the technicians were doing their best. They had clearly been recently given iPads to use for estimating and billing and they had some trouble figuring out how to use them. They left. About ten minutes passed and I received a phone call from Sylvester Electric. The woman from the company informed me that the technician had FAILED TO CHARGE ME THE $69 "DISPATCH FEE" and she was calling to collect it. I was incredulous. I felt that I had already paid a sizable sum and that the $69 "dispatch fee" (whatever that is) should be waived especially given that they had already invoiced me and I had paid. I argued with the woman and she would not relent. She was rude. I asked to speak to someone in authority who might be able to address the issue. She said no, that he was "out." She said she could take my credit card information over the phone or that I could send a check. I said I would send a check, thinking that I would call back to speak to someone else. About 1/2 hour later, the woman called me back to say that "just this once" they would waive this fee. Seriously, how many charges can they tack on? I have used other service professionals and the most I have ever been charged for a diagnostic is $100 and most do not even charge for that if you end up using their service. But, this company charged me a large diagnostic fee ($276) for a service that they could not complete and I paid for an additional service they did complete while they were here. Then they want to tack on an extra $69. For what? Again, the technicians were courteous and focused on the job. They had to call sensi to get the job done, however, so they were not extraordinarily knowledgeable. I do think they did a fine job, however, other than being unable to fix the light head. I am just furious about the final insult of a fee for nothing.

Not a fan of their pricing, their pricing quite higher than expected. $70 is a diagnostic fee which they do not waive if you get the work done and over $500 to replace a breaker. They want to sell you on a monthly subscription to reduce your bill. Look they are good people and do a good job surveying your property. I think this job can easily been done for under $300 no doubt. Pricing is my biggest concern with them.

Extremely professional. Quality of work is also excellent. In fact, I hired them to take care of a job a different electrician botched up (Stella Electric). It took these guys just a few minutes to get it done. Be advised that they charge fixed prices, and those prices are very high. It is kind of like going to a fancy restaurant and getting the *prix fixe* menu. You know it will be good, but you are going to pay through your nose for it, even if the job ends up only taking like 2 minutes. You get what you pay for I guess. Also, be prepared to pay a $70 *we came to your house* fee, even if it is just for a quote. If I had an absolutely mission-critical job that I knew had to get done correctly within the next few days, I would go with these guys because money would be less of an issue. If it is not time-sensitive or extremely important, I would recommend shopping around for someone who will likely be less expensive and does not have to carry this company s huge overhead.

From the first phone call with Erica to schedule an appointment to the actual service done by Paul and Justin, I have nothing but great comments. Work was done efficiently and the technicians were very personable. Work areas were all cleaned up after the work was completed. Both made sure to walk me through the work done. I particularly liked receiving a text and email when they were on their way with their images so I knew ahead of arrival who to expect. If I have future electrical work, I would not hesitate to use Paul and Justin from Sylvester Electric again!

They discovered that the problem was simple (water from a house plant dripped into the TV surge protector and flipped the circuit breaker in the living room.). I was relieved to learn this was not a problem of our outlets or electrical wiring.

Solid experience with this company -- would use them again. Only frustration I had was trying to get through to them to schedule the second apt where they had to return to complete the job but really wasn't too bad. I'd recommend them to others.
